If you want a Nashville-related souvenir on or near Broadway, my advice is to visit the Opry Shop at Ryman, one of the Museum shops, or at celebrity bar of your choice. I visited the Legends Gift Shop recently and lets just say that cheap and made somewhere else Tchotchkes are not my thing. They are for some folks though, as the place was packed with happy energy during our relatively short stay. Gayle's Sister did snag some nice Christmas ornaments as gifts, but other than that, I couldn't get out of here fast enough. read more

I was able to pick up pretty Nashville postcards for 75 cents a piece, and grabbed a $7 bag of spiced peanut and a $6 small bag of caramel corn, both very good. But the space is absolutely jam-packed with people and souvenirs. There were two lines to check out, and the staff were doing their best, but it took a long time. Prices for souvenirs are high, but this is in the super densely packed Broadway touristy area, so I guess they can charge whatever they want, but I was really happy to score the postcards at a reasonable price after another shop tried to sell the same postcard for $8.00! Not an ideal sho if you are anxious around crowds, but I got a few things and got out quickly. read more

I LOVE this gift shop & its a must on my Nash trips. I've been to Nash 10 times already & I've got to say I stop in here every time & I always walk away with a few things. Their merchandise does change so it's not the same old stuff/design every time your in here. They have lots of t-shirts, sweatshirts & baby clothes. There's magnets, cups, gag gifts, shot glasses, thermal cups, plastic cups, glass cups, coasters, Christmas ornaments, hats, kids toys, lighters, stickers & blankets to name a few. The lines at the counter can get long but they move fast. There is always an employee(s) on the floor if you have questions or need help reaching that item up high, which is usually an article of clothing. Prices are reasonable. One of my two favorite items I purchased was a nice, soft, warm blanket that has Nashville sewn into the corner & this cool picture in a frame that says Nashville but it lights up, battery operated. Not sure if I took a picuture of these items & posted on here but I can later. I didn't see any of these blankets on my last trip nor the light up frame. Theres something in here for everyone & its a must stop when your on Broadway. My friend's & I save this store for the last day when we run around to get goodies to bring home. read more

This store and the merchandise is amazing. We bought everything we needed for gifts. And more. The layout is great and the selection is phenomenal. However, the cashier was very rude. She asked my friend where she was from and my friend said California. She then proceeded to complain about how much she hates Californians and how they are all coming here to hike up the taxes in Nashville. We basically apologized for living in California but we were there for work. She went on and on about it to the point where I couldn't wait for my turn to pay and then leave. I almost left all of my things. It occurred to me that since she works in a souvenir shop, she is going to encounter many people from many different states and she has a job because of the tourists. If she doesn't like tourists then she shouldn't be working there. If I return, I will go elsewhere. read more

This store got rid of the Elvis fortune teller machine. I have been going to it for years while visiting Nashville and just happen to get my last fortune a couple weeks before they took it away. I don't understand why they would take it away!! It was a go to before heading over to tootsies. If you want to go for an overdose of souvenir shopping, than this place would certainly be a 5 star review. This place is flat out packed out with merchandise. Tons and tons and tons of t-shirts all dedicated to music city and the music scene that is Nashville. Now, in addition to that, you will find all sorts of pens, magnets, drinkware, nick - knacks, hats, hoodies, long sleeve shirts ..... stuff that is related to Jack Daniels .... it's really quite endless the stuff that is in here. I'm only scraping the surface of what you'll find here. Prices are on par with the other souvenir shops that are in the area/in cities that are this size. Staff, we didn't have any interaction as we didn't make any purchases, so not sure about the customer service experience that you'll get here. If you're already here and need/want to grab something to commemorate your trip to Nashville, this would be a good spot to check out. read more

Packed with merchandise and when I asked the young cashier at the front about tote bags she gave me a blank look and pointed up to a few hanging above as if I bothered her. Another employee next to her said there were more in the very last aisle in the back of the store which is was probably a better alternative to frosty girl having to get a ladder and all. Anyway, I picked one out and noticed the young girl was so miserable and the way she mumbled to other customers, I looked for the other register to see if the friendly employee was around but she wasn't. How pathetic to have someone so lame interacting with customers. Read about Goo Goo clusters as a "thing" in Nashville cuisine. Was crying because we walked down Broadway at night when the Goo Goo shop was closed. :'( Popped into this store to buy a souvenir magnet and saw... individually wrapped packages of Goo Goo clusters!! Woo-hoo!! Saved by the souvenir store! Haha. There were 3 kinds, but the pecan one seemed tastier than the ones with peanut, so I got the supreme flavor with pecans. I also saw Moon Pies, but I already had one the other day from Food City, so I didn't buy any more. Got my Goo Goo cluster and a cute magnet of the Nashville city skyline overlooking the river. This was a typical gift shop. However the 4 stars are because I found the coolest coin purse! It's the late Great Mr. Rogers flipping the bird! How hilarious is that?!? There was also a coozy. I wish there was a larger purse bag type thing, or even a magnet and coaster. That would have been sweet! There was a coozy of a picture of Elvis, with the words under 'I'm Dead' which I thought was amazing! I had a great time in Nashville this gift shop definitely helped with my awesome find! Very rude employees. Loved a shirt in the store that was on a high rack. Asked lady at register to get my size. She said there were none in my size. However, I could see the size that I wanted. When I asked again her reply was "I've already told you we don't have that shirt in your size". She never looked. Another employee, who had been sitting on the floor in back looking on her phone, was called to get a shirt for another customer. The 2nd employee did get the shirt that I wanted but loudly proclaimed her displeasure at having to get shirts by saying "this is so fucking annoying". Legends is the king of kitschy Broadway gift shops--and trust me, there are a LOT of them. Unlike most of them, however, Legends isn't just for tourists. The place is packed with all sorts of nutty little knickknacks, sunglasses, belt buckles, shirts, CDs and more. Legends has an awful lot of Elvis-related memorabilia, and their life-size Elvis statue out front is pretty impressive. They sell a few CDs by legendary artists like Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette and Johnny Cash, not to mention countless crazy little statuettes and bags. Of course they have a few terribly tacky items (as do most tourist shops), but they're mostly the good kind of tacky (not a TON of rebel flag type stuff). I typically can't stand souvenir shops, but this one genuinely isn't bad. If you're going to go hunting for shot glasses, t-shirts or other cheap souvenirs in the city, I'd say this is the number one spot. read more

When trying to categorize this place, I was torn--it is shopping, but there was no category for "tacky must-have souvenirs". So, local flavor it is. While they sell "apparel" of sorts (t-shirts for all ages, as well as bikinis for women in the summer) it's mainly a place to buy anything Elvis that you can imagine. The reason I love this place is because it's tacky, but in the old-school way--there is no airbrush to be found, and most of what you will find centers around shot glasses, random souvenir boxes, and t-shirts emblazoned with the names of country music legends--and Elvis of course. I bought a Johnny Cash onesie (in black of course) for a friend's baby and it was a total hit at the baby shower. I must say though, my best and most popular purchase to date has to be my Elvis Presley signature bikini. Yes, that's right--a black bikini with the King's signature all over it. Gift from my mother when she was visiting once...she's the ultimate Elvis fan. So, if you are visiting--or just need some good ole' Nashville paraphernalia--and can't decide which tacky gift shop to visit, might I recommend Legends? It's a step above the rest! read more

The better of the two gift shops on Music Row according to my newly transplanted local friend. I did go to the other one that was open that late and after going through their collections I decided to buy my goods here. They had the same group of country music t-shirts and collectibles and also had more of the same. My sister collects snow globes so I bought one here which was not so tacky. The funny fortune teller machines of Elvis and Willie Nelson were hilarious. They have a pretty wide selection of other non-Nashville/country items, like an old school wooden pop gun and funny coozies. I would usually be unimpressed with the selection as a a way to try to pander and sell something but I thought it was pretty funny and kept me amused for while. read more

The absolute worst customer service thanks to a rude store attendant (I didn't get her name, but with reddish/brown hair and tattoos). I needed assistance getting a shirt from a top display rack. The lines were extremely long and two attendants were checking out customers. I decided to stand in line to get assistance when I finally saw this disrespectful person walking towards the front counter. I tapped her on her back to get her attention since she was ignoring customers. Her response was "you don't have to touch!". I explained what I needed and she told me to wait while she commenced to straightening hangers and collecting trash. By this time, everyone in my line was perplexed and another person remarked on her inappropriate "don't touch" comment. I was still waiting in line when she came back and yelled "who wanted the shirt?" When I acknowledged my presence and told her what I wanted, she appeared clueless yet everyone in line knew exactly what I was describing since it was clearly visible. She continued with negative banter, but I was dismissive. She told me there were only 2 sizes--small or a 4X. I told her to give me the larger one on the rack. She came back with NO shirt while the cashier checked me out. When I asked her where was the shirt, her response was "I told you there was only a small and 4X". Finally, another customer chimed in and said, "she told you the 4X"! She was so impatient and unwilling to help. As an executive, I have to address and de-escalate complaints when my staff fails to meet expectations. However, I can only imagine how someone with less social experience, critical thinking skills, or empathy would feel dealing with someone so unprofessional. Fortunately, she misread the sizes and the 4X was actually an XL which is what I wanted in the first place. I was in Nashville for business, and it will be my last time visiting this store. The cashier overheard most of the conversation and apologized for her coworker's bad attitude. This immature, disrespectful person should be terminated immediately since she doesn't know how to deal with people. read more

Walked into this store randomly looking for a Nashville Cap, and I'm glad I did!!!! I asked someone where the caps were and out of no where appeared this lady. She had her purse in hand, so I thought she was a friendly person that may have also been shopping for a cap since she knew exactly where they were. She was extremely nice and helpful, I was amazed how much she wanted to help. Then I realized she worked there since everyone was asking her questions or she continued to help other customers. I walked into this store tonight and happened to get a call from my dog sitter who had to bring her to the emergency vet while I am on vacation. There was a woman in the store that said I could not be at the back of the store on the phone even though I was not in either of the employee offices. You are not going to find a better tourist and local flavor shop than the Legends Gift shop. I am FROM here and I spent a good hour in here going through each aisle with my friends and literally laughing until we cried at some of the stuff available. Yes it is tacky. Yes they have some of the silliest stuff imaginable. - Marilyn Monroe and Elvis rubber toys for the bath - complete with ridiculous duck noses where their actual nose should be - Rock-n-roll magnets for your fridge. Plus any other kind of magnet - Elvis beanie babies. Why the hell did I want the red one so bad? I don't know, but I'm telling you I did. - drivers licenses with dead and living celebrities on them - What the hell is up with the coasters, magnets, and T shirts with the cartoon cats with the butt facing forward? Cat butts? Cat rear ends looking you right in the eye? What the FUUUUUCK!? We laughed until we cried at those. I have a cat in person and I don't want to see his butt in my face so why would I want that? Hilarious though!! Keep them in mind for your next white elephant exchange. - shot glasses, fake road signs, ashtrays, and the usual stuff you find in gift shops - these key chains that were made of sticky material in the shape of vajayjays that will stick to the wall. I won't even say what they were called but yeah, again, we laughed until everyone thought we were drunk - silly T shirts for all sexes and ages - Cowboy hats of varying coolness - Real guitars (although quality may not be good) - western belts and other type western wear In the front, across from the register area, they have a fortune telling machine with a talking Elvis. I. CANNOT. RESIST. ELVIS. Plus, he's dead so maybe he really can tell me my fortune. So I put the 50 cents in and he starts telling me how I basically need to talk less and listen more. Then he gives me a printout saying a similar thing but in a rhyming verse. It is like he KNOWS me or something! Not that I get wordy and talk too much. No way. Not me. Thank you, thank you very much Elvis. This place is just good clean fun for locals and tourists alike. Have an hour to kill downtown? This was my first trip to Nashville and everywhere I went, people were cheery and helpful to tourists. I am not one to write bad reviews but was I was completely unimpressed by the photo of a homeless man on the wall who was arrested for shoplifting. Totally uncalled for and classless in my opinion. To add to my distaste for this store, the cashier was extremely rude to a woman in front of me who was buying a duplicate item from the store because the first one she bought broke. The cashier told the women it was her fault or "operators error" and not the stores fault for not wrapping it up. This woman was buying 200 dollars worth of stuff by the way. If you're coming from out of town, my recommendation is to buy your tourist souvenirs elsewhere. read more

This place truly is quite gimmicky, as you would expect from a typical gift shop, but it's got enough of the usual fares to keep you and your loved ones content and satisfied after a trip away from home. I'm a poor sap of a collector for souvenir spoons, so after the staff were incredibly helpful to point out all of the potential spoons I could buy, I spent the rest of the 20 minutes looking for stuff for the rest of the family and fiancée. Of all the downtown tourist shops I have spent more time than I should have at Legends Gifts mostly because it has everything. I have tried on cowboy hats, random costume cowboy outfits, guitar shaped backpacks, and piano key belts. I have taken photos with fake wooden guns, confederate flags, funny street signs, and a menagerie of shot glasses. After all that I got coke and snack and walked away happy. For all you tourists planning a trip to Nashville, this souvenir gift shop should definitely be on your walking tour. read more

Out of all of the tacky tourist souvenir shops on Lower Broadway, I was able to find some pretty nice things for the folks back home here - a stylish vintage inspired men's T-shirt, Jack Daniels Whiskey Praline Pecans, Tennessee Whiskey Candy. Came in here while visiting Nashville and the store is so cluttered that I accidentally knocked down a $22 whiskey glass.. The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful but once the man "claiming" to be the manager came over, he doesn't even help clean up but instead looks at the glass and says "oh! Yeah $22, now you get to buy something for $22 in this store" very rudely. I must say I would not have minded it if he was nice about it but instead he locked us in the store and wouldn't let us out until We bought something. We threatened to call the police and he was actually scaring us that it got me to shaking.. I was so close to the cal the police but once he noticed people walking out he finally let us out and walked away. I didn't mean to break the glass and would have paid for it if he wasn't crazy!
