I am a Sworn Deputy Sheriff in the state of California with a valid ID and badge. I asked the employee if I could see their selection of Sig Sauer P320 models and he told me he could not let me see the guns because it does not fall in line with their policy.......just to be clear I fall in line with 830.1 which gives me the ability to perform all the duties of a Peace Officer of the state of California. This a great indoor range, they have gun rentals, ammo, paper targets and much much more. I was in here Saturday and the line was at the door with people wanting to buy guns, target shoot, buy membership, all the guys were working there butts off. One guy was so rude to the employee working behind the counter he thought he should not have to wait his turn like the rest of us, the employee keep Apologizing and tried to help him. I went to this range to complete my firearm safety training and passed the training. I was given a paper certificate. When I called back months later to continue to process of purchasing a firearm I was told they WOULD not look up my certificate. They said they were too busy and they wouldn't take the time to look em up in their books. I asked them why they keep record of a someone who passed the safety test if they had no intention of looking the results up again in the future. I was told they have plenty of customer and are busy everyday and If I didnt like it I could go somewhere else. I was then hung up on. I guess they are so busy and successful they dont need to provide customer service anymore. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Went in looking to buy ammo about 45 mins prior to closing time . An older Asian guy putting the display guns away, looked at me like he doesn't want to help but asked anyway what I needed, then directed me to the area where the ammunitions are. He took a box of home defense rounds and told me how much it was. I asked if they have something cheaper as I plan to use them on the range. This is where it got strange. He said" are you kidding me? Why don't you f#%* off? " I thought he might have heard me say something offensive so I repeated to ask the same question. He blurted out loud so everyone in there could here "this guy is asking if there is something less expensive". So he did hear what I said. I asked if there was something wrong with what I said. He told me to f#% off and leave. Still in disbelief, I wasn't moving. He said he's going to call the police and have me trespassing. He started charging at me, and said "we can also take this outside ". I honestly thought I was in twilight zone and just left. And then I saw a review about a similar incident that happened, with the same description of a man. This guy is obviously not there mentally. I'm just wondering why they would allow him to work in a gun place. Dangerous! read more

I loved The Range until this whole ammo shortage situation happened. I know you pay a bit more for the range but I feel they used to be able to offer a lot more service to make up for it. As a member in 2012 I felt they did a great job and were a great place to shoot...however after I renewed in 2013 and all things fell apart. I believe that if I buy a gun from you, I am a member there should be no reason why you cannot sell ammo to me to shoot in your facility. But they felt differently. Because of ammo shortages they make members who buy guns from them find scarce ammo elsewhere just to shoot in their facility. It is really irritating to say the least! I will not be renewing membership there next year. read more

Ok let start off by saying that the prices for a firearm are just slightly higher than msrp on most of the ones they have. Still I would consider fair. One thing I give them credit for is they have a type of layaway plan. You put 25% down on the total cost of the gun but have 30 days to pay the remainder at YOUR convenience. You can't take the gun with you until the amount is paid in full for obvious reasons. Not everyone can afford to plop down 500-700 for a quality gun so this helps people who need to purchase one at their own pace. I am a member and have gone when the place was packed but they keep two lanes open for members only so I cut right ahead. People complained of the ammo prices. Yes they are very expensive but the idea at this establishment is to sell firearms, educate people with training or classes, and give people a chance to try a gun out before they make a big purchase. I have also taken my CCW class which was a very helpful one pertaining to CA laws. Also want to note they have a big selection on accessories and firearms. Tuesday nights ladies shoot for free. Update 10/25/17 Took a class recently and I was blown away from the last one I did with them... the service was still excellent. What was different this time was how much more interactive it was. We did a scenario simulator and a quick draw and fire training (air soft guns). It really helped put things into more perspective. I will be taking another class soon. Give them a try. Went here on a recommendation. Took a CCW class last Sat. Fantastic instructors and facilities. Incredibly professional and sober about the subject matter and safety requirements, yet friendly and fun when it comes to stories about their experiences and the actual on-range instruction. Ken and Will are wonderful. Update--went back on 1/1/08. Still love this place. I am just getting into shooting and the employees are helpful and respectful about different knowledge levels. This was a great place to go shoot, especially for your first time! There was first timers there as well as people who own their own guns and some that are even concealed to carry. The staff was very helpful when helping you picking out the guns to shoot. You're allowed to switch between different guns. They offer classes for individuals and groups that want more one on one help but there is someone in there to help at all times. This is the worst range I have ever had an experience with...I`m an instructor of personal defense and firearms. I`ve had relationships with ranges all over the country...and this is the worst I`ve ever seen. The general attitude flows directly from the ownership...and yes I have met and had discussions with the owner. The attitude is they are not interested in the support & development of our shooting sports...Money is the only driving factor...when questions are asked or help is needed the answer is always "you need another class"...and another and another...This place is the only range in Fresno, so the owner believes he has a monopoly on all the shooters in the area. Independent instructors in the area will (from my un-scientific survey...) will not use this range, partially because they are not even remotely welcome and the staff is overtly hostile if it is discovered they are instructors. The fact that they bring business into the business is not appreciated so it has been made clear if they can`t have a piece of the instructors business on a larger scale, they don`t want them...even if the instructorw students are buying ammo, renting range time, renting & buying guns...I suggest you find an alternative...it may seem handy but know you are paying a price that may not always be visible. I come to Fresno to visit often and wasn't sure where to go for shooting since I'm from out of town and I found this place passing through and the location piqued my interest being there's a 511 store next door and the CHP across the street so I wanted to check it out and today I did just that. I gave 4 stars because they don't allow .223 or larger it's basically a pistol range so I had to leave my AR in the truck but the lanes are decent they use tape here to hold your targets which I think is smarter than clips and had no problem with it and the ammo for .40 was 25/50 they don't sell reloads here which isn't cost effective for us the consumer but it's better for our pistols. They do have WiFi here however it doesn't work well in the range area... the place is small but straight to the point. Today I was given courtesy and a guest pass what a welcome thanks Hector! Just became a member recently and I've been her twice already. Tried out about 6 guns so far. Buying my first gun soon and I might even get it from this place, because I looked all over town and their gun prices aren't that high. Definitely going to stay a member for a long time. Workers there are definitely helpful. Fast services even when there's a lot of people. When you rent a gun you have to use the bullets they give you (meaning you're paying for it) so it'll be like $28 for 50 bullets etc. That's one of the reason I am going to buy a gun and buy cheaper bullets. I understand why they do this tho, because they don't want other people bullets to be jamming their guns etc. could cause problem for both party etc. Overall, a great place for anyone that's looking for a gun range. read more

I've been a member for a couple of years, i ordered a gun from gun gallery to be sent there and all the staff are excellent except this new guy that they have of the two staff helped that helped me, their was one that i asked about the tracking from fedex said i have 2 boxes so i asked what the other package was it might be in my mind but he really didn't like that question . i had a look at my gun someone was messing with it because the plastic piece in the barrel chamber was taken out and the inside of case was messy but their was no stickers on it at the time also i had to get my id license with a federal compliant seal on it no big deal. i did it and came back for the paper work 2 weeks later and when he took out my gun it had stickers all over the wood stock and i tried to take it off and the whole grip was stuck with sticky paper i could'nt get off of it the other salesmen that did my paper work he's good but he said "what you don't like stickers on it". i shook my head. i ordered alot of guns and gun gallery is great. so is the range staff but i wish they wouldnt put warning stickers on my beautiful wood stock i'm mad about that. also the ventilation sucks. read more

First impressions are everything Bob. My husband and I walked in to inquire about the DOJ Handgun Safety Test. My husband introduced himself to Bob and told him we were interested in taking the test. We were in the market for 2 handguns. Bob proceeded to tell us that those tests were reserved for our customers. WTF were we Bob. He spoke to Bob about a certain gun we were interested in and he said, "that gun is not sold here because it will not be on the DOJ roster and The Range is owned by a lawyer and everything is on the up and up". Good range, well maintained. People are very cool and condition of range and the options to rent are fabulous too. They also offer a discounted CCW class for members, 3 times a week. Also have a nice lounge area, complimentary coffee and water, and they give members 2 free targets with each visit. The fees were very reasonable for a membership, and they give you guest passes for bringing a friend, and ladies shoot free on Tuesday night. Worth the drive from where I live in Clovis. read more
