I don't know about y'all but I used to frequent pescador a lot back in the day (before kids) and I would care less about the food since I would go mainly for the drinks and ambiance at the bar section. Fast forward a few years and I come back to this location with my family and a few friends. We got pretty quick service when it came to ordering. The drinks came out fast, then the food. Everything looked pretty good at first. My kids ordered the corn dogs and kids pizza. Pretty standard kid options to be honest, but what was inside was anything from standard or ok. The corn dogs came out first and they were piping hot. So my wife and I cut the top off to allow it to cool down a bit before feeding it to our 2 year old... what we saw shocked us... I don't know if you can tell from the photos but it looked so disgusting in person. It looked raw, and freezer burnt all at the same time. I showed it to the staff and asked if they thought this was acceptable, immediately said no and offered to bring us a new plate. In the meantime, my 7year old was letting their pizza cool down and when it finally did and he pulled it apart, the dough was still raw, by raw I mean it was a "frozen pizza that was put into a microwave" (their words, not mine) and when I brought it to their attention they apologized and offered a new plate as well. The waiter comes back and uttered those words up top. "Do you want to choose something else? It's going to come out the same since it just frozen and put into a microwave" so my son decides on the next best thing for him. A simple bean and cheese burrito.... But what we got was anything but the best.... It was luke warm beans with unmelted cheese that they rolled up and put on the stove top to burn up the outsides to make it look pretty. To top off the experience, the waiter was very attentive, granted. But please, for the love of health when you refill mine or my child's drink please DO NOT take out our straws with your bare hands and put them into our new drinks... that's just gross!!!! read more

We had a really disappointing experience here. When we arrived, the waitress told us there would be about a 30-minute wait and asked us to stand in line. We were a party of five and were happy to wait, but we noticed multiple groups coming and going while we were never seated. Throughout the time we waited, the waitress kept repeating that we were "on the line" and needed to keep waiting, but it didn't seem like any real effort was being made to seat us. After a while it started to feel very dismissive and passive-aggressive. We eventually left without ever being seated. An hour had passed. It was frustrating because we were patient and respectful, but the situation didn't feel fair or well managed. Hopefully the restaurant can improve how they handle waitlists and communication with customers. read more

The server came to take our drink order and although the place wasn't full it took awhile for her to bring the drinks. The chips and salsa were freshly made, crispy and delish. The Long Island tasted like a margarita, not my fav. The molcajete was filled with 2 bacon wrapped shrimp, 2 pan fried shrimp, thinly cut steak and chicken, nopales, and cheese- the sauce was tasty and not at all spicy. It was served with flaky rice and thin, cheesy beans. Overall the food was satisfying and something I will defiantly get again. The server gave us the check without asking if we wanted dessert, I asked for dessert so she took the check and added the dessert. This was my family's first time eating at this establishment. We normally visit the W. Covina location. I decided on the Aguachiles because I love shrimp and I wanted to try something new. As I entered this restaurant I absolutely loved the 2024 New Years decorations. I also loved that they had so many televisions everywhere, and some of them had the Star Wars movie on them. This place is not that big but it looks like it can hold a lot of people. Everything looked clean and well decorated. The service we received was great! Our waitress had a huge party of us to deal with and she handled everything perfectly. She made sure everyone was taken care of at all times. I just wish I had gotten her name because she was amazing. Now to the food. I seriously thought the food was way over priced for what you got. My shrimp cocktail was $19 which is way more than I pay at better restaurants. There also wasn't that many shrimp in my cocktail. Although it was good tasting, it wasn't worth the price for me. My husband ordered a beef taco plate. We noticed that the beef taco had hardly any beef. It had a teaspoon worth of beef inside the taco but it was mixed with a ton of onions to make it appear full of beef. My husband hates onions so this didn't got well for him. The beans on everyone's plate seemed like canned beans. I saw a bunch of dishes that we ordered and none of them seemed worth the prices. Everyone agreed. A friend and I started coming here to try the happy hour specials in the bar. Our first visit was in April. The food is tasty and Edwin and Alex in the bar area are great and very attentive servers. But I also noticed that every time we were there, the door to the women's restroom would never close completely or not at all. It appeared they had tried to fix it, but the problem persisted. On May 8th we decided to stop by for happy hour and once again service and food were great! But the women's restroom door couldn't be pushed closed at all this time. So I asked to speak to a manager. Guillermo Bonilla came out immediately. I informed him how great the food and service were in my experience, but also asked why they couldn't fix the door. He explained they had attempted several times but that the problem would come back. I shared my discomfort and he quickly reassured me he'd take care of it. Well, immediately within 10 minutes, workers were there to fix the problem. Thank you Guillermo. I appreciate when management actively listens to their customers and takes action. I love to spend my hard earned money where I feel customers are appreciated and that we matter. This place has become one of my favorite spots! read more

Really bad experience here. The owner had a private graduation party. And the music was extremely loud, absolutely no consideration for their customers. Service took extremely long everyone at the table got prepared meals. I got a shrimp cocktail and my food didn't even get here. I had to keep asking for it. Wow what a little gem. I wasn't expecting much when I went in but things quickly changed. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. It's really cool how they have the restaurant and bar separated completely. The restaurant seating areas looked nice. And you could actually have some what a romantic dinner. I however opted for the bar area. HUGE MENU's! SO MANY OPTIONS! Where do I start? Well I wanted to keep it simple and hope for the best. I got the chicken quesadilla. Chicken was fresh, well seasoned. They don't skimp on the cheese or chicken at all. Display was nice. Staff was also attentive. Seating was clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 is I need to try more things on the menu first before more is decided. However I will definitely be back here. I asked for a table for two. They sat us in the bar area. It had nice ambiance, and decoration. I would say it was a little too loud for me personally. But everyone seemed to be having fun. Our server came to us almost right away and brought back our drinks pretty quickly. They also start you off with chips and salsa which is nice! Then we made a complaint and he shouted through the microphone that he has his own system and we have to wait. He is literally playing favoritism his friends can sing 3-5 songs back to back but us he is like wait your turn I got my own system on how I work this karaoke. And then in Spanish he comes to our table after we complain he is like wey cual canción vas a cantar wey. Thats really rude. And then Edwin our server when we are paying he says where's the tip. When we were going to leave it in cash. Why force customer to leave tip in card when you don't know they are leaving tip in card. This restaurant needs to train staff better read more

We usually go to karaoke on Friday's/Saturdays. You need to get there early, because the bar is small and it gets packed really early. For the past 6 months or so we noticed there is always tables reserved, so today I called and asked to reserve and apparently they don't take reservations. I said, not true I see a reservation plate there, oh it's for the owners friend! Oh come on, every week. Now I can see if it's for special celebrations but thats just ridiculous!!!
