I had the 1/2 margarita flat bread and the Buffalo (grilled) chicken salad, with avocado and a side of green beans. The flat bread was off the charts delicious! It might very well be the best flatbread I've ever had! The chicken salad was not your typical, chunks of chicken, blue cheese on Romain, spinach, carrots and avocado topped with a hot sauce. Made a quick trip to Hillsboro and decided to stop in a the porch for dinner with my family. The restaurant is located in town - we went on a Thursday night and the restaurant was packed! We took it as a good sign. The restaurant is very large so we were seated right away. The service was very quick. We received all of our ordered food within 5-10 min of ordering! I was impressed. And the food! It was sooo good. We loved everything we tried! Everything came out hot and fresh. Very generous helpings too! None of us finished our plates but tried because the food was so good! We loved the corn ribs for an appetizer. Their Alfredo sauce was amazing too! I had the Hawaiian chicken and it was amazing! Although a bit of a drive from our house we kept seeing Instagram videos for this place and had to check it out. The general appearance and place itself looked really cool, it also had a playground there in the patio for kids. The food was simply amazing with an abundance of great choices. We didn't have one thing that's wasn't great. They also had plenty of great staff that made sure it was fast and friendly service throughout. Definitely one of those spots you can go for dinner and everyone get something they are in the mood for. Place was very busy for a Thursday night. They have a nice outdoor area with seating, a playground for the kids and corn hole. Even though busy we were seated right away. We were seated in the bar area. Food was good and served quickly. We both had the chicken wrap. It had a good amount of grilled chicken. I had fries which were a little undercooked but still edible. Everything we've had there has been wonderful. No way can I complain about the food. We sat at the bar tonight and our bartender was excellent. They were getting ready to have live music on the patio this evening at 6:30. We didn't stay, but we have been there for the music before and someone great is always playing. It's a sports bar atmosphere with a lot of TV screens & football fans cheering on their teams. I ordered the 1/2 flatbread meal which comes with a generous side salad. I am visiting from out of state and have been 2x in 2 days. The first day I had the pork chops, wedge salad, and some onion pedals that were all very good. The pork chop was well seasoned and juicy. Yesterday I went back to have the chicken pot pie and a wedge salad. The place is nice with a playground for kids, cornhole, and fire pits in a big open back patio area. The employees were very nice, sorry I forgot their names but it was ones 2nd day and she had it all down and was very attentive. I guess third time was the charm. They have made quite the improvement since my previous visit a year ago. Staff was pleasant, attentive, and responsive. I had the Hawaiian burger with a side salad. The burger was amazing. Great blend of flavors. The dessert is what made the 5 stars. They had a strawberry rhubarb cobbler in a little cast iron skillet that was piping hot with a couple scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. They attract the best people and yes sometimes it's crowded because it's a hot spot, but it's worth the wait if you must. We love this place! Most of the servers here are good; we've had a couple who're great. The hostesses are usually very nice & helpful. The FOOD! Weve been eating here since they opened- I've tried many of their daily specials, as well as regular menu items. only 2 meals did I not like, and one was a special that they ran out of some ingredients & had to substitute. My husband loves their fish sandwich & their fried bologna sandwich. we both love their potpie made from scratch! andvthe crinkle fries are crisp outside and tender inside. They have pretzels & beer cheese we love too. their burgers are great, and I enjoy some of the daily special burgers too. I often order a cup of beer cheese to dip my fries in. this most recent visit, a daily special was new- fried okra! we loved it served with a chipotle ranch dip! i also got their seasonal summer salad with berries & chicken. It's a large salad with the right balance of ingredients and was delicious with their raspberry vinaigrette. we don't usually get dessert, but I've had a couple of thing's that were very good. the main downfall is the wait on weekends evenings. but there are porches with rocking chairs to wait on. read more

Went for dinner with older parents on weeknight around 6. The back parking lot was packed, they have an outside area, with kid friendly area as well as corn hole sets. -Love this place. We visit at least once a week. When my son visits from out of state, this is the only restaurant that he looks forward to. They offer a wide variety of items on the menu. We have never had any issues with any of the workers. The servers are all very efficient and polite. The hosts/hostesses do the best they can to seat people as soon as possible. They are young and this may be their first job, it is not their fault when they have to tell someone there is a wait. And sometimes there is a wait, this may be due to how busy they are or if they are short-staffed . If you plan to visit on a holiday, I highly recommend calling and making a reservation. Especially if you have a large group or are traveling from elsewhere. If you don't make a reservation, you will most likely have a wait time that may be 30+ minutes. -Their menu offers a wide variety to choose from. Salads, Sandwiches, Steak, Pork Chops, and a lot more. They carry two soups on a daily basis and one soup as a special. I do wish they had chili as one of the every day soups, at least for the fall and winter seasons. The only dessert I've had is the cookie skillet. It is so good. It is served in a small iron skillet that it was baked in. It is hot when it comes out. So don't take a big bite when it first comes out. -Overall, definitely 5 stars from me. We visited the porch for the first time last week. It was wonderful! First food-Delicious! For appetizers we had the Saratoga chips with beer cheese and the pretzels. Both good but the pretzels were my favorite- buttery, salty and melt in your mouth good. The beer cheese accompaniment with both was perfect. I got the boneless wings for my meal and was blown away. They are not joking when they say they are huge. Large hunks of all white meat chicken, lightly breaded and fried to perfection. I liked that they weren't half breading like a lot of other places. The flavor was perfect. I tried the stinging honey garlic and medium Buffalo sauces. Buffalo is usually my jam (and it was very good) but the stinging honey garlic sauce was amazing! My husband got the BBQ bacon burger and we thoroughly enjoyed it as well. For dessert we got the chocolate chip skillet cookie - initially to share but, to be honest, I didn't really want to once I tried it. Warm, gooey, a bit of crunch - everything you want in a comforting and delicious skillet cookie with creamy ice cream on top. I reluctantly let my husband have a few bites and devoured the rest. Service here was on point. Quick, friendly and welcoming. The staff seems to enjoy working there and you can tell. I thought the prices here were extremely reasonable- actually lower than I expected. Especially the mixed drinks. Much lower than you would pay if you travel out of town for dinner and without the hassle of traveling farther and the cost of gas to get there. The transformation this building underwent is outstanding. They have created a really cool, welcoming atmosphere that you want to hang out in. I like that there is a large open bar area and cozier tables tucked away as well. The outdoor area is massive and will be a great hang out spot when the warmer months are back. There is a beautiful fire pit, lots of comfy looking patio chairs, and yard games. I can't wait to come back, hang out, grab a beer and visit with friends back there. I'm not from Hillsboro (my husband is) - but we are in town frequently to visit. One of my favorite things about this town is the amazing sense of community and caring everyone displays. The Porch is a perfect reflection of this. It feels like a community gathering place. Somewhere you can grab a great dinner, run into old friends and relax.
