You can always count on getting a great a Haircut here with Jorge and all the other barbers here. They are very professional and do a great job. All are very experienced and do great. Note you will likely need an appointment. Recently I asked him do something different for the Super Bowl and even though he's a Kansas City die hard he went out of his way to meet my needs and I loved the result (well not of the football game) but the haircut was awesome read more

This was my first time at this barbershop. I walked in without an appointment and was assigned a barber that was new. He had a hard time cutting my hair. He needed the assistance of a barber next to him. I did not leave with a great haircut and it was a bit painful due to him going over the same area of my head harshly and repeatedly. I can't speak for the rest of the barbers, but I will not return to have my haircut by the same new younger barber. read more

Came by today to get a quick haircut at 2pm, one of the barbers was helping a client and was nice enough to ask the other two barbers who were playing video games if anyone of them could help me and they both replied with "I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT 3PM." It was 2pm exact and they could have helped me but chose not to. I'll never come to this place again. P.s. it goes without saying but I would give them 0 stars if I could. read more

Really enjoyed my experience here. I had been to a couple places before, and never left satisfied. I'd tell them what I want, but they would give me the typical undercut everyone gets and just assumed that's what I wanted. However, here at the Proper, Gabriel actually listened and knew exactly what I wanted, and he finally gave me the cut I had been looking for. They're also really reasonably priced ($15 for a walk in cut, $20 for an appointment). The place itself gives off a very laid back vibe too. They had sports stuff on all the walls, and had the Champions League match playing on the tvs. This is definitely my new spot. They only take cash, so don't forget that part when going in! read more

I moved to the area last year and it was difficult to find a great barber. I probably tried every barbershop within a 5 mile radius. I have to say Proper really blew me away. I have tried every barber here and they do an amazing job. It's hard to find a barbershop like that. I often switch up my hair styles and it's great to have barbers that know what I envision. I always leave as a satisfied costumer. read more

I've gotten my haircut by everybody who works there and they all do great. They always got something good on TV, and I'm a sucker for good conversation so they've always on point with that as well. Honestly, Gabriel is my favorite but he always has people waiting so make sure to book an appointment sooner than later. read more

Call, appointment, done! These guys are perfectionists at their craft and I wouldn't want it any other way. I've been getting my hair cut by Jorge for about 4 months now. From a bald fade to a comb-over, he knows what he is doing. I've seen a few other guys cutting also while I'm in the chair and they to are nothing short but professionals. I don't see me going anywhere else for a cut but THE PROPER. Why? Because my cuts are always PROPER! 8:30am at the moment as I write this review because guess what? I'll be calling at 9am to schedule my appointment! Their shop is clean, comfortable and easy to find. Top notch guys - keep up the great work. read more

I found this place on yelp, called to book an appointment for my son & the guy who answered passed the phone to another guy who told me to call back when a 3rd guy was there & he might have time. I thought it was just bad luck, maybe I called at a bad time. The next day my husband walks in with my son & is told by some rude guy that no one has time and they are done for the day yet it was 2 hours before closing! Not sure how they got a perfect rating! They don't even deserve 1 star but I couldn't leave this review without it. read more

The Go-To place when it comes to needing a Clean cut. ALL barbers will get the job , I've been cutting my hair with these guys for the past 15 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Came by today at 3:30 sign says open till 6 but the door was locked. Somebody was cutting hair in the second chair and they just ignored me. I guess they are closed for walk ins. I tried giving this shop a chance but what kind of work ethic do you expect from 90s babies. This place is terrible. read more

These are some of the best barbers around! They always come through with quality hair cuts. They don't rush you in and out in 15 minutes and on to the next one. They all take their time to give you a quality hair cut. They have nice Tvs to watch sports or movies. Call for an appointment read more

Place is more like a beauty salon for women with Appointments and never allow walk-ins, I've been refused twice for no service because all appointment. I don't leave negative comments ever but if they weren't rude about it twice I wouldn't have expressed my experience. read more

Come through to The Proper! Everyone here at the shop is very talented at what they do. The place is clean, the seating is pretty comfy, they have some consoles set up in the corner if you have kids and they need something to kill time on, and best of all they have two large flat screens to keep you entertained while you get your cut. Just make sure you book an appointment because these guys are pretty busy most of the time, ask for Ivan! read more

I don't understand how they have, walk-ins welcome & yet you walk in and get turned away bcuz they are booked with appointments. I walked in and there's only 2 ppl sitting down waiting a father with his son. How long would it have took to cut a 6 year old hair with out messing up ur "appointments" seems like they already have their own customers and that's fine just take down that walk-in welcome sign. read more

(Please note in regards of closing hours, we do not take in people at the last minute of the last hour but instead its last person on the chair will be 30-45 min prior to closing hour.)
