DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! I was forced to give them one star, but they do not deserve that! We booked them for a trip to the airport on December 29th 2013 at 5:30 AM. I began trying to reach them at 5:31 when they did not show up. The mailbox was 'full', and no one was answering. We tried for 30 minutes, when my in-laws- 76 and 81- were forced to drive us to the airport. I continued to try to reach them until we lifted off, and even between flights. No response. When my mother finally reached them (we were in the air on our second flight) the owner apologized, said an employee had disappeared, and we were not the only ones to miss their ride! She never contacted me, despite several messages by phone and email. All I have gotten from her is one rude response saying she has no record of our booking- really? as though I would make this up for fun. THEY ARE RUDE AND IRRESPONSIBLE in my experience. I would book the Limo service- they charge the same rate. I wish we had. read more

Dont Depend on them for a ride and have to go through my credit card company to get my $ back. Called and reserved a pickup in Reading to Philidelphia airport. 10 minutes before my pickup I rec'd a call telling me her vehicle was towed due to lack of inspection sticker. Told me she would refund my $ and hasn't. I have filed a complaint with the PA Public Utility Commission Form PUC-59 "Motor Carrier Complaint Form" Should have looked into company before paying her. She seems to make a habit of taking advantage of people. this forced me to give her one star read more

To anyone thinking of using THE READING EXPRESS SHUTTLE SERVICE, to or from any of the Eastern PA airports; DO NOT USE IT. I had scheduled them to pick me up at 4 am on Friday to the Philly Airport and to bring me home yesterday afternoon and they never showed. Having previously used the service I had not foreseen any problems. However Friday morning rolled around and no one showed and then again yesterday. I have called and left multiple messages, but have heard nothing. Luckily I was able to find other transportation both times. The real kicker is that they also pre-charged my credit card. Service has gone down hill since I last used the service, to say the least. read more

I waited to be picked up at 3:45 in the morning, but no one ever came. The driver finally texted me that she and her partner were too upset by their dog's passing to leave one another to come to get me. She told me to call a cab to come get me, but I had already paid them the money to take me to the airport; I didn't want to pay a cab too. Three days prior to this, in fact, I had asked if I could cancel this pick-up, but they told me they could not refund my money. Well, apparently, they can't because they have yet to refund me for the pick-up they never made. They do not deserve to be in business!!! read more

This company charged us the fee prior to our arrival date and then left us stranded at the Philadelphia Airport! The driver never arrived and no one responded when we left messages. After waiting for an hour (from midnight to 1am), we were forced to rent a car. We left several messages regarding this situation and never received a return call. After several days, I finally "caught" the owner answering the phone. She said she would refund our money, but couldn't pay for the rental car since we chose another transportation option. I asked her what other option we had when we were stranded at the airport by her company. It has been nearly three weeks since the incident and we have yet to receive a refund. Yet again, I called the company seeking explanation. The owner replied that the refund is still "being processed". When I questioned her further she responded by cursing at me and then hanging up. read more

At one point and time this was a reliable company but has gone down hill. Would not recommend them to anyone. Left friends of mine stranded at the PHL airport- they had to rent a car. They also never came to pickup a 2nd group of friends trying to leave Reading for PHL.. they ended up taking taxi at an unreal cost. They should not be trusted nor used. Thank you Reading Express!!!! I had a flight coming into Philadelphia, I couldnt find my luggage and I had scheduled a 11pm pick up with this company. I called the driver and let her know I couldnt find my luggage and this was my first flight in Philadelphia. I was completely lost!! The driver, who turned out to be the owner of the company parked her car and met me in the airport. She found me and helped me get to the lost luggage department and helped me through the long process to fill out the claim ticket. She waited there patiently and was very helpful to me. I will recommend this company to all my friends, family, and business associates!!!! read more

I STRONGLY suggest you walk home from the airport before using this service. NOT only where they 90 minutes late after numerous, I'll be there shortly text messages blaming it on the traffic; my private ride showed up with 3 other adult passengers in a CHEVY CRUZE. I had to ride home 90 minutes with my 50 # suitcase on my lap. (OR I would have had to leave it on the curb since there was no room in the car). The driver, the owner, NEVER apologized EVER. AND all they said they were going to give me was $20 refund for not having a private ride (WHICH I never got!). I have used them before and they were late, but this was pathetic. read more

Very unreliable service. If you are thinking about hiring this company, be sure to have a back up plan for transportation. Twice we were stood up by this company. The first time was because they miss-understood my wife AND miss-read my itinerary which was emailed to them. They made poor assumptions and tried to pick me up from the wrong airport leaving me stranded and scrambling at 1 am. After a week, they confirmed refund and I let it go because I should have realized the price was too low for wanting to be picked up in DC. The second time, my wife had a confirmation to be picked up at our home in Reading, and they never showed up. I had to cancel my plans and drive to Philadelphia with our 1 year old. We have called every day to no answer and the voice mail is always full. It has been a week since I had trouble with them and still they have not reached out to me to tell me they will refund me for a service that was not provided. I wish I could post negative stars because they would get them. I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked the service. I was holding off on this post hoping they would do right by I can see now they are not concerned about keeping the business going. I hired them for a 4 AM pick up for October 21st flight. They never showed. I had confirmed the day before. I had to change my flight and drive and pay for parking on top of what I had already paid them. Getting a refund has been like pulling teeth. They have a great concept but they do not know how to execute it. Now I have to go to VISA to get my money back. Do not use the service they will leave you stranded. read more
