This store is devoted to the color purple. Everything for sale is purple. The showroom for what merchandise they sell is relatively small but there is lots of diversity in items that are obviously...purple. There were some very nice men's shirts, Christmas ornaments and pots and pans that were very striking in this shade. Some merchandise is totally random, perhaps for the sake that it too is purple. It is an interesting stop to make if you are in Phinney Ridge but I did not find anything that I could not live without. Staff is very congenial. read more

What a great store, everything purple. They also offer luggage storage for those visiting and needing a place to store their luggage before heading to their flights. I didn't even have to purchase anything. The fee for storage luggage is minimal compared to dragging your bags all over Pikes Market. What a great service. My daughter and I were visiting Seattle, her from TX and me from VA. We were walking to the Market and passed the Store. We just had to go in and check out all the purple items. She is a purple freak, purple bedroom, purple bathroom, purple living room rug and soon to have her purple sofa delivered. You get the picture! This store is amazing for people that just need to have Purple in their lives. She purchased several items and I purchased a purple card to send to a purple person in Long Island, NY and enclosed a business card, which was purple, of course. Horrible experience with the purple store, I placed an order. Realized there was three items I never received. I was told it was coming in a separate shipment, however four months later I never received my items that I paid for. Never received a refund. The management at the purple store seem to blame FedEx, Which was ridiculous. The items was never pack or sent to me ... My family loves the color purple and we have been meaning to get to the store for awhile now. Parking was a little tough but once we walked in, my eyes lit up like I was on the strip at Vegas! Pure purple heaven! The lady working there was very friendly and accommodating to everyone in the store and was a very comfortable atmosphere. I rarely make reviews but this is important to bring up. One of our favourite places to visit when we come to Seattle is the Purple Store because its my favourite colour! However, when we visited the store this time (Jan 11, 2020 around 2:40 pm) it was one of the worst retail experience in our lives!! When we entered the store to browse around, Jada (lady with long black braids and glasses) within 2 minutes was in our face by asking what I (completely ignoring my friend) was looking for. As soon as I saw a purple sweater I wanted to purchase (picked it up to look at), she approached up so quickly and GAVE ME A LOT OF PRESSURE to follow her to try on different sweaters and tshirts I am not interested in (Jada was EXTREMELY PUSHY-ONE OF THE WORST SALES STAFF I encountered). My friend saw in my face that I was OVERWHELMED by Jada and he politely asked her two different times if we can just browse around, she ROLLED HER EYES and IGNORED him and continued to show me different items in the store (taking me around and also grabbing items from the store and forcing clothes for me to look at). When Jada pulled the clothes out to me (I was VERY DISTURBED by Jada) my friend defended me by requesting if we can browse (this was his 3rd attempt) Jada PLACED HER HAND IN FRONT OF HIM (like a stop sign) to silence him. For the 4th attempt from the help of my friend, that's when he was VERY ANNOYED with Jada as well, told her to BACK OFF with a angry glare (she FINALLY got the sign). At the end, the amazing experience I had at the Purple Store from my previous visit was ruined by Jada. I wasn't in my right mood to make a purchase that day anymore at the Purple Store even though I was planning to buy a purple sweater that day. read more

Quite fun to have a store devoted to the wonderful color purple. But their website is a disaster - I ordered what I thought were two different purple gel pens - they even had different SKU's / item numbers. But I got the same pen . I had to call and after a circular conversation with the clerk I found out that they are the same pen they just have a different slogan written on the side. Like I care about some slogan? I was hoping for two different types of pen. Someone needs to clarify their website descriptions. read more

After living in downtown Seattle for 2 years and walking by The Purple Store often, I finally stopped to check it out yesterday. My dad being in town, we went down to Pike to show him around. We were curious about the store so we walked in. When we walked in, we were not greeted but there was a lady working and behind the counter. Curious about the meaning or reasoning behind the store, my dad asked the lady working and her response was "just what it is. Does everything need a meaning?" As she walked away and went to the back room of the store. We felt so awkward and unwelcome. We decided to just walk back out because it was obvious she did not care to have our business or to welcome us in. Disappointing. We won't be back due to this. Being that I work in customer service, I hold other that do to a high standard. It's our job to make people feel welcome and you should WANT to do that. I can imagine she gets that question often- I hope she takes time to learn the story behind the store that is shared on the website and share that with future customers. read more

We had a hard time finding the Purple Store. It's nothing like the web site pictures. It's in a run down warehouse with 3 little rooms you can look at stuff. Other than the tee shirts you felt like you were in a Goodwill second hand store. Save gas and money order on line from them. read more

You can't get any more perfect than a store that sells only PURPLE items for every member of the family and room in the home! Or so I thought. And then I found out they also have super fast and responsive customer service!! This is a major quality since true customer service is becoming harder to find in this day and age! The shipping was fast and did not cost an arm and a leg like most companies like to charge us Alaskans to ship anything up here! This store not only replied within 5 minutes of me sending my question, they had researched the issue, included all pertinent information, and did so without some standard form letter response.
