I LOVE this gift shop & its a must on my Nash trips. I've been to Nash 10 times already & I've got to say I stop in here every time & I always walk away with a few things. Their merchandise does change so it's not the same old stuff/design every time your in here. They have lots of t-shirts, sweatshirts & baby clothes. There's magnets, cups, gag gifts, shot glasses, thermal cups, plastic cups, glass cups, coasters, Christmas ornaments, hats, kids toys, lighters, stickers & blankets to name a few. The lines at the counter can get long but they move fast. There is always an employee(s) on the floor if you have questions or need help reaching that item up high, which is usually an article of clothing. Prices are reasonable. One of my two favorite items I purchased was a nice, soft, warm blanket that has Nashville sewn into the corner & this cool picture in a frame that says Nashville but it lights up, battery operated. Not sure if I took a picuture of these items & posted on here but I can later. I didn't see any of these blankets on my last trip nor the light up frame. Theres something in here for everyone & its a must stop when your on Broadway. My friend's & I save this store for the last day when we run around to get goodies to bring home.

As gift shops go, this was a good one. Clean, plenty of souvenirs and right across the street form the original Grand Ole Opre. The prices were reasonable and the staff was easy going and helpful. I found several things to take home to my friends and family.

They sell several kinds of Goo Goo clusters here!

Read about Goo Goo clusters as a "thing" in Nashville cuisine. Was crying because we walked down Broadway at night when the Goo Goo shop was closed. :'( Popped into this store to buy a souvenir magnet and saw... individually wrapped packages of Goo Goo clusters!! Woo-hoo!! Saved by the souvenir store! Haha. There were 3 kinds, but the pecan one seemed tastier than the ones with peanut, so I got the supreme flavor with pecans. I also saw Moon Pies, but I already had one the other day from Food City, so I didn't buy any more. Got my Goo Goo cluster and a cute magnet of the Nashville city skyline overlooking the river. Mission complete. :)

This was a typical gift shop. However the 4 stars are because I found the coolest coin purse! It's the late Great Mr. Rogers flipping the bird! How hilarious is that?!? There was also a coozy. I wish there was a larger purse bag type thing, or even a magnet and coaster. That would have been sweet! There was a coozy of a picture of Elvis, with the words under 'I'm Dead' which I thought was amazing! I had a great time in Nashville this gift shop definitely helped with my awesome find! Thank you thank you Nashville and of course MR. ROGERS FOR A PICTURE OF YOU FLIPPING THE BIRD!

If you are looking for touristy gifts, look no more. This is pretty much the only shop with tourist gifts n junk. I found a gel apple cinnamon candle that I didn't really want to put in my checked bags going home, but it smelled so good that I couldn't pass it up. I also got a few Tennessee shot glasses. Make sure you move fast because the lone goes quick... dont expect chat from the employees.

I know it's obviously a big tourist trap but, sometimes on vacation you need a little souvenir. They have tons of your typical junk but and a handful of quality items as well i.e. a selection of silly tourist hats as well as real Stetsons as well. I ended up with a sweet little red riding hood/wolf salt and pepper shaker set and had my fortune told by Elvis... it's a win win!

Legends is the king of kitschy Broadway gift shops--and trust me, there are a LOT of them. Unlike most of them, however, Legends isn't just for tourists. The place is packed with all sorts of nutty little knickknacks, sunglasses, belt buckles, shirts, CDs and more. Legends has an awful lot of Elvis-related memorabilia, and their life-size Elvis statue out front is pretty impressive. They sell a few CDs by legendary artists like Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette and Johnny Cash, not to mention countless crazy little statuettes and bags. Of course they have a few terribly tacky items (as do most tourist shops), but they're mostly the good kind of tacky (not a TON of rebel flag type stuff). I typically can't stand souvenir shops, but this one genuinely isn't bad. If you're going to go hunting for shot glasses, t-shirts or other cheap souvenirs in the city, I'd say this is the number one spot.

    Robin S.

When trying to categorize this place, I was torn--it is shopping, but there was no category for "tacky must-have souvenirs". So, local flavor it is. While they sell "apparel" of sorts (t-shirts for all ages, as well as bikinis for women in the summer) it's mainly a place to buy anything Elvis that you can imagine. The reason I love this place is because it's tacky, but in the old-school way--there is no airbrush to be found, and most of what you will find centers around shot glasses, random souvenir boxes, and t-shirts emblazoned with the names of country music legends--and Elvis of course. I bought a Johnny Cash onesie (in black of course) for a friend's baby and it was a total hit at the baby shower. I must say though, my best and most popular purchase to date has to be my Elvis Presley signature bikini. Yes, that's right--a black bikini with the King's signature all over it. Gift from my mother when she was visiting once...she's the ultimate Elvis fan. So, if you are visiting--or just need some good ole' Nashville paraphernalia--and can't decide which tacky gift shop to visit, might I recommend Legends? It's a step above the rest!

    Kenny C.

You can tell where Legends is by the lifesize Elvis statue outside. Does Legends sell overpriced Nashville souvenirs? Sure does. Is it any less awesome? Nope. They have so much stuff in here that it can basically be a one-stop shop for gifts. I picked up some shot glasses and magnets. They also have a crap ton of t-shirts, belts, and even cigarettes. Baiscally, everything you could ever need to prove that you were in Tennessee.

This was a new brand to us all together and we loved the fabrics and the styles. My husband walked away with two shirts and a jacket. All of the materials are super soft (like buttery), no-iron and cuts are ready-to-wear off the shelf and look perfect on my husband. Although there are a few "cuts/styles" of let's say shirts, they are athletically cut and tailored, but off the shelf...there is definitely a market for this concept and I think State and Liberty looks to play a roll. We brought everything back to Vegas and my husband just wore the jacket today...he looked cool, classy, original and a bit baller I might say! Grace. Where to start? Well I guess with the people, I had the fortune of being welcomed and aided by the establishments name sake "J Michael Barrett". Polite, friendly, and knowledgeable are some of the things that stood out to me when working with him through the process. He showed me exactly what I was looking for as far as options in a few custom suits. He didn't try to show me what I wasn't interested or what he was trying to push. He listened and was receptive and that was greatly appreciated. Next the options... countless would be the word I would use to describe their selection. Almost to the point whereas a novice I couldn't tell the difference between some of them, but thankfully Michael was there to help. Overall, having gotten a few suits made to measure in the past I know how the experience can be a bit of a pain or seem daunting. I am glad I went to J Michael's as Michael made it seemless and effortless on my part. Anxiously waiting for the end result. I would highly recommend J Michael's to anyone interested in anything from customer suits down to a new tie or pair of socks. Can't speak highly enough of them.

And when I looked online I would see pictures of the brand's stores...charming, and beautifully designed. The Nashville store is so cute and it's on a really lovely tree lined street with older classic brick houses and just a few choice shops and cafes. When you walk in the store it's cozy but very airy and there's a women's and men's section. The salesman Joel was so nice and offered me a glass of wine or water and just let me basically look at what I wanted and then brought whatever I wanted to the dressing room. They weren't pushy at all and I bought the most beautiful shirt. You'll find pieces here that you won't find in the department stores that normally carry Billy Reid. The store is just a 20 minute walk from the stores at the Gulch. When I walked over I was wearing a jacket because it had been raining but it got quite warm (the humidity). So when I went in the store, which was so nice and cool, I took off my jacket. The salesman took my jacket and nicely hung it up on a hanger. When I purchased my shirt, he beautifully folded up my jacket and put it alongside my new shirt in the bag. So nice! Fantastic service and I will come back here in a heartbeat. Yes the price is a bit high but a lot of the pieces are made in Italy, and the quality is great....you'll find pieces here that you won't find in any of the department stores that carry Billy Reid.

Besides my personal opinion, it should be duly noted that since my last review, Mr. Reid was bestowed the incredible honor of being awarded the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. For those who don't follow the Fashion industry like it's their Fantasy Football league... this is a MASSIVE deal. Some say it's practically the Oscars or ahem, Super Bowl of this very particular industry. I am proud that a Southern designer (he hails from Alabama) conquered! With current collaborations with K-Swiss and J Crew, this brand is certainly on the rise! With that being said, Billy has just 6 retail locations so it is quite fantastic that we have one in the Hill Center. I was seduced my an up to 70% off sign when I was skipping around and couldn't pass up the stellar deals. My eyes were enticed by the Classic Peacoat in a natural shade which was regularly priced at $495 but I was able to snatch it up for $150! What. A. Deal. Consider that this piece will never go out of style so event at the original price tag, there is a ton of value for the amount of wear this classic will get! Billy's collection is one that will only get better with wear and tear. My love affair didn't just stop there. I couldn't help but notice a mighty fine pair of high waisted and wide bottomed black trousers referred to as the Heirloom ($265). Pants are always a tougher purchase for me especially due to my short inseam but with the assistance of a staffer who pinned my new pants and a $12 alteration fee (inexpensive), I am now the owner of a gorgeous pair of trousers that make me feel like a million bucks. Lastly, the staff were just a delight from the moment that I originally came in over the weekend to browse when they offered to put the peacoat on hold until I could make a choice on what color I preferred to the nice lad who was literally on the floor pinning my pants for alteration today. TIP: If you love Levis, Billy Reid will start carrying certain styles of this other classic at this location in just a couple of weeks!

What had prior to 2021 been the abandoned Nashville Convention Center is now a modern mixed use development that has brought life into Broadway west of the "Honkey Tonk Highway" stretch. It features a shopping mall, Assembly Food Hall, a retail scape fronting Broadway, The Place at Fifth, the National Museum of African American Music, and the towering landmark 501 Commerce Street Building. It has brought an Apple Store, Sephora, Shake Shack, Hattie B's, Prince's Chicken, and more to Broadway. On my vacation, I had caught it's act several times. The one sight that always stood out was the consistent long line to Hattie B's. My visits here included Assembly Food Hall, Prince's Fried Chicken, the Twelve Thirty Club, visit the Apple Store, and walk around. My impression was that the stores and restaurants are reasonably priced. Although the restaurants and stores provide decent value, to me the greatest value here was the photo opportunities. The focal point of the development, the L-shaped mall which bridges Broadway with Rep. John Lewis Way gives the gift of a prime photo spot for the 1) Ryman Auditorium where the original Grand Ol Opry performed and 2) Bridgestone Arena. The restaurants, especially in the Assembly Hall provide an opportunity to photograph food. I recommend the Assembly Food Hall Bridge to photograp the historic Ryman Auditorium. Additionally , I learned that if I stood on Broadway by the Bridgestone Arena, that Fifth Plus Broadway made a dynamic photo showing modern and historic Broadway, with the modern Fifth Plus Broadway architecture including towers contrasting with the historic Honkey Tonk Highway streetscape. As far as safety, I felt safe. The one annoyance that I saw were street hustlers at the Rep. John Lewis Way entrance aggressively bothering passer-by. During all of my visits here it was busy. There is a safety in numbers. On the subject of safety, the hot and humid summers need to be taken into account. On a few occasions we had escaped the excruciating heat in the air conditioned Assembly Food Hall for a couple of hours. I rate Fifth Plus Broadway "Four Stars." It is doing a remarkable job extending the lively Broadway restaurant and entertainment scene beyond the western edge of the Honkey Tonk Highway.
