The spa itself is located inside the JW Marriott Hotel. This hotel is off water street in Tampa, so parking can be a lot sometimes; however if you are doing a spa treatment they validate your valet parking which was very convenient! We checked in at the front desk and an attendant gave us a tour of the spa facilities. The spa area included a locker room, showers, steam rooms, sauna, and lounge area with tea, flavored water, bottled water, and small snacks like fruit, nuts, etc. The lounge area also had day beds and really comfy chairs! Outside had a beautiful view of Tampa, a mineral pool, and lounge chairs to enjoy the view. With all the amenities the price was definitely worth it! When booking a service there is a small note that idoes let you know that the 20% gratuity is automatically added to the final cost of what service you received. I had the YBOR REVIVOR THERAPY, this included a scalp massage. The oil that was used was amazing. While I enjoyed my experience thoroughly and the amenities, the massage itself was more of an 7.5/10. I believe the time for the massage itself actually includes the dressing and redressing-- so the amount of time didn't feel like the full 50 minutes of therapy. Overall this was an amazing experience and the customer service and staff were amazing and kind! I would return - next time I may book the customized massage so I could customize the time spent on more targeted areas.

They were not using disposable nail files, and there was visible nail dust everywhere from previous clients. It honestly made me very uncomfortable. After my manicure, I went to the reception desk to pay, and they tried to charge me $80. I asked how the price suddenly doubled, and the receptionist told me the nail tech had done a "strengthening treatment." The problem is that I never asked for it, and the technician never told me she was adding an extra service that would cost an additional $35. I explained that I was not going to pay $80 for a service that lasted exactly 37 minutes, especially when I had no idea whether any strengthening was actually done. I was working on my phone during the appointment and wasn't paying attention to every step. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, the receptionist was incredibly rude and showed zero empathy. Her exact words were: "If you don't pay $80, I will call the police," and "I trust my technician that she did the strengthening, and you are nobody, I've never seen you before." One of her "solutions" was to completely remove the nails with the strengthening and redo them with just gel polish. That is honestly the most ridiculous solution for a business - the technician had already spent materials, time, and I had already spent my time there as well. I ended up sitting on the couch and waiting because I wanted the service I originally came for. After an hour and a half of arguing, they finally let me leave after charging me $60. And as you can see, the manicure started chipping in less than a week. This service is absolutely not worth the money they are trying to charge their guests, and the way they handle customers is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
