    Tonight's entertainment!

Off of Market near downtown Riverside is a pretty cool little consignment store with kind of a secret. But I'll get into that later. Are you looking for locally crafted art? Clothing? Jewelry? Well the Raincross District might just be what you're looking for. The Raincross District is a large space that's chock full of vendors and let me tell ya. Every inch of that place is used. There's lots of cool handmade stuff and plenty of gently used clothing so it's a mix of new and old. I'm not real wise to pricing but you're supporting small businesses when you buy. Oh yeah. The secret? Wellll it might not be a secret to some but they've been holding punk and hardcore shows for a while now. There's a space in the back and they've had some great acts come through. I've been here more for this than shopping lol. With us losing venues every year I'm glad there's a place like this that steps up. So if you want to check out locally crafted goods, support small business or see a show check out the Raincross District. They also have large vendor markets so there's even more to see and choose from on these days. Check out their IG for details. Highly recommended! Ha! After I posted this review I found out this place doesn't hold all ages shows anymore cuz kids got hurt at a hardcore show. Well. That stinks.

The Raincross District store in downtown Riverside is a fun little treasure trove of individual vendors, mostly selling vintage and secondhand clothes but with a few surprises mixed in like handmade soap, jewelry, and other odds and ends. It feels a bit like stepping into a well-organized thrift market with personality, and every corner has something different to browse. If you like digging through racks for that perfect retro find or picking up a unique gift, it's definitely worth a visit. It's casual, quirky, and a nice reminder that shopping doesn't have to be boring. The location near Food Lab also can't be beat!

Wow, what a great thrift store! I will admit, I don't frequently hit thrift stores. When my friend suggested we walk over to this one, I was down for that idea. It is located right across from the food lab. A perfect walk after dinner. It's bigger than I thought. The thrift store just goes and goes. They have some cool things. I found a tank top and Nike t-shirt. My husband found a North face jacket. Pretty good finds! Thrift stores are always based on what happens to be there. And we got lucky those finds were there! I found a couple shirts that were not in my size. Bummer there! My friend said he goes all the time and they usually have some good things. Awesome. Prices were reasonable.

Dope art, dope clothing items, candles and accessories. Curation: 10/10 Customer service: 10/10 PRICE RANGE: $$$ Everything is on the higher end in terms of pricing. However, They are UNIQUE items that are very cool and worth checking out!

Not your ordinary thrift but I love the concept of selling local! The hunt is finding the bargain which they have here but be ready to spend not in a budget here if you're going for Salvation or Goodwill hunt, you will need to fork out vintage pay here. I give a huge originality for the finds here, not what you will encounter in the typical indoctrinated chain. It will definitely be a one of a kind. I also love that it's just not clothing but also pottery, jewelry and Art! Shop, hunt and be able to also support your local artist and business.

Had to shop! Bought this shirt for $5!!!!!

Went to a cocktail making class in the back of the store. Super fun!!! After we did some shopping!! OMG!! So many cute and unique finds!!! Some items were really well priced!! Others a little more expensive and I couldn't justify buying them. BUT clean, cute and I did find a couple of things I couldn't leave without!! Pics attached! The dark floral was just $5 and the white shirt was $42. That was a bit more than I like to spend when thrift shopping. Most items in the store were between $20-$50 (at least the stuff I was looking at) I will definitely be back! Excellent service!! A must if you are in the area!! I'll update next visit!! Sort of wish I would have grabbed a couple of more things I saw! Darn!!

One of the best places downtown to find something unique, do some yoga, listen to live music and shop local. The owner, Ana Brown has done an amazing job transforming this space to a place for community, art, healing and shopping. All of their vendors are local. They have handmade beauty products, handmade jewelry, vintage household items, eco conscious products, plants, art, vintage clothes children's items and more. They have one of a kind Riverside items like Raincross art, souvenirs and gifts from local makers if you're visiting from out of town or local and want to show your Riverside pride. It's also pet friendly if you're visiting with your furry friends!

    Special event at RD

The lady that said she didn't shoplift probably did, (there are plenty of cameras) and is more upset about getting caught than anything else. If you're not stealing then this is a fantastic place to shop, with good energy and honest people selling their things. It may be pricey but you're paying for a more selective and quality repurposing experience. Save the planet and small businesses one visit at a time!

The area is really beautiful, with lots of gorgeous historical buildings. I arrived a early, and was able to find a handicap parking spot right on the corner near the theater. Parking can be a challenge , but there are some lots in the area to provide extra parking. I ran into some people that I had met at previous concerts, and we chatted while we waited for the doors to open. The entrance and the box office are up a flight of stairs, so the ADA entrance is an elevator to the left side near the stairs. We waited here, and they escorted us up to the checkin area just before the general crowd was admitted. The theater is beautiful, with seating on the main floor at the back and in the balcony. We were in the ADA section on the right side. It's not raised, so you do have a little bit of a blocked view of the stage. Sound and lighting were great, which is good because some older venues have issues with the sound especially. I really the Nothing More show, and the openers were good too, which is a bonus. There is one small concessions on the concert level. Everything else is downstairs on the ground floor. Restrooms, larger bar, and merch for concerts are all here. ADA access is from that same entrance elevator on the left side, and there's a hidden women's restroom near the elevator. I will definitely be back, when there's an important show that's worth the trip to Riverside.

The space is large, but one thing that stands out is how dusty the theater seating is. It's visibly noticeable, even in the dark. The building is pretty on the outside, and it's not bad inside. They don't have their own parking area so you have to park at one of the many different businesses nearby, or the parking garage behind the Mission Inn.

There is a built in bar & dance floor as well. They're both so nice! I will provide as much pictures as I can so you can see how beautiful it is. I 100% recommend this venue!! I would LOVE to book here again for other special events. Also I have a tip: invest in a GOOD experienced photographer. There are beautiful areas to take pictures both inside and outside so make sure you take advantage and don't pass them up. My photographer was a lady named Marlyn and she had creative ideas! I first booked this venue for my organization in October, paying for the deposit to secure my date. The event was to be held late May. The first red flag was that there was NO proper contract given to us despite us requesting for one. Naomi, the manager in charge, told my team that she would provide one but never did. I paid for the deposit, $2,500, the only thing defined as non-refundable, despite the fact there was no contract because she emphasized our date will be taken if we are not quick. We paid and chose to have faith that she will provide one shortly. Several months later, when it was time to complete payment, we were informed for the first time that outside catering was no longer allowed and that we would be required to use the venue's catering services. This added over $3,000+ in unexpected costs that had not been communicated earlier in the planning process. At that point, we were also told full payment had to be made immediately or we lose the venue. Because it was too late to realistically find another location, we were pressured to hurry and proceeded to pay a total of nearly $7,000 that day. To make matters worst, abruptly, a week later our event had to be canceled. I called her, asking if there was any chance I could get a partial refund. She told me it wouldn't be possible, I will be getting nothing back. I reminded her that there was no contract or policies in this regard. She then began bringing up her "legal team." I asked if I could atleast talk to them or see any written evidence. She laughed and told me that it costs over $500 just to speak to them, so no I wouldn't be allowed to talk to them. She told me I would need to get a legal team if I want to take this further, in which I do not hold these luxuries. I thought I could maybe get refunded for atleast the food because the event didn't happen. I texted her if this was posssible, if there's any further information I could provide, and if I could get a proper receipt of all my payments because that was never given either. All I got in response to this was to "email her our texts in regards to the cancellations." I had to text her several times to see if there was any updates after I emailed her. She finally responds and tells me to wait till the end of the week and I will get a response. She did not send me a response. I waited until the following Monday to ask again and she requests to call me. As I enter the call, I hear her laughing to her co-workers and when she sees I've picked up she tells me "Yeah no, we will not be giving you a refund." She then proceeds to remind me that it should've been earlier and that because of us she missed out on a $20,000 opportunity with a hospital and several other opportunities that could've been utilized over us and that's why she can't give us a refund. Because she missed out on more money opportunities. I end the call because I understood I was never going to get anything back. I simply asked for my receipt once more which her co-worker sends the next day. Funnily enough, there's a discloser at the bottom of the receipt talking about their policy on how "all bookings are final and we maintain a strict no-cancellation policy." Yet she couldn't send me this before? They most likely added it after this whole ordeal. We regretfully lost almost $10,000 in the process of working with her. I understand that there are rules and policies. However, I would've been a lot more understanding if this venue at least had a heart and act understanding towards our situation when talking to me. Without a single apology, without any empathy, throughout this whole process I was constantly belittled and reminded that she could've earned more if it weren't for us. If you want a place that will actually care about you and see you as more than just a paycheck, please consider other options as there are plenty of other lovely venues around Riverside.
