So... I'm a first time waxer and I woke up this morning with a wild hair (pun intended)! A wild hair to remove my hair down there, that is. I wanted to do something for myself to feel good in a bikini. I know you all feel me there, right? I consider myself to be brave but I gotta say that I was pretty nervous. What helped is reading another Yelp review. It also helped to know that the process was only 15 minutes long. It was tricky to find the place so I called (they're in the process of getting a new sign). But Sarah walked me straight to her front door where she kindly waited for me. She had a particularly welcoming way about her that instantly made me feel at ease and comfortable. The process was as painful as you might expect. I mean, come on folks.... we're talking sacred lady parts hair here. But it was quick. And Sarah championed me through it. Before I knew it, I was gathering my things and heading out the door. My whole experience at the pretty peach was phenomenal. Sarah is amazing and genuinely sweet. First timers should know she tends to all your needs and questions you may have to make your experience better. She is extremely informative and thorough while she waxes you and makes you feel comfortable through the whole process. If you've been waxed before you'll have no problem or no complaints whatsoever. The wax she uses did not irritate my skin at all, I have sensitive skin, but this was not the case. If you live in the area or simply are passing by and need a wax I would suggest you stop by here. It's a cute little spa place, easy to find with its own parking lot. Itself the pretty peach has its own private room, super clean. My first Brazilian was the worst experience I ever had, super painful and with the most uncaring & unfriendly person ever. She also took 40 minutes, not cool. And I vowed to never get one again. Then I decided to take a risk and try out The Pretty Peach. I'm so thankful I did. Sarah really is the BEST at what she does. She is knowledgeable, kind and as gentle as she can be. Hahaaa :) For a newbie, she explains what she is about to do and you feel safe. Takes about 20 minutes! And for this perfectionist, I know I'll walk out having gotten my money worth, nice and smooth. I have been going to Sarah ONLY for about 6 months (honestly might be more, i honestly don't know) now. She is one of my favorite appointments to book. It doesn't matter how much pain she puts me through because she is so kind and thoughtful through her processes. She is also handling COVID like a boss! When you arrive, she has her front lobby shut down as to keep herself and her clients safe and i'm living for it. She also takes your temperature and santizes you and herself before you even step foot in the building. Masks being worn at all times makes me feel safe and comfortable when it comes to making a self-care appointment. Hands down the best waxer in town. You shouldn't go anywhere else. read more

There is just so much to say! First off, Sarah you are AMAZING!!! I was so uncomfortable walking into the pretty peach. I had no idea what to expect. She made me feel so comfortable! I have never been waxed professionally but it was by far the best "salon" experience I have ever had. Sarah is fantastic at her craft! She creates such a safe and professional environment, that eases any tension and brings a sense of calm. The Brazilian is quick, exquisitely perfect, and basically pain free! I don't live in the same city as her anymore, but any time I return I make sure an appointment with her is on my agenda! I've tried waxers in my city and been disappointed in the clunky technique, the amount of hair that has been left (Sarah leaves nothing and it's smooth!), and the pain for not great results. I'm ashamed to be posting this review so late, because I visited Sarah about two weeks ago. I'm in the Redding area every month - and she is now my GO - TO waxer when I'm there! The quality of the wax, the longlasting results, the minimal pain...she is just AWESOME! I truly appreciate not having to wait in a lobby at my appointment time. I recently moved to this area from out-of-state so finding someone with the skill set and feeling comfortable enough with them for this type of wax (Brazilian, underarm, lower legs) was very important. Had my first Brazilian with Sarah. She was super inviting and made me feel really comfortable. I was pretty nervous but she walked me through the steps and it was pretty seamless. I loved how quick she was. She is checking temperatures and taking precautions for COVID. I have had waxes in other areas (legs and underarms) with other people and this was the least painful wax I've had. I like the hard wax versus waxing strips.
