I tried the Jägerschnitzel and was very happy with it. A huge schnitzel with plenty of Jägersauce (bacon, peppers and paprika tomato sauce). The sauce had a little kick to it. Excellent. It comes with a nice serving of crunchy French fries. My wife had the schnitzel Wiener Art and had some of my sauce to spice it up. It was very busy, just before a hockey game just down the street. Our waitress was very attentive even though she was very busy. The place is loud, esp with a musician playing accordion. Great atmosphere but impossible to have a conversation.

Drinks were brought over in near record time and while our food was being prepared we wandered around a bit. I enjoyed the stein lockup area and grand hall feel. Our food came and the misses Germany burger was cooked to her liking and the little one loved her pretzel bites. The little yelper wasn't into their cheese burger and took a few bites, mainly focused on the bites and my chicken wing meat. Which for asking for saucy wings, these were like dry.... And I mean if there was a drop of sauce on the plate that was a lot. While I enjoyed the bleu cheese the wings were a notch below average at best. After the food was served, we didn't see our waitress at all....i mean for a solid 20+ mins. Looked around and she was quite difficult to track down , it got to the point when it was time to pay the bill I spotted her near a register and went to her. No way she was escaping us again... she explained that they were under staffed and her table Load more than doubled. While I appreciate the history of HB, I'd be ok skipping a return trip.

However, there was no popcorn, so they gave us some free nacho appetizers instead to share amongst everyone participating. They played the movie outside on their patio with a projector and blow up screen, which I wish it was advertised ahead of time that it was outside, so that we could be more prepared for the chilly weather. It also would have been better if they had their fire pit on and/or the space heater for those unprepared folks like us. Not your average Nachos 9/10 The corn tortilla chips were amazing by themselves. The queso, I was very surprised to taste homemade beer cheese (I didn't look at the menu before), it was really good and a little went a long way on those chips. I just wish the chips at the bottom had a teeeeny bit more. The only other topping was some shredded cheese. Salsa and sour cream were on the side, the salsa was good also.

We loved that dogs are allowed on the patio, and met a very friendly retriever when we visited. I ordered the Let's Go Pils, which was cold, light, and tasty. My hubby ordered the small batch, dry hopped Foeder, which neither of us enjoyed. It was disappointing. This is a trendy, hip place with lots of beer selections.

Good but not great…read more The good: cute inside, employees were friendly. The cocktails were delish- had the watermelon mojito and it was fabulous. The octopus was delish and a good portion. The pana cotta and tarte was fantastic. The meh: some of the servers could be dressed more professionally for a "fine dining" restaurant. Everything was over salted. Significantly. There were several dishes we couldn't even finish. Our ribeye was well done (tragic) when we ordered med rare. The server spilled things several times on the table which he was very apologetic for but still.... Nothing was a wow which doesn't match the prices here, not to mention that you get solicited for cash from the people outside the door on the way out which makes it even less worth the drive. Kind of a miss.

The portions are generous and the flavor outstanding! The menu is varied and we had a hard time choosing our meals... At one person with us had the Nashville hot chicken.Another person had the bright smith cheese steak and I chose the white pizza... ,we argued about whose meal was better!! I really want to go back because they have a brisket plate that looked so good that I was thinking of ordering it as well as the pizza. We also got the meat street pizza which was fine. The low rating is mainly due to the prices because how much we paid and what we got was not equivalent at all. The dip was $16 and the pizza $26. Each should have been at least half of that. Overall it was disappointing and overpriced and we won't be returning.
