Kirk was in charge of setting up and making sure everything was done for the seller since he was living out of State. When we looked at the place it was trashed and we got told it would be professionally cleaned. That turned into a fight because the seller accepted our offer before the cleaning really happened. We also had the seller service the HRV system and put 100 gallons of fuel in it. I feel bad for the seller because he spent money on things that did not happen. The way it looked is Kirk found people on Craigslist and went with it and truly did not care. After fighting to get the house cleaned he found someone to pick up all the large items that was laying around the house. Nothing was cleaned at all and I will attach pictures for proof. The seller paid $350 for some cleaners to come in and basically steal items out of the house. The cleaners claimed they scrubbed the walls and cleaned everything in the house. Well there was still dried dog poop on the carpet and cigarettes on the floor. My wife took a wet paper towel and did one swipe down the window and it turned the paper towel black. The reason this is going on Kirk's review is because he said this was professionally cleaned everything was supposed to come with the house but when we moved in lots of the nicer stuff was gone like a really nice craftsman shopvac and a rifle under the house. After we moved in we checked the HRV system and nothing was ever serviced and it still had the same nasty filters on it from before we moved in, so another thing the seller paid for and didn't get done. The 100 gallons of fuel was a fight also because when the offer was accepted there was 30 gallons of fuel left in the tank. I had to fight to get fuel put in because there was no way 30 gallons of fuel would last for 2 months. Kirk said they would put 100 gallons of fuel in. Well they said they put 100 gallons of fuel in but did not have proof they did, so I checked it and they did not put in 100 gallons they got the tank to 100 gallons. So by the time we got into the house it was back at 30 gallons. I really hope the seller did not have to pay for 100 gallons of fuel when Kirk didn't really put in 100 gallons of fuel. Baically everything that we had to fight to get done Kirk fought not to do and finally he would give in and pay someone money to do nothing. Sad really If you want a great experience I would highly suggest Angie and Heather at Somers & Associates. They fought Kirk tooth and nail just to get things done. They would always text me saying they had to go find Kirk because he has not answered his phone or e-mail. Reply To Kirk: Thanks for the reply Kirk but how could you say they did a good job cleaning when I have proof they did nothing. I can keep the pictures going if you like but as you can already see they didn't clean. The only reason I am giving a bad review is to warn people that its not right what happened and to have you say it is false just proves everything. I am glad I did not pay for this and I feel sorry for the seller who had to pay $350 As far as the stuff inside I can see how it should of been on the list of stuff to keep in the house but still shady if you ask me. It is what it is though. HRV being serviced: Did they happen to mention in the bill that the filter was held on by duct tape and it was missing the outbound air pipe? Also that it was on a timer that turned it on every 3 hours and really was never hooked up right? As far as I know the HRV system is not suppose to blow the air between the sheetrock, it is suppose to have tubes going to the vents.

    We purchased a house in Fairbanks in 2002. We just sold it (Dec 2022). About 3 years after we…read morebought the house we had to move back to California because the job I had went away. I hired Marga Lynn at Remax to do Property Management for the property. We did not want to sell it, we really liked it. Marga Lynn was not bad she did a fair job at keeping the property rented and keeping me informed. At some point Marga Lynn retired and turned the business over to her daughter Jaquie. It was clear from the start that Jaquie was just not that into property management, but I stayed with her because of her moms prior support for our property. We ended up coming back to Fairbanks and living in the house for another 2 years. Following that we tried several times to sell the property (with Jaquie). There was really no marketing effort, it was a list and see what happens sort of effort. In the last effort about 8 years ago Jaquie found us a buyer who would only qualify if we did a wrap-around mortgage for 7 years to let them build up the down payment. We did and for 7 years I collected their payment and payed on our mortgage (sometimes adding money). For 7 years it was almost impossible to reach Jaquie for anything. 13-14 months ago when it was time for the buyer to wrap up the sale, Jaquie was nowhere to be found, I tried many times to contact her, but she would not respond. Finally, when she did respond, her email was something to the effect of "You are starting this process too late, it should have been started months ago" Like I was the real estate agent. The buyers ended up not buying our house (they did trash it pretty good, requiring me to fly up and spend $30,000 on contractors to fix it). The buyers used the down payment they saved up to buy another house. The story ends well, I found a competent agent at Madden Real Estate who did a great job selling the house. See my review. You do not want to touch the Jaquie Rosenthal Re/Max Real Estate agency with a 10 foot pole. It does not matter if you are seller, buyer, renter or landlord.

    I rented from re/max (Fairbanks, alaska) . Owner never answers her phone , she refuses to meet you…read morein person, had a huge bug issue all summer into the winter, and she refused to fix it. I placed a complain into HQ and they failed to due there part. How are you going to allow someone to use your name when the property manager fails at being a property manager . I have pictures of the bug issue , it was gross . I killed over 20 gnats a day . I didn't have any fruit or snacks out that would attract them . They would come in from the poorly built windows. I also Had a broken bedroom window lock , which is a Fire hazard. she sucked at being a property manager. Terrible at communication!! Do no rent 327 W fifth . There is a bug issue !!
