We also sat outside so I understand that sometimes we may be a little "forgotten." This place is also dog-friendly so that's a plus! There were many water bowls outside. I am adding a star to my previous review of 6 years ago. We came by for lunch on the 4th of July. It is a very large venue with different seating options. We ordered at the bar and the server provided our drinks and we chose a table, I got the loganberry wit, which I enjoyed. I usually get a beer that tastes like beer, but for loganberry I made an exception. For lunch I ordered the shorty weck, which is a braised short rib sandwich on a weck roll, and it was outstanding. I also added the 5 wing option for $7.16. The thick chunks of meat on the sandwich were very tender and delicious. I also chose the side salad in place of fries. The wings were also a hit. Not only did we have a very good and nice waiter, we had a lovely lunch. It was the monthly "lunch bunch" get together. It was a table of 12, so our waiter had a lot to do, taking the orders and keeping them straight and keeping the glasses filled with water or soda pop. I truly love going to resurgence. They offer a great variety of bar food and craft beer. It is a fun place. We just sit around with friends. The only downsize is the service at the bar is very slow last time I went there. We have been to Resurgence many times for drinks, we love Christine who helps with promotions of products / sampling. We usually don't eat here but decided to stop for dinner and ordered wings. They were actually sauced well, hot and delicious. We tried the MVP and for the ward sauces and both were delicious! We sat at the bar and the bartender was mediocre but we are fine with that. Not my first visit here and it wan't be my last. They have great beers and good food. I started with a Buf IPA, a hazy New England style IPA. Fruity notes and about 6.5% ABV. Another fun discovery thanks to the WNY Craft Brew Tour Cards from Habitat for Humanity. This place is HUGE. There is a large parking lot but it's gravel so anyone using mobility devices may want to circle the block for street parking. The host at the front was friendly and helpful, and let me know what kinds of seating were available so they could find me a perfect one for my needs. My server was great too so big kudos to the staff here. I sat indoors; the patio looks awesome too so this is a multiple-visits-to-see-everything kind of place. I had a Loganberry Wit (wheat beer) with a Bacon Bleu burger. Both beer and burger were good. They were generous with the bleu cheese, bacon, and garlic aioli. I'd say four stars on the beer and three on the burger - it's a frozen-patty style but the toppings were on point and the bun was great so that made up for it. The food menu is pretty vanilla. The drinks menu is excellent! There are a ton of beer choices plus wines and a great cocktail list. I will definitely be returning for that. This place is loud. It felt like a big party atmosphere, in a good way, but a little overwhelming until my brain adjusted to it (as a noise-sensitive person I always like to note these things). There was music but I could barely hear it over all the people; conversations need to be at an "outside voice" volume. You can see the huge brewing and canning gear - it is super neat. Stopped by on a Saturday night a few weeks before Christmas and this place was hopping! We waited about 40 minutes to get a table in the restaurant area which is much quieter than the huge bar area. You can also order food in the bar area if you like to scream to be heard. Burgers were very good with some interestingly cut fries (slightly crunchier than regular fries). First time where but will not be my last! I really enjoyed the brewery tour and learned a lot about the different types of brews they make. The food was very good as well. We shared a few appetizers and my favorites were the hot pepper dip and the chili Brussel sprouts. I got the honey garlic chicken sandwich for my meal with regular fries and the fries had such a great flavor! Chicago burger 7/10 Two smash burger patties. The pickles came through a lot overriding some other flavors to me. The Onions would be better if they were sautéed down a little more. They were almost raw. It definitely needed a tad more dressing too to balance the flavors. Amount of cheese was good. Silo Sammy 8/10 Good flavor on here. The steak was shaved and cooked plain. Then you get some heat with the banana pepper cheese. Didn't really taste the garlic aioli much. For this to be better I have 2 suggestions: if the bread was like a garlic bread it would be amazing. Or, I also think pan frying it like a grilled cheese would also make it better with the caramelization of the bread. Potato wedges 10/10 Delicious, perfectly salted and seasoned, and perfectly fried. Truffle Garlic aioli 7/10 Very truffley. A little definitely goes a long way. Beer cheese 8/10 Smooth and thick. A good cheesy flavor. The highlights of the meal were the brussel sprouts, potato wedges, burger and chicken fingers. The lows were the hot pepper dip, it literally had no taste or heat. Wife got the honey chipotle chicken sandwich which she said was way to sweet. It was suppose to have pepper jack cheese, but if it did it did not provide any heat to offset all that sweetness. You can add on 5 wings to any handheld sandwhich, for 7 bucks, which we all did. The wings were good. Could of been crispier but overall a decent wing. the long line this weekend at taste of buffalo was more than worth the wait! the barley brussels with sweet chili glaze and pickled fresnos were so amazingly delicious that we went back before we left the festival and ordered more to take home! the servings were generous. had no idea what fresnos were, but now that we've googled them (a pepper, similar in heat to jalapeno), we can say that their heat was offset by the sweet chili perfectly. we don't like hot but we loved this dish. fortunately, it's on their regular menu, so resurgence is now on our lengthening list of places to go. read more

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon following a high school JV hockey championship game at the Harbor Center. Our large group was seated immediately, even though the place was bustling with a Saturday night wedding. I was first struck by the trendy industrial chic decor throughout this gleaming stainless steel brewery. Our kids enjoyed watching the brewmaster performing his tasks on a scissor-lift truck. The floor to ceiling windows take excellent advantage of tonight's beautiful sunset. We are a very hungry lot, so we ordered up a bunch of appetizers. Soon our table was filled with a Giant pretzel, Queso and honey mustard; savory poutine; deep fried pickles, spicy & sweet Brussels sprouts! Every plate was brimming with flavor, an absolute delight! The entrée's are innovative and exciting! The chicken wings were sweetly sauced with BBQ. The Caesar salad wrap contained a bean patty. We had two rice bowls, very delicious and brimming with shrimp and chicken. The kids meals were satisfying for our pickiest eaters. By the way, almost every table in this dining area was full of families with very small kids. The very large bar area was full of young adults. I can't comment on the adult beverages as I don't imbibe. But I had a very tasty fruit mocktail. Very large and spacious spot. Very clean and cutely decorated. Large selections of beers along with fully stocked bar, including some great bourbon selections. Friendly staff. Only thing so didn't like was having to order from the bar. It wasn't that crowded when there and still the wait to put an order in was a bit much, so I can only imagine how that works on a busy day/night. But the food was very good. We tried the Silo Sammy, it was bomb! Upgraded to some onion rings which were cooked perfectly and seasoned well! The steak had a lot of flavor and melted in our mouth. There's a lot going on at Resurgence to accommodate a variety of crowds. Outdoor space has umbrella picnic tables and some chairs around fire pits. It's dog friendly and kid friendly. A few tables are reserved for full service dining but the rest are open so you can just get drinks, apps, etc. Indoor space has two levels. The upper level and the brew loft are for groups / special events. But there's also plenty of high top tables on the ground level, and two bars and a kitchen. Food and drinks are ordered from the bar and you get a pager for food. You pickup food yourself. Drinks were great! They have a variety of their beers on tap, as well as wine and cans of vodka-soda type drinks. Food was ok. Deep fried pickles and fried cheese curds were great shareable apps. However I wasn't a fan of the Buffalo wing dip. As someone who eats a lot of wing dip, this one was not a good representation of a wing dip. It had a blah flavor with a processed texture. I couldn't taste Frank's or blue cheese, and wondered if it even had chicken in it (because it was blended there were no shreds). Also, there were not enough chips to finish the dip. The other times I've been here the entrees and catered foods I had were fine though. So overall, come here for a drink and maybe a meal, but skip the wing dip. read more

A small group of us stopped in around the time of seeing a show at Shea's. It's the perfect distance to be close enough to the theater without having to worry about the crowd or getting there late if you're stopping for a bite before the show. While the building was packed, there was still plenty of room. I was impressed at the sheer size and space of everything and how they managed to keep a good flow of service while having two different birthday parties at the same time too. The food came out quickly and the appetizer with the Buffalo chicken wing dip was delicious. I am not typically one for spicy things, but I felt like it was a must try, and I really enjoyed it. The spice was nice without being overwhelming. On the flip side, I decided to try a cooling Greek rice dish for my entree. Full disclosure, I've been to Greece and nothing will ever beat a Greek dish in Greece. I've been let down with Greek food here since I've come back, so it was a surprise when I actually really enjoyed this dish. The tzatziki was very refreshing, though I could've used more of it. The dish was really delicious. My only downfall was the pita was a bit over cooked, but aside from that, I would absolutely order it again. We came in for a late lunch on a Tuesday and I'll just say - the location is freaking awesome. Parking was pretty easy outside but I imagine it might get rough when it's super busy. You walk in the front door and WOW, large tall ceilings, a gorgeous long bar, and then behind the bar is the whole beer process. It is gorgeous and so unique and cool to see their manufacturing process while you eat lunch! And it smells so good in there, like fresh beer! We ordered at the bar and started with a flight - I got all their sour/fruited beers and they were all super tasty. I loved how many options they had. They currently have a blueberry ale and oh my god - this may be one of the best beers I have ever had. It really captured the blueberry flavor and was just plain delicious. I could drink these all summer long. I got the steak sandwich and it was great as well. Food came out quickly and they delivered it to our table. The outdoor patio area was great for a lunch spot, we loved sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful day. I recently visited Resurgence on a quick trip to Buffalo. This place was super nice. We were greeted very quickly and seated within minutes. It's had a very modern yet art deco/industrial decor. I was with a table of 6 and was seated very quickly. Our waitress was SUPER friendly and personable. The beer selection was great and for a brewery the menu was quite extensive. My wife and I ordered 2 flights to sample as much as we could, she had the poutine, and I had the fish and chips. I must say that was some of the most beautiful crispy fish I've ever had. Cool space with great beer. Upon entering, I walked up to the host and was quickly seated even though most of my party hadn't arrived. We were seated in the dining area next to the brewing production area. I was quickly greeted by the server and put in an order for a couple of flights. It was exciting to try a variety of options and I liked everything I tried. That rarely happens, so I was very impressed. My favorites were the Loganberry Wit and the Cotton Candy Seltzer. I stayed away from IPAs, as I always do and was really excited that everything I tried was low on hops. The Irish red was extremely drinkable and not at all hoppy. Loved it! I also got the poutine. It wasn't totally to my liking, but that's mainly because I'm a vegetarian who goes rogue every once and a while. So, I really wasn't the target audience for the dish. Fries were thin and tasty, cheese was perfectly melted. So, it was a win! Multiple people at my table ordered the fish fry and enjoyed it. They were running out of cole slaw, but it didn't impact my party much. Also, service was attentive and speedy. Overall, this is a solid choice when it comes to Buffalo breweries. Well, I've been here two of three times. It's got a good vibe, but it's nearly impossible to get a bartender to take your order. Once we wanted to get food, but no one ever helped us so we left. But the food others were eating looked good. We recently tried their version of the Tom and Jerry, the Tom and Beery, at first I liked it, but then I didn't.
