Admittedly, I have passed by The Primrose Shop dozens of times through the years and never stopped in until this holiday season. I was stumped on what to get a particular family member for Christmas this year, so I decided to pop in and see what they had. It's a very cute shop that screams "sorority" and monogrammed memorabilia (not really my vibe), but I did find an adorable coaster set and embroidered tea towel that was very fitting for the person I was shopping for, so I'd call that a win! Definitely a pricey shop with more novelty items, but you can tell they have their niche clientele. I will have to keep this shop in mind for any future gifting needs. read more

Boutique shop off of Corrine, and close to a number of other shops, markets and restaurants. They have a decent amount of offerings considering the smaller to medium sized shop. The mostly offer 'higher end' items and accessories the can range from novelty to decorative. The staff is quick to greet you and offer help. I did note, like others that have reviewed them, that staff can hover but I didn't feel overly rushed. I loved their football items for this year's season. I grabbed a candle for my sister's birthday that was on the theme of her college team. Overall: A Good aesthetic and solid offerings. Be prepped to speak with staff and have them nearby, but not a overwhelmingly bad thing. read more

The other bad reviews on this place are accurate. Treated like garbage and the lady working there had eyes on us from the moment we walked in before announcing that they were closing in ten minutes to get us to leave. We had no problem leaving, but for the record, we were probably going to buy something had we not been basically kicked out and treated so poorly. I would recommend going to any of the neighboring stores that all have really friendly and welcoming staff for an infinitely better experience. read more

This isn't Beverly Hills, California, it's Orlando, Florida. So when I walk into your shop in activewear without make up on, (during a rare moment of retail therapy), I would appreciate it if I wasn't treated like a criminal and followed by the cashiers. There needs to be a more covert way of screening for shoplifting because I feel very judged and repelled away from shopping at the store in the future. I've never felt this way shopping at Primrose in the past, so something must've changed in the recent year or two since I've been. I won't be going back because when a store makes you feel that way, it just gives you major ick. I'm not one to give reviews for less than 4 to 5 stars, but I feel that this one is important because it needs to draw their attention. This review was 2 stars, but I downgraded it to 1 star after reading the other reviews about some shoppers being treated rudely and being singled out. Shameful. read more

Negative stars if I could. We walked in and I could already feel the eyes of this disrespectful older woman working there on us. We looked around for a couple minutes and I was literally in the middle of looking at bracelets for a gift I was searching for when she essentially told us to leave since it was 10 minutes to closing, which we didn't know at the time. Before the owner tries to blame it on some high school employees, it was a much older woman who should have some etiquette and decorum for what would have been a paying customer. Plus, I only wanted to pop in for the gift. I am assuming she is not the owner because that would be an incredibly unwise way to attract customers. I never write reviews in the first place, but I was seriously shocked by this treatment. A simple warning that we are closing in 10 minutes would have been sufficient and we would have happily left beforehand. Never coming back here again and encouraging others to do the same because clearly this isn't the first time this has happened to someone. read more

Just left this place. I had something in mind that I actually came here specifically to buy. From the minute we walked in we were looked at as if we were going to rob the place. We were followed into the area to the right of the main entrance and the worker never took her eyes off of us. I even caught her looking my daughter up and down. It's a real shame because like I said before I came here to buy something, but after being followed around like a common criminal, I changed my mind. Maybe re evaluate your customer service techniques. In this day and age not everyone goes shopping dressed up. Big sale lost as a result of their antics. It always amazes me that there are people working in retail that act as if they are better than everyone else. You're not in the sorority anymore hun so cut the sorority, mean girls attitude. I love this store, they have so many cute items, from jewelry to clothing, housewares, Collegiate gear, and the children's clothes are so adorable. I purchased a couple of clearance items and after returning home realized I was not given the full discount. I called back to the store and they were able to look up my purchase and give me a credit back to my card over the phone, even texted me a receipt! I would like to give a better rating on this store because it has nice stuff and it is in my neighborhood but customer service sucks. The women working there are snobby and rude. I am not Caucasian and I felt like I was snubbed because of my looks. A family member was there once before and she felt the same way, They felt like they were not welcomed at all. Cute store with lots of prep type of accessories and a lot of southern charm. We were greeted warmly by the associate and had a chance to walk around and poke at things without feeling awkward like in some boutiques. I stopped by The Primrose Shop to get a start on my holiday shopping. It's the perfect place to find something in season and fun. All of the merchandise is beautifully displayed in sections that inspire you to relax and enjoy yourself. I poked through jewelry, spirit wear, room decor and so much more to find what I thought to be the perfect gift. The two women working in the store could not have been more friendly or helpful. It was a nice change from the chain stores. Parking can be a bit tricky but if you are patience you will prevail. read more

What a cute little shop! This is another one of those cutesy boutique's that sells tons of great gift ideas. If you're into the Greek thing, they have tons of stuff for different sororities. Super CUTE and handmade items that would make a great gift for one of your sisters. I loved the embroidered luggage tags and hand-painted picture frames. Everything was priced pretty reasonably - about $10 for the luggage tags for example. Not cheap, but definitely manageable. Besides this, there are tons of other adorable items such as unique stationary, candles, picture frames, ornaments and a crap load of Vera Bradley stuff. Not into the whole Vera Bradley "fad" - but they had a bunch of their stuff if that's your thing! The store was impeccable. Everything was arranged on tables and the whole atmosphere was just welcoming. If I'm ever looking for a gift that's one-of-a-kind, I will definitely think about heading to the Primrose Shop! read more

Another great Audubon Park business! I finally stopped at the Primrose Shop yesterday because I was waiting for my sushi order a sushi Lolas. I'm so glad I did what a cute shop all kinds of gifts for girls and babies and I love the collegiate section. Lots of FSU offerings-Go Noles! I didn't plan on buying anything but I ended up finding this really cute piggy bank for my baby niece and The Primrose shop will monogram it for you so many adorable monogram choices. The lady that was there last night was so nice! Quick tip sometimes that shopping center can get so crowded it's hard to park (due to red light red light beer parlour) but one thing I like is that they saved two parking spots for this gift shop. This gift store is a little pricey however they did have a few sales going on I don't mind paying a little bit more to support a local business. Check out the Primrose shop! read more

What a cute shop! I actually found out about this place on an episode of "Total Divas". I have been wanting a Coton Colors Happy Everything plate for a long time. In one of the scenes of the show, the girls were shopping here and I noticed the plate in the background. So I came to the store for that. The ladies who work here are extremely friendly and helpful. What an adorable shop! The window display caught my eye while on my way to P is for Pie bake shop. As soon as I walked in, one of the very helpful salespeople informed me that all holiday items were 40% off. Score! This shop sells a wide variety of home goods and gifts that can be monogrammed / personalized, like signs, kitchen goods, stemware, koozies, jewelry, baby clothing, etc. Most items are very feminine... with colors and styles that would appeal to the sorority demographic. Think Lilly Pulitzer meets Vineyard Vines. Overall, this shop feels like it belongs on Park Ave. in Winter Park. But the prices are very much in line with the neighboring shops in Audubon Park. It is a cute store, and I would like to recommend it to a friend but I cannot let myself because the women working in it are incredibly rude and snobby. I've been in high end stores before (and definitely higher end than this one) and I have never been so rudely treated by a salesperson. They have a great variety of gifts, personalized items, and Vera Bradley. The staff is usually friendly, although some of the younger girls can be quite stuck up and spend more time chatting with people they know than helping you. The store is a fair size but the space inside is tight. Not child friendly because there are way too many things they will want or break. All the items are high quality and adorable. They make wonderful gifts or just great presents for yourself. The prices on some items are a little high compared to other similar stores, however, gift wrapping is free and beautiful! Do not go on a Saturday those because that is when this store is really packed and can be hard to get around in. If there is something you want but don't see, just ask because they special order stuff all the time and new shipments come frequently.
