3/27/26 The Post Pizza El Monte, CA...Here for a fundraiser for a dear friend Manuel R. Cruz Scholarship Fundraiser. Portion of proceeds goes towards it in Manuel's name. I got zucchini sticks, Cesar salad, and 6 BBQ wings as appetizers and a Dr Pepper to drink. I also got an Italian Sub and half order of Raviolis. Love this childhood place of mine! Hope many came to support the Fundraiser and The Post Restaurant!!! Definitely will come back againwhen in the area! Ricky and John were nice employees. Place was clean inside. Will try the pizza on next visit as it's been a while since I've had it here! Love that sports can be watched here!

Despite this being my first review about the Post Pizza, I've been coming here all my life. This is THE pizza spot. Once you've had The Post, you'll go through your whole life asking yourself this question whenever you're eating pizza, "... it's a good pizza... but is it better than the Post?" So far, I haven't found one pizza place that I can say dethrones The Post. And what makes it taste better? Knowing you're supporting a small business! It's nice to know you're putting your money back into the hands of the community instead of the pocketbooks of big corp pizza whenever you're eating at The Post!

This place caught my attention because they're open on Christmas Day, who doesn't love a little pizza on Christmas! I've never been here, and I pretty sure I'll be back soon to check it out it looks like a cool little dive bar. They have several tables and chairs available, they have a big menu. We ordered to go, a salad, a small meat lovers, and a regular pizza pepperoni for the kids. Everything tasted fine, I like the pizza, I wish I would've ordered wings so maybe next time I'll come I'll do that. There is a big parking lot in the back parking, and a side door to the entrance. When you walk in you can pick up your food or place your order to the left. But they were friendly, they even went out of their way to help open the door for me so I wouldn't have any trouble that was nice of them. Looking forward to dining in next time.

Always a favorite! The pizza is consistently delicious and the staff is super friendly. Love the tall table seating, front patio, and plenty of TVs--great spot for families and sports teams (we saw a whole softball team enjoying pizza together!). Plenty of parking in the back is a bonus. We'll definitely be back! Thank you !

Wing that was cut in 1/3 and the drum wasn't complete either. They still counted it as 2 pieces.

The food was great, but the service is terrible. If everything went perfectly, this is a 4.5/5 review. I called in and placed an order of 2 XL pizza's 10 pieces of wings and 20 pieces of another type of wing. I get there and they forgot my 20 piece wings. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes. I get home and we open the box and they gave us 2 wing pieces that were cut in half. They still counted each halves as a whole piece. The issue is, their wings are $2 a PIECE after taxes! That's 2 mistakes on a single order. Their phone system is also down and their website doesn't accept online orders. FYI, your address is wrong on your OWN website. The pizza's were great though. Pastrami Pizza - light on the pastrami but it makes it up on flavor. Baby Bro's their competitor loads it up with pastrami but this one taste better. You better like pickles though because there's a lot of them. The crust isn't bready and has a nice bite. Supreme Pizza thin crust - light, full of toppings, and tasted good.

Was in the area for a training, so our team went over for lunch today. The staff working were friendly and we're able to handle our large party well. Most of us got the special which was a small 2-topping pizza, 6 boneless wings, and a drink. The small pizza was a good size. (I think it was 6 slices). I tried a slice of someone else's and it was tasty! I ordered some traditional wings, lemon pepper and buffalo, along with a Caesar salad. Everything was good! Both flavors were yummy and i would definitely get them again. Salad was a standard caesar, so can't go wrong there. They had a pretty big menu and a bar, so definitely wouldn't mind going back after work to try some more!

I'm happy to say for the first time since forever I tried the pizza again. The customer service and the pizza was a 10 good job Post keep it up

Hi, I don't believe it is yet opened; however, I did notice some 'construction' going on inside a few weeks ago... I do not know if they are remodeling and preparing to re-open. But it would be nice if they did, the holidays is always a great time…

    Are they open yet?

No. As of 6/24/17. Called the number on yelp. It has been switched to other number. Called and told that they are shooting for August. Still working with there insurance company

Fast forward a few years and I come back to this location with my family and a few friends. We got pretty quick service when it came to ordering. The drinks came out fast, then the food. Everything looked pretty good at first. My kids ordered the corn dogs and kids pizza. Pretty standard kid options to be honest, but what was inside was anything from standard or ok. The corn dogs came out first and they were piping hot. So my wife and I cut the top off to allow it to cool down a bit before feeding it to our 2 year old... what we saw shocked us... I don't know if you can tell from the photos but it looked so disgusting in person. It looked raw, and freezer burnt all at the same time. I showed it to the staff and asked if they thought this was acceptable, immediately said no and offered to bring us a new plate. In the meantime, my 7year old was letting their pizza cool down and when it finally did and he pulled it apart, the dough was still raw, by raw I mean it was a "frozen pizza that was put into a microwave" (their words, not mine) and when I brought it to their attention they apologized and offered a new plate as well. The waiter comes back and uttered those words up top. "Do you want to choose something else? It's going to come out the same since it just frozen and put into a microwave" so my son decides on the next best thing for him. A simple bean and cheese burrito.... But what we got was anything but the best.... It was luke warm beans with unmelted cheese that they rolled up and put on the stove top to burn up the outsides to make it look pretty. To top off the experience, the waiter was very attentive, granted. But please, for the love of health when you refill mine or my child's drink please DO NOT take out our straws with your bare hands and put them into our new drinks... that's just gross!!!!

I remember being entranced by the red boat exterior whenever we passed by. Sometime after 2007, the Galley moved around the corner on Rosemead Blvd just south of snow-topped sister Clearman's North Woods Inn. A driveway to the parking lot and a small, very cute fire station separate the two. The signature boat is still out front, but is decorative only; the Galley is now a huge space behind it and is pretty much a family-friendly sports bar. There are massive TV screens, plus some smaller ones, and much sports photos and memorabilia throughout. And there are a number of classic model boats, including the Titanic! The tchotchkes are of course mostly LA-centric and professional; I didn't see any collegiate items, although they surely show big college games in season. I remember The Galley service being cafeteria-style, and the two "tracks" you'd move your tray along are still present, but now only accessible to staff. Diners place their order with a person or at a kiosk, and you are given a number to place on your table, fast-casual style. There is a full bar with bartender and barstools. There are also cocktail menus on all the tables, but I don't know if you order these at the bar or if someone comes around to take you order. The food menu is classic and broad, with apps, salads, burgers, sandwiches, chicken and seafood options. We came for DineLA lunch, just as we did at North Woods Inn a few days ago. There were 3 options for lunch and 2 for dinner, all serving 2 people, plus 3 Family options that serve 4. We chose the Galley Combo for lunch and ordered it to go. It included 2 sandwiches (4 choices--grilled or crispy chicken, beef dip, Philly cheese steak), fries to share and 2 sodas. We also tried their beer-battered zucchini sticks and onion rings. We both got the beef dip sammy with everything (cheese, peppers). It was nice, as was the dipping jus. The wedge fries portion was pretty large, easily shareable. The sodas are refillable if you dine on-site. The zucchini sticks were identical to those at North Woods, but a smaller portion, lesser price and no dipping sauce. The onion rings were okay, not very crispy but the batter was light. Niggle: we were charged $.50 each for the ranch and blue cheese dipping sauces! Overall a nice meal. I'd dine on-site next time for the free soda refills, ketchup, mustard and malt vinegar. There are many items I'd like to try.

However, my experience here raised serious concerns due to what felt like misleading and inconsistent business practices. We found this venue on Yelp for a birthday party, and initially everything sounded great--almost too good to be true. Thankfully, I kept text messages documenting what was discussed, and we had others who could confirm those conversations. After placing a deposit, the experience quickly raised red flags. There was no formal service agreement when I requested one to confirm terms, and pricing began to shift leading up to the event--hourly rates, equipment rentals, and additional charges were inconsistent from what was originally communicated. With the event only a few days away, we felt we had no choice but to move forward despite these concerns. During the event, there were also uncomfortable interactions between the owner and my guests, including issues around cleanup and unexpected implications of added fees that had never been discussed. Final charges (outside of the bar tab) were informally presented, which further reflected a lack of professionalism and organization. After the event, upon reviewing everything more carefully, I realized I had been overcharged compared to what was originally agreed upon, which was extremely frustrating and reinforced my concerns around transparency. Most concerning, photos from our private event--including images of children--were later posted publicly for promotional use without our knowledge or consent. When addressed, the response we received was dismissive and did not acknowledge our concerns. I took time before writing this to ensure I was being fair and objective. Unfortunately, the pattern of misleading communication, lack of clear agreements, and post-event overcharging made this a very negative experience. If you do consider this venue, I strongly recommend getting a detailed written agreement covering all terms, pricing, and policies in advance. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this location.
