I took thousands of dollars worth of St. John items in February 2019 on the suggestion of a friend. At the time the shop had relocated from a storefront to a space on the second floor of the building. This is not a good location for a retail store - no visibility and difficult to find. The location is probably contributing to the poor performance of this store. The first payout was in May 2019. That check was returned NSF. In fairness, the business did replace the check and paid the NSF charges. The second payout was November 2019. I called in March 2020 right before the COIVD pandemic hit and was informed several more items sold and a check would be mailed. I never received the check. Since then have called multiple times. One time Jordon answered. Supposedly were at a show and would check on the account. Still no check. Called again spoke to a "part time employee" who again said would check on the account with Jordan. Still no check. Have since called multiple times. Never answers the phone. I will be going by the shop and retrieving all my unsold items (I have the inventory so will know what was actually sold and what is due me.) Either management is very poor or this is a scam. I will never take anything to them again and suggest no one else do so either. read more

On our trip to Nashville, I wanted to try out this high end consignment store hoping to find a good deal on a designer bag. They didn't have that many current styles - most were out of style in my opinion. They did have a few Kate Spade bags that were nice, but I had been to the Kate Spade Outlet the day before, and found better deals on new bags there than I did at The Private Label. This place is a SHAM. They have the worst return policy in the history of any store. My sister bought an expensive dress online that upon receipt she learned was cheaply made. She went to the store to speak to the owner and return the dress. The owner about the quality she admitted it was a cheap quality, but because the order had gone through. They are also extremely overpriced. The business model is probably to buy items cheap from Zaful, Houzz, Wanelo, Debop, Romwe, Shein, etc. (and if she doesn't buy them from here, you can find the exact same item for cheaper on these websites - see links below for an example). Her pictures are even blurry because they are screenshots off the websites. Do not ever buy from here! Buy from the websites she buys from (links below). If you see something on her website that you like, I recommend downloading the image, doing a google image search, finding the website she bought the item from, and buying the item for a fifth of the price. Be careful consigning with them! They tell you something has not sold when it did 6 months ago. If I had not gone it twice demanding my St John back I never would have known I call 3x and was told it was still on floor. Don't trust them. They are banking on your forgetting the item your are consigning . And they sold it way to low read more

I love this place! Everything The Private Label carries is excellent quality with the best selection in designers. It doesn't matter what your personal style is or even your budget! You will most certainly find something you love here. The accessories and shoes are always my go to when I walk in, but the entire selection is fabulous. I have been in The Private Label several times. They are not the most welcoming bunch, but I can look past that as they are trying to appear to be very "high label" store. After going in several times, I decided to consign some Tory Burch, Kate Spade and even a barely used $700 LK Bennett bag. After 6 months, I had not received any communication on the LK Bennett bag. So I went in to see if I could either pick up a check OR pick up the bag to sell elsewhere. After waiting a good 10 minutes to be helped (and there was 3 other customers in the store) I explained that I had a bag and wanted to check on the status. After standing at the counter for 10 minutes, I had already spotted the bag near the front window in a narrow, lit display case. I gave the older lady my name and she "couldn't find me in the system." This was MORE than unnerving to hear after I had dropped off over $1000 of retail. I then pointed to the bag and said, "I believe that is the bag I'm referring to. Maybe you an look up the number in your system." She never looked up the number but simply put my bag in the protective case. I took it home and put it in my closet to figure out what to do at a later date. I decided to take the bag to a different upscale consignment store in Green Hills. After taking it, I was shown a BURN place in the handle of what had been a pristine $700 bag. Not only was I very upset, but now there is NO way for me to sell the bag with a BURN in the handle! I SHOULD have looked the bag over when I picked it up, but since The Private Label is so "upscale" I only ASSUMED that they would take care of a piece that had been consigned with them. Needless to say, go check out Designer Finds or My Sister's Closet. Not only will you be treated with respect and kindness, but they will not damage your pieces! read more
