After a long day of hiking and driving from Port Angeles to Forks, we did the Hoh trails and were extremely hungry after. We looked on Yelp and this was one of the highest rated places, so we thought it would be good. I genuinely do not understand the ratings. The food was terrible. The nachos were basically just a bag of stale chips served on a plate. There was maybe sour cream on ONE chip. The cheese was literally cold and frozen onto the chips. I'm not even exaggerating. The sandwiches were also extremely bland and nothing about the food matched what the reviews made this place seem like. Even looking through the reviews beforehand, so many of the Elite reviews read like the same forced AI review saying how amazing everything is. After actually eating here, I seriously question how this place has such a high rating. Easily one of the worst meals we had on the entire trip. Probably one of the best dining options in Forks - there weren't very many options in town and this seemed like the best one from our Yelp research. My panini sandwich was pretty good, I wish it was a bit bigger but solid for lunch or a quick snack. The highlight was definitely the ciders/beers on tap, they had a good variety of flavors and sizes. You can even purchase growlers to-go. I ordered the 10 oz Watermelon Basil and Pineapple ciders, which were both very refreshing and yummy. My friend ordered the sampler, which came with four 5 oz flavors of her choice. What a terrific surprise in Forks! We were driving through and very hungry. There were not many options. First place we went to had a long wait. We did a Yelp search and saw the Westend Taproom and so glad we went there. It is not very noticeable from the main road, but not far from it with plenty of parking. We had our dog with us, so we ate outside on the patio which was not just nice (with games), but had heaters. They have a really outstanding beer selection--where you can see how much is left in a keg and then get a free beer if your order finishes it. I had a couple and they were both good. For food, I had the two cheese panini while my wife had beef and cheddar. These came with chips. Both were really tasty, we were both really pleased. Absolutely, definitely worth a visit! read more

QUICK READ I have heard horror stories about the food in Fork, and while Michelin may not be visiting here any time soon, they have easy paninis that are hot and tasty, good pretzels, good braut, and a good pint. My partner and I just spent 4 days in Olympic National Park where the nature is gorgeous but food options are rather limited but we found one of the best local places. We liked the decor, the ambiance and the beer and cider and local wine options are really good. The food was also great. The services were warm and personal and it gave you a very homey feeling. After dinner, we left for Sol Duc hot spring resort for the night where there was absolutely no cell services and the next morning proceeded to our trip to Seattle where I found out my purse was missing. It has my driver's license AND passport, along with a few hundreds of cash. I panicked. The next morning, Amy, the Taproom owner called and left a message saying she had my purse. Apparently, she tried really hard to find my contact number even calling my banks to let them know that my accounts might have been at risk. I called her back and Amy was so nice and all she was concerned about was what I would need (IDs to get on the airplane the same evening) and the best way to get my purse back to me. She kindly offered to bring my purse to Port Angeles so we would not have to drive the extra hr to Fork from Seattle . She stayed in touch with me the entire time until we met her with my purse and everything intact in there. I feel so grateful and very fortunate to have had the oversight from someone as kind and compassionate as Amy. read more

What a super fun local owned and local supported spot in forks. If you're passing through or doing an overnight I highly recommend coming in here for a panini and a beer. The taps seem to rotate and they have a mix of everything so if you like ciders they've got those if you like dark or light or pale they have all those. They make homemade paninis with homemade cheese. They have them in like salami or turkey or beef and they come with a delicious dill pickle and a little side of chips. What a wonderful hidden gem, hidden in the heart of Forks WA. Walking in feels like home, they greet you with a friendly hello. After taking our order, we found a cute little type living room with couches and a large TV making us feel even more at home. Our food came very quickly even with a half-packed house.
