My first experience with a mobile groomer. I am not pleased with how it went. My 6 month old shi-poo's 1st grooming. I have bathed her myself. The puppy barber came out was in the van for 2 hours brought her back to me I un groomed. They stated she stressed pooped 3 times so they had to rewash her 3 times. (I wouldn't think that would constitute a full bath) considering her poop is the size of a Cheeto. She did not have diarrhea prior to or after. They trimmed around her eyes (not that you can tell) her paw pads and rear. But invoicing me for a full groom! I was told because the van came out, with 2 workers and the products used is why I have to pay full price. I thought I was paying for a service, not the cost of them doing business that they write off on their taxes! I wasn't told that if they were unable to groom her it would be the same price, or I would have cancelled! That should be their responsibility when I call to inquire of the prices. They are the experts....knowing my dog was a puppy and her 1st groom that should have been the first thing they informed me of. So if you use this company ask questions, because I never dreamed I would be charged for a full groom and my dog basically got 3 baths supposedly. I don't mind paying for the services I got but it was NOT a full groom as invoiced and charged with total of almost 100.00. Very poor customer service, 1st and foremost for not informing me of their ridiculous policy of paying full price regardless if they fail to provide the service you ask for. 2nd getting paid for services not provided 3rd not willing to reduce the cost to compensate your customer since you could not provide those services. Instead, telling me I'm paying for the cost of him doing business at my house that day! Just be cautious using this company. read more

The Puppy Barber came recommended by the family the sold us our puppies. They are a mobile dog grooming service. They are communicative, and really do a great job grooming our pups. We get text reminders before the appointment, as well as day-of notifications that they are on their way! They're reasonably priced and are teaching our puppies how to handle grooming. read more

Booked an appointment date and time according to slots available per their website only to have them contact me less than 2 days out and change my appointment time and date for 3 weeks later. Rationale: they stated appointment times on the website are only requests!!! Then why have tbem available to select? And why wait 2 days before and state this...Horrible customer service- in a customer service field! read more

The Puppy BUTCHER!!! OMG!!! Worst experience ever!! My dogs are mutilated!! My neighbor uses this company to wash her dogs. I thought it was a great concept and would be less stressful for my pups. Angela had a horrible attitude from the start. She claimed my 1 year old was matted so she had to shave off his tail and ears!! This is complete crap! He was professionally groomed 5 weeks ago. I bathed him 2 weeks ago and have photos of his ears and tail from 2 days ago. There is no excuse for what she has done to my beautiful pup. His long silky tail and ears will take a year to grow back. I am furious, disgusted, heartbroken and sick every time I look at him. I specifically said do not cut their ears, tails or beards. She lopped off my other shih tzu's beard. Why?? Was it matted too?? She left my 3rd one gapped up and with one long ear and one short ear. I am devastated!! I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy! Please beware!! Steve was apologetic and shocked. Angela actually demanded that I pay her more than the quoted price for this hack job!! She was a jerk!! The puppy barber gave my yorkie the worst haircut you ever want to see, they shaved him without my permission and I work on movie sets everyone on set said that his cut was horrible, do not let them touch you pet !! You will be disappointed!!! I would not refer these people!!!! read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a grooming company. I found the puppy barber online and was immediately sold when the owner called me and helped set up my first appointment. He said it would be $85 to groom my 20 pound poodle, which was much more than I had been paying, but I understand mobile grooming comes at a higher cost. The first appointment comes around and I wasn't impressed, but it usually takes the groomer and the dog a time or two to get used to each other. I scheduled my next appointment at the end of the first appointment still hopeful that this could be our new groomer. 8 weeks later and it's time for our second appointment. When I go to collect my dog I realize immediately that she has a cut on her face, her feet have not been trimmed at all, and she has uneven pieces all over. When I initially spoke with the owner I was assured that the groomer I would be seeing had cut a poodle before, and the main request I had from this groomer was clean feet. For $85 though I was still willing to stick it out and see if it got better, so I scheduled my next appointment. After getting me for a third appointment, the groomer dropped a bomb that prices would be increasing to $125 for my 20 pound poodle. Obviously I cancelled my appointment immediately and told her we would not be returning. I know that this call falls completely on the owner and this groomer was following company policy, but the fact that she thought it was okay to return my dog with a far less that $85 quality grooming job and then ask for an extra $40 at our next visit is absurd. I have talked with many past clients of the puppy barber that can attest to the insane price jumps. Don't let the owner fool you with his talk of "keeping mobile grooming affordable" because that will only last one or two appointments. read more

Steve and his entire crew are amazing!!!! Our puppy Ripley loves their crew so much that she runs out of our door to jump into their arms. She does that with no one else. They're amazing how our baby always looks wonderful and we don't even have to leave our house to have this perfect service. read more

I have used Puppy Barber 3 times, and can honestly say I was very pleased with the grooms my pups received, and I was also very pleased with the groomers themselves. My issue with them is their communication. When I made the first initial call, I spoke to the owner (I believe) and he spoke of how he prided himself with always answering calls, texts, etc and that he believed that is what had been a great reason his business had bloomed. He said he was unable to look at his schedule at that moment, and asked me to send him my pup's info, names, weight, breed etc and he'd get back with me ASAP with appt options. It took me several days to ever get a response back and only then did I get a response when I messaged with a disappointing opinion. Someone did apologize and we were able to move forward with scheduling an appt. I would schedule their next appts each time they came out for grooming. Sadly, I had to cancel their last appt due to a terrible stomach bug, and asked to reschedule. (my pups received their grooms at my place of business for I don't live in their service area). It was replied that at the moment they were short a groomer, and down a vehicle. and was not given the opportunity to get on schedule. I reached out 2 more times requesting to be scheduled with no response yet again. The last time I reached out was to inform them that I would no longer be using their services and told them why. Again, with a negative message sent, I again then received a response stating they were sorry I felt as I did.. I simple feel it's very unprofessional way to conduct business. read more

Set up an appointment that was convenient for me and he texted me the day before to remind me of the appointment and texted me when he was on the way.
