We were pleasantly surprised by a small, but nice brewpub with board games to boot. They didn't have any tables for four because of reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar and set our kids up with a game of Battleship while we had some beer and food. The beer wasn't world class, but also didn't disappoint. The unicycle sour IPA, was my standout, but the porter and monster mash IPA were also good. The rest were fine, but not amazing. The food was (if anything) better than the beer. The plain cheese pizza my son got was good and had nicely browned cheese all over. The sauce was a bit on the sweet side, but not unpleasantly so. I'd probably lean more into pizza next time even if it's a bit too carb heavy. The spuds (potato wedges) were only OK. I got the Thai chicken salad, which was spicy with great greens and good chicken. Nice and fresh. My wife seemed to be less enamored of her bahn mi burger, but still said it was good. The service was attentive and happy to accommodate us and our kids. Would definitely come again.

The service was friendly and attentive and the cooks made the food super fast. The French press earl gray was very good. It was a great family restaurant. It was overall a great experience.

I got a flight of the glowing embers ale, kelp stout, dark lager, and spruce tree ale. Dark beers are usually my favourite, but my favourite out of this batch might have actually been the glowing embers, which was described as a candied smoked ale. The caramelly/smoky combination was great. The kelp stout was interesting - I found it had a slightly vegetal finish but wasn't overtly kelpy. If you like stouts, you'll probably like this. All the beers were very enjoyable. The spruce tree ale and kelp stout are probably the two to try if you want something uniquely local. The Japanese street food truck outside was also fantastic! You can grab food from them and bring it inside the brewery. They also have bar snacks (pretzels, chips) inside. The building is cool. There are front and back patios, a spacious main floor, and a hidden, cozier second floor. The bartender that served me was very friendly. I noticed that the staff was very diligent about clearing tables inside but not so much outside, I saw a table on the patio that had abandoned empty glasses sitting on it when I went out to pick up my food truck order and still there when I left.

Only one thing- This place absolutely needs more review!…read more They have some of the mean bowls and we ended up trying two of them. Salmon and Kale, Pachamama bowl. 5/5. The squash, beetroot and kale were steaming hot from Pachamama. Thanks for adding shaved Brussels sprouts. That's my new favorite now. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Chips and Salsa didn't feel freshly made but still were surprisingly perfect that our kid gobbled it all. Just right seasoning ( which have been hit and miss in all other places for last couple of days) We also had vanilla and affogato. Parking- no dedicated parking lot. Street parking or public parking is the only option. Place is open till late and had definitely had lot of late nighters drinking. We ordered one drink - hibiscus margarita. It was well made. The service was quick and we saw dishes going out one after another too. The playlist this evening was the best part of our dinner! We were vibing at the songs loved by us 80s/90s kids. Thanks for playing all those songs I haven't listened in two decades. Only missing was a little space to shake our legs and dance away. Hope I get to return to try out more. If you are looking for restaurants in Tofino, please do stop by! I recommend it as a must try while you are here. P.S. I took the zoomed in photo of the bowls to give it a try in my own kitchen

Wow what a gem in Forks!…read more Nicely curated beer selection- I love that once they finish a keg they swap it out randomly with what they have - meaning each time you come in, the beer menu will be different! THIS IS THE MOST REAL REVIEW YOU WILL SEE ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT. every yelp review about this place…read moreis so fake. After a long day of hiking and driving from Port Angeles to Forks, we did the Hoh trails and were extremely hungry after. We looked on Yelp and this was one of the highest rated places, so we thought it would be good. I genuinely do not understand the ratings. The food was terrible. The nachos were basically just a bag of stale chips served on a plate. There was maybe sour cream on ONE chip. The cheese was literally cold and frozen onto the chips. I'm not even exaggerating. The sandwiches were also extremely bland and nothing about the food matched what the reviews made this place seem like. Even looking through the reviews beforehand, so many of the Elite reviews read like the same forced AI review saying how amazing everything is. After actually eating here, I seriously question how this place has such a high rating. Easily one of the worst meals we had on the entire trip. I don't even wanna put a pic of the nachos that's how bad it was. the sandwiches were actually pretty decent that's about it.
