I've both stayed here as a client and photographed couples here for weddings. There's rooms and casitas, and I definitely think the latter is better. The rooms are fine enough, just a bit dated and the wifi isn't great. That's only a concern since I sometimes work from the park, but hopefully people don't need it! As a plus, it's centrally located and has a general store with great milkshakes.

    Beautiful oasis in the desert.

It was pretty awesome to see an oasis in the desert. The museum was very cool seeing the history of the 20-mule team in the valley. The gift shop was huge with lots of neat merchandise. The ice cream parlor was refreshing, but I wasn't going to pay $16 for a milkshake...that definitely seemed like a mirage. I inquired about the room rates too for future stays, and those also seemed like a mirage. I think the 106 heat must've gone to my head that day.

Pros: Close to Furnace Creek visitor center and most popular attractions Good parking Beautiful grounds with nice views Lovely patio Took advantage of 20% seasonal discount, but could only stay Wed/Thur. since Friday and weekend was blackout Cons: Front staff was standoffish at check in Spring fed pool was still pretty chilly even though it was touted to be 87 degrees Did not love the dining options - all overpriced for sub-par food Pro tip: Lots of amenities on site - General Store, ice cream parlor, place to rent bikes, but these are overpriced. Buy some groceries if you happen to pass through Pahrump and save yourself some money. You can also get reasonably priced souvenirs at the nearby visitor center.

We recently stayed at The Ranch at Death Valley for three nights. Overall, the facility was nice and met expectations. The rooms were exactly as advertised and we had no issues with cleanliness or comfort. One area for improvement is housekeeping and trash management. There was no maid service during our stay. That may have been disclosed, but if so, it was not obvious. Because of that, the rooms could really use larger garbage cans or clearer locations around the property where guests can dispose of trash. Dining was average. The main issue was limited availability of options at the same time. On our first night, we arrived at the buffet just before closing. While I understand it was near the end of service, we paid full price and found very few food options remaining. The drink station had already been shut down, and staff were directing guests on where to sit in a way that felt rushed. In that situation, it would have been better to stop seating guests rather than provide a diminished experience. It left a poor first impression. We did return for breakfast twice and one additional dinner. The food was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. The pool was great in the evenings. During the day, it felt overcrowded with limited seating. It seemed like many chairs were being held but not actively used. That may not be something the hotel can fully control, but it did impact the experience. Overall, a solid stay with a great location, but there are a few operational details that could be improved to make the experience better.

I stayed here for the Death Valley Marathon. The daily room rates were on the expensive side, but really couldn't beat the convenience with the start/finish line on the edge of the premises! The rooms weren't fancy at all, very similar to a Days Inn or Super 8. I found everything in my room to be clean and in good working condition. Parking was plentiful. The people working at the front desk were all very nice and friendly. There was a Tesla Destination Charger in case you need to charge your vehicle.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Death Valley National Park and spend 2 nights at The Ranch. The Ranch and its sister property, The Inn at Death Valley, are the only sleeping beds in the Park/Valley. You pay a premium for this exclusivity but it was worth it to be able to go into the Park early or stay out late to enjoy the nature. There are 9 buildings of 2 story hotel rooms at the Ranch. We had a King bed room which was spacious enough with a mini fridge and coffee/tea maker in room. The bathroom had a separate sink with a full sized shower/bathtub. There was a small concrete patio outside the room which you could look out onto a lawn and across the another 2-store unit. The walls/ceiling allowed noise from other guests in adjoining rooms. Staff were friendly and there was plenty of parking. Due to being the only lodging and restraints in the Park/Valley we found dinner had a long wait in the Oasis restaurants - we picked up some food in the onsite grocery and enjoyed a meal in our room. There was also an outdoor pool which is said to be heated by s spring but our one attempt there the water was too cool to enjoy a dip. We did also have access to the pool at "The Inn" which we enjoyed the next day along with a good many other guests.

Fantastic cottage with living room and king bed two tvs

The room is great a king bed and a shower only in the bathroom no tub!! A living room with a fan and tv! A fan and tv in the bedroom as well! To day we drove awhile looking at some sights! We ate dinner at 5:30 and the food was great! I ordered the salmon which came with baby white roasted potatoes and some French green beans! My wife only wanted the wedge salad and the dressing was a killer! Day one is done and looking up in the sky at as many stars as you can is the perfect ending! Day 2 tomorrow lots of driving!

I wish I could give zero stars for this place - if it werent for Death Valley NP, I wouldnt be staying at this place. We took 2 rooms, one queen and one deluxe queen. All together, it cost us $1000 just for one night. As soon as I got off from my car, I smelled Sewer outside the room, I thought I mistook that smell for something else, but No, thats what permeated throughout that area. As soon I as entered the room, it smelled like feces, but then I traveled for hours to visit, I didnt have the energy nor the patience to deal with the condescending, rude front desk. They know that there is no other property around these parts, so they just decide to behave however they want, lead by their manager, who, I am sure is speard heading the beautiful culture. The facility has lights everywhere, for a place which is in the middle of dark place, taking away any chance to witness the beautiful night sky. The front desk was rude when I asked for extra coffee and sugar and hungup on me when I said Thanks! Its kinda sad that this place had a great opportunity to be one of the great spots, providing value and wonderful experience to their customers, instead they chose to be "monopolists" subjecting whatever they think is a fair treatment to their patrons. I hope there is someone fair at Xantarra who notices my review and acts on it. you being the sole provider of hospitality in this NP doesnt mean you can be a jerk to your customers.

This place has not been disappointed to me, even when the line to check in was long and painful to wait for my turn. The Ranch is well kept and clean. The staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. This is definitely a place to stay when you are in the Desert! Be sure to book the cottage! You will have a better rested nights and enjoy the beautiful views!

We got seated and waited. Meanwhile, the table after us got seatedz got nebus. Bread, water, and their main dish before we even got a waiter. Everything stated below is being shared as alleged conduct based on what I personally witnessed, experienced, heard from others, or believe to be occurring. This post is protected opinion and free speech, and I encourage the appropriate authorities to investigate these allegations if necessary. In my opinion, this establishment allegedly operates under extremely questionable and unsafe conditions. I personally observed or heard repeated allegations involving rodents, poor sanitation, buffet food temperatures allegedly not being consistently checked, and management allegedly continuing operations during water outages and power failures instead of temporarily shutting down. It is also my opinion that the company allegedly prioritizes profit over safety. There were frequent concerns among employees regarding illnesses spreading around the workplace, and in my view, sanitation standards allegedly did not appear to be taken seriously enough considering the conditions employees and guests were exposed to. I also heard allegations that not all servers and bartenders allegedly possessed the proper food safety or alcohol service certifications that may be required. Employees allegedly raised concerns about training, workplace safety, and management practices on multiple occasions. Certain paintings and imagery displayed throughout the property personally made me uncomfortable and gave me what I would describe as cult-like vibes, although that is strictly my own personal opinion and interpretation. I also heard repeated allegations from employees and others about possible drug activity involving individuals around the property, including statements implying that if someone was "looking to get high," they allegedly would not have difficulty finding it there. I cannot independently verify every statement made by others, but these allegations contributed to what I personally viewed as an unsafe and unprofessional environment. There were also ongoing allegations involving underpayment of workers, paycheck issues, unsafe heat conditions, discrimination, breach of contract concerns, and employees allegedly being expected to work through conditions involving water outages, electrical issues, and extreme temperatures. Some employees and former employees also discussed allegations involving asbestos concerns within parts of the property, though I cannot independently confirm those claims and believe they should be professionally investigated if credible evidence exists. In my opinion, this was not a healthy or safe environment for workers or guests. Anyone visiting should allegedly be prepared for unsanitary conditions and should hopefully have a strong immune system because illnesses and viruses allegedly spread frequently throughout the workplace. I personally question why stronger investigations allegedly have not taken place already considering the number of concerns employees and former employees have discussed over time. I also believe workers should feel empowered to document unsafe conditions and report legitimate concerns to OSHA, labor boards, health departments, or other proper authorities without fear of retaliation. Again, these statements are allegations, opinions, concerns, interpretations, and personal observations being shared publicly under my right to free speech and should not be interpreted as established findings of fact unless officially confirmed by the appropriate authorities.

As is, Texas Springs "B" loop looks like a gravel parking lot for RV's, trailers, campers and tenters who do not want to stay in designated loop "A" which is for tents only. What's up with that tenters? The parking spaces are way too tight, worse in the Sunset campground down the hill. Fire pits are WAY WAY too close to trailers and so I do not want my Airstream catching fire or the inside smelling like smoke! What's up with that Death Valley Park Ranger? Would Smokey the Bear approve? I doubt it! However, in camp it is beautiful to look in all directions at the colorful geological formations--jaw dropping views! Since we spend very little time in the campground anyway, cuz we are off exploring the wildflower super bloom and hiking--I just need a place to park the 25 foot trailer to eat and sleep anyway. However, more space would make the whole camping outdoors so much more of a pleasurable and memorable experience, when I hang out in camp. There are no lights in the restrooms. Bring your own light. I am ok with that. After all we are outdoors camping. We get to enjoy the night sky without light pollution. You know Death Valley is designated a dark sky place for viewing the stars--I like that too! Let me continue to rant on ... How about some more spacious campgrounds--Mr. Superintendent, Mark Reynolds? My campground was full everyday of my stay! More campgrounds please. Give up some of the 3.4 million acres for something better than a gravel parking lot surrounded by spectacular views ... and more campers will come! So, I step down from my soap box ... I digress!
