I'm not one to write reviews but my experience here was unacceptable. I normally get dip powder nails but this place was highly recommended and they only do no chip. This was a special occasion, my bachelorette party, so I was really excited and wanted something nice. When I came I specifically asked the girl if she could take off dip nails. As my toes were getting done they soaked but did not come off. 44 minutes for my pedicure then I spent 1 hour and 15 minutes in a chair getting dip powder drilled and filed off to the point my nails hurt and were bleeding. I had to leave to get on the road and literally left with no paint just bleeding scratched up nails. I will never go here again. On top of that I still got charged. Worst service I have ever experienced. read more

The inside is super cute, make a note that they take cash or checks but no credit cards. I've had my nails done a few times and every time they look great! The last time I came in I had a Mani-Pedi and I'm in love with it. I enjoyed getting the no chip manicure and it is a fast service with nice results. I've had my nails both done by Natalie and Tori in the past. I've looked at other ladies nails as they go out and they all look amazing. I got many compliments on my nails. I am out of town at a convention and while in Florida I had so many people making comments about my nails. Services are ok. I feel they are a little pricey when you can go and get an upgraded pedicure for the same price as their basic pedicure. Also they advertise that they do dip when they do not. Onto one girl can do dip and she only has a few colors. You shouldn't advertise when only 1 person does it. I love that I can make a standing appointment and am not waiting all day. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, if you want a cheap manicure with super thick acrylics that look fake then The Polished Pinky is not the salon for you. The overall quality of the nails are pretty bad for what I paid. I got my nails done before my festival and the day after I got my nails done, the day before the festival, some of my nails chipped on the tips. They were put on not as close to the cuticle as I'd like. The glow in the dark polish didn't glow nearly as much as nails I've had done before. I normally go to Nays Nail Studio but she is not taking clients at the moment. She ALWAYS does my nails RIGHT! Perfect to the T! quality is in on another level with Nails by Nay and she doesn't overcharge either and for better quality. I paid $115 for these nails and they started to chip the DAY AFTER! And I had no time to even get them fixed due to going out of town for the festival. It's not worth the price for the quality given. At least the designs were good and pulls away from the other chipped nails still looking around for another place while my normal tech is on hiatus. I have been going to this salon since it became The Polished Pinky. This is to the lady whose mother was a salon owner, go to your mother. I have never seen that salon anything but spotless. Sure there is going to be glitter and nail dust around until the end of the day because that is what they do. Those ladies are constantly upgrading themselves and if your artist was new and being coached, believe me she is being coached by the best. I guess you were never new at a job. Being the daughter of a salon owner of 27 years, I want to hit myself for even giving this place a shot. From the beginning the girl doing my nails didn't know anything.. she was literally being coached step by step. I didn't come in and pay full price to be training model. They are okay when it comes to regular manicures (saw the woman next to me getting one) but don't waste a dime on no chip, dip, or acrylic. Forget about sanitation. It seems no one is trained or educated. I'd be shocked if anyone is actually licensed from an accredited school here. However, I would not be shocked at all if they learned on YouTube. I booked my first appointment yesterday and it was cancelled by the nail tech and rescheduled for today. I was on time. I was disappointed in the polish brand. Very little OPI. I sat and waited over 15 minutes and left. My time is too valuable to hurry up and then wait with no hey I'm sorry I'm running late I'll be with you in x amount of minutes. Amazing! Being the day of New Years Eve I thought I would have a hard time getting in. So I called ahead time for an appointment. I had no problem getting in. I'm from out of town, and I was nervous. But Katie made it a great experience. Not only does she know her stuff. She's super talented, patient and professional. I didn't know what I wanted right away but said to get creative and fun. I have been so pleased and excited to be a main client of Mayra's that I let her experiment and surprise me with her own designs and colors every time. Honestly, I wouldn't go back! They are way too expensive. I have NEVER paid $45 for a basic pedicure and that doesn't include tip. Not to mention, I felt as if she didn't even really know what she was doing. She did things that I have never experienced during a pedicure. Who paints nails with one hand and has other items in the other. I'm not happy at the way they turned out by any means. I shouldn't have gone just by the appointment call. When I asked where they were located... I was told to use maps! Like, what?! I walked in and the environment wasn't very warm and welcoming. I had a wonderful experience here a couple of weeks ago! I was in town for a wedding and had my nails done in LA. One of them broke at the airport and I went to 3 different places trying to get it matched (all of which were terrible experiences). I had black nails with a bright green, glitter ombré that none of the other places I visited were able to come close to matching. Went to polished pinky maybe like 30 minutes before they closed and a very nice woman with gorgeous long blonde hair took me right away and found a glitter that was really close to matching what I already had! She saved the day and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!! Their selection of glitters and polishes is much better than many places I visited in the area and the work the nail tech did on matching my other nails was amazing!!
