LOVE this store!! Whenever I'm in HMB, it's always my first and favorite place to visit. I have to appreciate being treated like a friend and a queen (perfect, of course!), but also the selection of items and styles. Sometimes it's hard to pass up on the jewelry (I bought the most amazing necklace last time, you'd be jealous!), and I love the Etsy's Heart clothing line as it's just one of the high quality competitively priced lines they offer. What can I say! I found Parisian heaven in this cozy boutique! What a pity that my phone died so I could not take pictures of every single thing I loved there. Almost every piece of jewelry, of clothes, shoes, kitchen decor, notebooks...I am obsessed collected of all things with Eiffel Towers on them. This fun obsession of mine started when I commented on Facebook how much I liked the shape of the Eiffel Tower and how iconic this tower was for Americans as it appears in so many souvenirs or objects, the most inimaginable possible. Then, suddenly, everybody started gifting me the coolest trinkets and my collection of Eiffel tower necklaces, earrings, shirts, tops, etc etc started to grow. So...needless to say every time I see a store like The Posh Moon all French inspired I have the need to enter and get something. In this case, since I was accompanied by the boyfriend and probably he got tired of all my omg so cute, look at this, check this out, i love it love it...he got me a very French beret (fuchsia bien sur:), a foulard with the Eiffel tower printed and a picnic tablecloth with another Eiffel tower and positive message written in French. All super adorable like this pale blue painted store run by 2 no less adorable ladies (one gave me a lucky coin, if I don't win the lotto, I will still go back for a mini dose of Edit Piaff and charming things. read more

This a smaller parisian themed clothing and gift shop right off main street in downtown half moon bay. Parking is street only, but in this part of half moon bay that just means if you can't find a spot right in front then you'll be down a block or so, or close by on a side street. This is a medium to small sized shop and while the front is mostly devoted to clothing-dresses, skirts and blouses-there are some home decor type things on the walls and a small but nice collection of hats and parisian whimsy items in the back. While some of the clothing is for the more conservative person, there are some interesting finds tucked away here and there to reward browsing. French soap of course as well. Well worth a casual browse and don't forget to check the sales rack in back by the dressing rooms. read more

We were in a staycation in the Bay Area and spent some time in Half Moon Bay. We usually only go hiking in the area, get take out, but rarely have time to meander through "town" and window shop. I'm so glad we had some time and stumbled upon The Posh Moon. The store is inviting, warm & eclectic. The organized chaos is comforting to me. Monica (the owner) is lovely and has amazing things in her shop. I do not like shopping and was so relieved to find some beautiful and fun clothes here. I can't wait to go back. We got to Half Moon Bay a little before 6 after running through a corn maze that took us 45 minutes to get through. To my surprise even though it was a weekend in October - Half Moon Bay's prime tourist season - almost all the shops were closed. When we walked by Posh Moon a little after 6 I wasn't sure if they were open so I tried to open the door, but it was locked. We continued down the street and the proprietor ran out and invited us inside. She was cleaning the store and they were closed but we were still welcome. Posh Moon is a cute little boutique, mostly focusing on clothes. What interested me the most was the jewelry. They carried a line called Clara Beau I've only previously seen in Boulder. (In fact I liked a Clara Beau necklace and earring set so much in Boulder that my husband got it for me last Christmas.) Clara Beau is very classic and elegant and antiquey and pretty - like 1928 but with MUCH better designs and stones. They had several reasonably priced pieces, including a pair of opal earrings I considered. Posh Moon is definitely worth a visit if you're driving the Pumpkin Coast. read more

I was drawn in by the absolute prettiness of this space. The clothing is Europeanesque in its simplicity and their jewelry selection is French inspired. That being said the prices are pretty outrageous at $110 for a simple cotton dress and I'm not big into the nouveaufrench wave that's hitting now, so the jewelry - while pretty, wasn't something I'd wear, I felt like the space was trying to be a gorgeous gathering of french inspiration, but with the price - possibly because it's HMB - it wasn't something I'd become loyal and come back to. Even Chanel was a do-it-yourselfer, and I tend to err on the side of spending less on clothing or accessories unless it's a statement piece. I will say I felt miles more welcomed and comfortable in Posh than Rouge nearby and I'd probably come back with the hope I'd find something more in my range because the woman at the counter was very friendly and I enjoyed the space and it's ambiance. read more

Ooh, la, la! Such a cute Parisian boutique in the quaint town of Half Moon Bay. If you are drawn to feminine, pretty, shabby chic, The Posh Moon will suck you in! Beautiful, fluid clothes with ruffles and rouching; jewelry with bling, and french soaps and lotions that smell fabulous. Lots of other fun things, too. Prices are across the board...the clothing I saw on the sale racks was extremely reasonably priced, especially when you are buying something that you can't buy at any department store (ex: floral tunic top for $30). The styles are so unique and meant to be flattering. Think easy, breezy, chic, beautiful! While I could have spent a ton of money there, I only had time to grab a fun print on parchment paper of the Paris monuments (I will attach a photo) for $5! I am either going to frame or laminate it and put on my living room coffee table. BTW, same one is on eBay for $99! Despite my sad little purchase, I was treated as if I spent hundreds of dollars. Very eclectic little boutique nestled among other small shops of similar nature. The Posh Noon is featuring a unique selection of gifts and accessories that are fun to browse through. I'm sure one might find an unexpected item or two, either for themselves or as a present. We walked in holding our baby-doggie in the arms, and were welcomed by friendly ladies behind the counter right away. They said he's most welcome to walk and explore. It is nice to be put at ease (quite the opposite feeling from when we're asked to pick up the dog on rare occasions, not cool, he's very mellow and clean). For that welcoming gesture alone I'm happy to give five stars. We enjoyed a little chat, the inside ambience, and very pleasing atmosphere here. read more

You know how sometimes in little boutiques like this you find something so gorgeous you MUST have it but then you get home and realize it's too over-the-top to be practical and it ends up languishing in your closet forever? Not so here -- everything is the same level of beautiful but usable in an everyday sense and appropriate for a picnic or date or sitting around at the cafe or going grocery shopping. You're just going to look a lot prettier in it ;] This is the sweetest little Parisian-style wonderland around -- The Posh Moon is loaded with a romantic, lovely collection of clothing, accessories and some household goodies priced in the low to affordable range. There seems to be a really good range of local artists' and designers' work available. The proprietresses are wonderful, interested and helpful without being overbearing. Yesterday my daughter and went into The Posh Moon. This is another great little store I visit while in Half Moon Bay. The ladies in there are fabulous! We were greeted warmly, offered help, and given information. We wandered around the store as much as we wanted without being followed. They let me open displays to take out things I wanted, and showed me things related to things I was looking at. My daughter was given a beautiful cookie, iced with a Fleur-de-lis, with a whispered, "Merry Christmas!". My daughter's face lit up with this act of kindness.They were very busy, a testament to the excellent service they provide. I left with the perfect little gifts for my boss, and one for my cousin, too. I love this store. They are always charming and helpful. I wish I had more people on my Christmas list! read more

After toodling around Half Moon Bay's Main Street for several hours, I was delighted to walk into The Posh Moon. Yes, very appropriate for French-inspired items, but that's not the whole store. I found beautiful, affordable sparkly jewelry, fabric fingerless gloves, and even a multi-colored knit scarf for $35. Had to have. The woman working was friendly, fun, personable, and walked around the store talking to people and helping them out - not something you find at every boutique. read more

What a delightful little boutique! The owner was engaging and friendly to us during our visit and I loved the French theme present throughout the shop. It's a bit small, but that's really a cozy thing. If there's one thing I'd suggest to improve the experience it would be more size selection on their clothing. It was a little hit or miss for me! Ok, look, I'll admit it: I'm a guy who just loves cosmetic sundries. Hung out with a friend in Half Moon Bay and, on a whim, we walked in to Posh Moon. You might think this name suggests some kind of faux designer boutique, but its actually all about France: Paris. Its an attractive shop, a little on the pricey side, but very much on the love side. Carol was incredibly classy in sharing her knowledge of the products she had, and she intuited that I was interested in exploring the soaps she offered. Lemongrass, Pumpkin Papaya, Strawberry and Cream, Lavendar; and these weren't Dove knockoffs, these smelled incredibly fresh and provocative. Got my girlfriend some soap and my friend with me (a lady, I should point out) got several soaps, some jars and some outSTANDING French mints that come in such delightfully bizarre flavors as Violet, Orange Blossom, Rose (which my friend bought) and Anise. I got to try the first two, which, when I asked if she had samples, Carol just proceeded to tear open some cases. We both didn't expect to spend any money, but on the drive home, and before we even got to use and/or share these gifts, we were still talking about how happy we were with our experience. You will notice Carol's personalized service, her extraordinary attention to detail, and affection for her customers. She'll ring you up, wrap your gifts up for you and walk them to the other side of the counter to personally hand them to you post-purchase. If you happen to know what you're looking for, she'll turn the store upside down to give you something she thinks you'll like. She's really a sweet soul and that was 80% of why we liked the place so much. You can't replace that power of the special human touch in the course of a business operation. I'd highly recommend going here if you're in the mood to gift shop, or even to chat with an enthusiastic businesswoman. read more

I first came to Posh Moon on a weekend trip my fiance and I took to Half Moon Bay almost three years ago. Once I entered the store, I was surprised by the amazing hat selection they have. After trying on a few of the hats, I could not bear to leave the store without buying one. In fact, I bought two. If you find the perfect hat, it can glam up the simplest of outfits. I have received many compliments for my hats that I bought from Posh Moon and have since gone back to buy yet another hat. I look forward to my annual trip to Half Moon Bay and buying a hat from Posh Moon is now my annual tradition. read more

Stopped into this delightful boutique today during a late in the day "Let's go to Half Moon Bay"! We didn't get there until around 4pm so not much shopping time. So glad we made it into The Posh Moon before they closed. The store is a treasure and the owner was so charming and helpful. There is so much packed into the space and the decor is very romantic and creative. We all purchased something but I got the buy of the day. In a small sale section in the back of the store I found the most gorgeous silk evening dress by "Nataya". it is so unique and the most beautiful shade of blue. It was reduced by 50%. I tried it on and fell in love with it but the top was a little large and would require some alterations. The owner gave me an additional 10% off to help cover the cost of the alterations and I walked out thrilled to death with my purchase. Definitely recommend if you are looking for something you won't find anywhere else and a really enjoyable shopping experience. read more

We're visiting half-moon bay for the weekend, walking around to all the shops, went into posh moon and I loved the shop, and was greeted by the owner, which all the other shops no one acknowledge us, so I liked that, found exactly what I had been looking for, so I was happy about that, checked out and started talking with the owner, she was so sweet, after we paid we talked about 20 minutes after, she really made us out of towners feel welcomed! This is not only one of my very favorite stores on the Coast- its my favorite on the Peninsula. All of the items are so beautiful and unique. The owner is a dream, so helpful and engaing. I was there last weekend and the store was closed and she welcomed me in so I could get "my Parisian fix". The clothes are so special- no one has anything like them around.
