He gave me some really good insight on what optics to go for, letting me know what he runs on his and personal experience with warranty claims. He didn't rush me, answering all my questions honestly and objectively. Mark helped me with the purchase of the optic and let me put my options on their plastic show gun, as well as up against the model I was planning to put it on. It really allowed me to finalize my decision. He also gave me his personal perspective and preferences, letting me to see things from different angles. I was lucky enough to get the advertised clearance price on their last available optic too. It came with the original box and all accompanying accessories. Thanks a lot guys!! The property is large and mostly outdoors. They do have a small indoor range area that reminded me of a gym, but, I prefer the outdoor archery range over indoor. They do have more info on their website if you're interested in becoming a member. I'm thinking of joining this summer and their fees seem reasonable. They do offer two kinds of memberships. First is a working member, helping with range upkeep and tournaments as payment. Option two is an associate member, paying a fee for unlimited use of the range.

My youngest wanted to take a lesson here for her birthday. This was actually our second time here…read moreas my oldest wanted to come here for her birthday several years ago. They usually have offerings on Groupon for savings, however, it's also easy to book online from their website and pay directly. Ian was our instructor and he did an excellent job. He was very patient with us and definitely knows his stuff! The lesson started with basic safety and then proceeded to technique. He helped my youngest out by letting her try several different bows to make sure she was comfortable. I was pretty rusty, but ended up hitting the bullseye a couple of times. They usually do a round where you blow up a balloon and try to pop it with the arrow, but they were out of balloons this time. As a result, Ian created a challenge for us where whoever hit the bullseye, or closest to it, would win a Riverside Archery sticker. Surprisingly enough, on the last round, I ended up victorious and the proud owner of the sticker! Yay! They have open lanes for practice at certain times of the day and you can rent the equipment from them as well. Awesome facility and super fun activity! Highly recommend Riverside Archery!

They've been in business for 25 years and know what's what when it comes to the bow and arrow! Having not practiced this ancient sport for many years, my expectations were low coming in, but I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. The rules were straightforward and shooting the bow was simple and fairly easy. The aiming part wasn't as easy... but I definitely improved by the end of the two hours! The team working there helped out with general instructions and pointers as well were all shooting. People started "getting it" about an hour in and balloons on the targets started popping pretty regularly. I finally got one right at the end! It was also pretty cool to see some of the more serious semi-pro type of archers there with their hardcore bows and compound bow setups. Overall this is a unique experience and worth a go if you're looking for a fun activity. They also have lessons and it's good for older kids. Five stars!

Spacious and built with a second floor to handle corporate events and a backroom with a couple of archery courses, Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing is more than just an axe throwing venue - it was also decorated for the Halloween season and had a giant Viking chair and giant semi-animatronic dog for a photo op! It goes without saying my enthusiasm for this place means if you want to learn and do axe throwing I definitely think this is the place you should go to. Chris, the owner was incredibly nice and easy to talk to and showed us the basics of axe throwing posture, safety, and etiquette, as well as what the different size axes, ninja stars, and shovels (yes you read that right) could do. Since it was my birthday, he also gifted us an additional half hour, which I really needed as I quickly found out I was pretty terrible at axe throwing. My wife, however, bested me in 9 games (probably more) as we axed our way out of some zombie themed levels. She had some really clean axe throws at those zombie heads - I now know when the zombie apocalypse comes, I married the right person.

Since it was our first experience with ax throwing, we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was! The cost was $30 per person, which felt like a great value for the experience. He asked which eye was dominant, and I assumed it would be my right since I'm right-handed but it turned out to be my left! I had never held a bow before, and he got me set up with a left-handed bow to try. I loved it. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so fun and welcoming. I can't wait to get my own bow and come back to use the indoor range. I also found the cutest shirt while I was there. The shop itself is really neat, and I loved walking around seeing all the taxidermy from his hunts. Highly recommend checking this place out!
