Bathroom was a little gamey but it was later in the night and the St. Patty's day crowd was out so I'm sure it's usually much nicer. Definitely give this place a shot. So fun!

When we arrived, everything was up and running as if it were daytime. All the games, rides and attractions were in service. I rode Go Karts for the first time in yearrrs and I actually came in first place. Me! That was dope. The BIG FUN though was all the water rides. Lazy River, pool tubing and the main pool were all open and full of people ready for a great time. We were treated to a DJ who understood the crowd assignment and shoutout to the most wonderful staff. All employees on this night were in a great mood and they gave party vibes too. The promoters didn't over sell this event, so crowds and lines weren't a problem at all. I had such a blast that I wasn't even mad about getting my phone wet. I'm looking forward to going back to The Funplex for another After Dark night out. I thought they were gonna shortchange us but that didn't happen. We were given the whole experience. Good stuff!

It's adults did not get the passes for ourselves so they weren't about to do the go karts. Just something to keep in mind when planning ahead. Overall cute experience for being local.

However there are no public restrooms at all, which was a HUGE challenge for me, especially so soon after having a baby. There was one restroom, which closed at 4:00pm. I showed up exactly at 4:00pm, but was turned away by the staff. I tried again 15 minutes later, but they informed me that they clock out at 4:00pm and letting me use the bathroom would delay them getting home. I have been an hourly employee before and totally get this, but I was a little disappointed by the lack of humanity. Being out for the first time was physically (and emotionally) challenging, and I was hoping for a bit more understanding from the staff.

Everyone crowds around the outside of the train until the conductor waves the golden ticket in his hand and invites everyone on board. We chose the slightly more expensive tickets that are meant to be more performers and less seats (I think?) We were in car number four. All the employees do a great job of staying in character. They're all very talented themselves, singing and dancing throughout the entire ride. Everything seemed to be really well choreographed and well planned. Even quieter parts of the train ride were entertaining. Our daughter is only one year old, but she really enjoyed herself. She loved meeting Santa. Don't bring a stroller on board, there's nowhere to put it. Definitely recommend, especially for children between three and five years old!

My family and I visited the Whippany Railway Museum for the Polar Express train ride, and it was a…read moresweet, holiday-themed experience that the kids will love. Adults less so, but parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents will experience secondary joy from watching the little ones become enveloped by this immersive show. The train ride itself is a short back-and-forth ride on a single track with all the windows covered with wintry decals. But no one would think to complain about the lack of a view because the show makes the whole thing worthwhile. A well-trained cast brings the old picture book to life, complete with live songs, snacks (warm cocoa and shortbread cookies), props (that double as keepsakes), and a visit from Santa. The actors and actresses deserve their own paragraph of laudation. The Polar Express employs an entire cast for each train car (including some that I assumed were shared between train cars), and they're incredible. Not only were they high-energy and perfectly timed with the different acts of the show, but they were WONDERFUL with their interactions with everyone in the car, especially children and babies. In my opinion, they're the backbone of the magic that is the Polar Express train ride experience. Online reservations are a must, and be aware that these tickets seem to sell out fast. We booked our tickets in mid-October and were surprised to see so many seats already booked. Tickets reserve specific seats on specific cars, which makes the process of finding seats on the day of seamless and well-organized. Family pajamas are de rigueur and add to the festive atmosphere of the day. The last thing I'll add - a warning really - is to CHECK YOUR GPS closely on the day of your visit to make sure you're headed to the Whippany location. The address is a common one, and a lot of us were accidentally routed to the wrong address. Judging from the fact that this same reminder is printed in bold and underlined text at the bottom of our confirmation page, it seems this is a common error.

Jo-El Lopez's art focuses on the layered commentary on family, spirituality, and community. The artist features the color purple in each of pictures. The Immersive exhibit is low keyed, compared to many other immersive exhibits in the NY area. Despite being low-keyed, it's highly impressive! The exhibit combines beautifully flowing landscapes and human's impact on nature. Run time is about approx.15 mins. This viewing room has several benches for excellent 360° viewing. The Digital Divine exhibit runs from 10/3/25 - 2/8/26 The Immersive exhibit runs from 11/7/25 - 4/5/26. The museum has a large parking area. Check out the Morris Museum soon. Think you'll enjoy it!

As a fan of the clean aesthetic known as the 'American Craftsman' or 'Mission' style that was…read moreestablished over 100 years ago but still feels modern today, I had long wanted to visit the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in Parsippany-Troy Hills but drove past the signs on NJ Route 10 for the museum hundreds of times without stopping to see what it was all about. Gustav Stickley, a key voice in the 'American Craftsman' movement, held very progressive retailing views for his era - launching a magazine as well as a chain of retail stores (including a 12-story flagship showroom and restaurant in New York City) that showcased his 'Arts and Crafts' design ethos of home furnishings with simple, unadorned, and comparatively plain designs. Think of Gustav as the IKEA of the early 20th century. The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms began as another of his innovative ideas that never came to fruition - a trade school for boys to teach them farming and vocational skills that was located on a 640-acre plot of land in Morris County, New Jersey. When the school failed to materialize, the Stickley family lived here in his Log House, designed and constructed by Stickley to reflect the epitome of the Arts and Crafts aesthetic, for several years. Facing financial challenges from his failing retail empire, Stickley sold the property in 1915 and it remained in private hands until 1989 when Parsippany-Troy Hills Township acquired it to preserve this historic landmark as a museum rather than letting it fall to the wrecking ball in favor of another townhome community. The Log House is only accessible to the public via 60-90-minute long docent-led guided tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm and 2:30pm. Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for seniors; $7 for students with valid ID; and $5 for children up to age 12. Our docent Joan was very knowledgeable about the Stickley family, the original and reproduction artifacts in the home, and the other tiny details that make all of Stickley's creations unique. If you appreciate the Craftsman movement or just want to see where a design legend lived, this is a must-visit historic site. PRO TIP #1: Leave young children at home. With lots of fragile and irreplaceable artifacts within a toddler's reach throughout the museum, this isn't a child-friendly environment. PRO TIP #2: Renew your library card and check whether your local library offers complimentary museum passes for the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms or other local museums.

Craftsman construction spread across the country in part thanks to American furniture designer Gustav Stickley. The most identifiable feature of the home is a low-pitched roof with overhanging eaves and exposed rafters. Another characteristic trademark is a large front porch with sturdy tapered columns. Located off the beaten path of Route 10 inside a 30-acre country estate in Morris Plains, my partner and I had the chance to tour as first-timers this 1911 house of Gustav Stickley, internationally known for his multiple roles as a philosopher, publisher, social critic and associated today with his straightforward furniture, sometimes called "mission" or "Craftsman" furniture. A reservation was made on their website. Upon entering the Museum/Gift Shop, we were greeted by the staff. The tour of 12 people began with a short 5-minute intro video about the family in their renovated kitchen and through the house from the main floor and the second-floor bedrooms. The centerpiece is Stickley's massive Log House, restored to its 1910-1917 appearance, which exemplifies his philosophy of building in harmony with the environment by using natural materials. The tour ran only 1 hour but was packed with so much information and sights of historical background regarding Gustav Stickley and really brought what we were viewing to life. The docent tour leader husband/wife duo Bob and Jan were excellent. The price didn't dent one's pocket, which we could recommend for woodworkers, craftsmen, antique enthusiasts, and children over 10.

My sister and mom were in town visiting and we decided to check it Canvas and Grapes for an…read moreafternoon activity. We had SO much fun from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. The atmosphere and decor was amazing. It was so cute!Luis the head painter and our host was incredible. I thought we were going to maybe be tracing the image onto the canvas (as I have done that in previous paint studios) and we did not. We did everything free hand and he was an excellent teacher and was very helpful. There were several times where I thought I had ruined my painting and he helped me fix little mistakes which just added character and made it unique. There was an awesome playlist going the whole time that kept us excited and signing along (I wish I had a copy of it). I encourage everyone to try this place out and support this new business!
