The Pond is a great place for a family country supper
    Michelle S.

The food was amazing country cooking just like grandma used to make! The fried catfish was hot and fresh and light and flaky! Paired with unlimited supply of hush puppies and the best white beans (just like my mom used to make!!)! Plus you choose two sides! The vegetable medley was a healthy choice and the fresh coleslaw was a hit! The other folks in our family birthday party had the fried cod fillets and fried shrimp and they loved their meals. The waitress was so kind and the service was quick! Our food was hot and fresh! I recommend you save room for dessert or get one to go as they are fabulous especially the chocolate meringue pie! Great experience and near Kenlake state park resort and LBL

Very, very good. I would say maybe a little pricey for a 3-piece dinner that we shared. I did get some extra hush puppies and a small order of beans, but it still was under $20. You have to try the relish! It's absolutely delicious!!!! We are going back tomorrow to buy a jar or two to take home. The catfish was flaky and cooked very well. The fries are good. The mayonnaise slaw hit the spot. (They also have vinegar based & you can choose). We loved the hush puppies, too. The wait for carryout was about 35 minutes. I was a little concerned that it may be cold since we waited so long and brought it back to our cabin. It was perfect.

So glad we we stopped on the way to a campground-there weren't many restaurants around. They feature catfish and they were great- thin light coating. My cheeseburger was good with a nice char. Service was great and the sweet tea hit the spot!

Southern home cooking tastes the same everywhere down here so it's no better than anywhere else, canned geriatric's food.

Servers do a great job. Food is served promptly. They do a really good job with blackened fish also.

We've been watching this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try today. We were so glad we…read moredid! Great atmosphere, great service, HUGE servings and awesome tastes! We had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and turnip geeens. The turnip greens were so good and my wife said the chicken was very good. I had the fried pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and okra. All of it was delicious! For dessert we had blueberry lemon cake and coconut cake. Pictures do not to them justice. They were so huge the lid barely closed on the to go box. It was like 1/4 of a cake. We left there stuffed with four to go boxes for two people! Highly recommend!

I've come here because my grandparents from Paris recommended this place as a good 18th birthday dinner spot, and even though they may be just a little crazy, I am so glad I listened to them. The food is outstanding. I tried their Cheesesteak with French Fries, and I didn't even take a picture of it, I was that excited, and it was nothing short of outstanding. You get a lot of it too. If I wasn't a big back I would've had the entire thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the same can be said for their dessert cakes. The staff were excellent as well, they were friendly, and certainly helped making our first visit a welcoming experience, and I earnestly hope they are satisfied with working here. If you are a foodie, a travelling foodie, or just someone who just likes going to establishments in towns you don't even know the name of, I tell you now that you NEED to go to this place. P.S. Forget all the other beverages you can have with your food, GRAB THE TEA. Sweet or unsweet, their tea tastes HEAVENLY.

For our entrée, we shared the pork shoulder, and it was absolutely delicious. The fennel aioli was such a great touch, and the combination of pork, peas, and greens made for the perfect Southern bite. We enjoyed it so much I wish we could go back tonight! We took a slice of lemon chess pie to go, and it was every bit as delicious as the rest of the meal. Kyle was our server and was fantastic--very knowledgeable and helpful with our selections. The restaurant was busy with a fun, lively atmosphere, but not so loud that we couldn't easily talk and enjoy our dinner. Definitely one of our favorite meals in Paducah!

We showed up right at opening, five o'clock, and there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. Make a reservation. I'm glad we did. We had a party of four and was seated at a low top that had a view of the kitchen. Lively open space with an open kitchen you can see both the cook line and the prep area. The cornbread was the unexpected standout of the entire meal. Mildly sweet, savory, light and fluffy all the way through. I was not expecting a side dish to steal the show, but it did. We also ordered the double stuffed burrata, and the bread it came with deserves its own mention. Crisp, lightly toasted, with just a touch of char. It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata and the accompaniments on the plate. For my entree I went with the grilled Caesar salad and added shrimp. It ended up being the perfect call. The portion was generous, the shrimp addition made it feel like a real meal. The romaine had this excellent crisp char on it that added so much. The dressing was heavenly. One of the best Caesar dressings I have had in a while. My favorite parts of the night had nothing to do with what was on my plate. We got to watch chef Sara Bradley working the kitchen with her team during service, and it was clear why this place has the reputation it does. I'd love to come back and try the prix fixe tasting menu next time. Overall this was a great experience from start to finish. And a must stop or destination when driving through KY.
