The Superstore is a great place to shop, with all the other grocery stores around the city, this one has all of your basic needs when it comes to grocery, cleaning supplies, pharmacy and some kitchen appliances as well as kitchen necessitates. My boyfriend and I frequent here every week for our grocery shopping needs; the Superstore price matches competitor deals, and for people living on a budget, this saves you a lot of money each week. Their main brand President's Choice and No Name are a great alternative to the name brand items and cost significantly less, for the same exact thing. If I can't price match an item, I usually try and find the off name brand items instead. The Superstore is really good at keeping these items in stock as well. It's very easy to have a list out and price match from your phone. They also have the PC plus points program by itself or if you apply for the PC Mastercard, you can earn points everywhere you shop. They also have PC plus point deals in store if you buy a specific product. It can be very easy to add up the points and walk out with a free grocery trip if you save up enough. One of the many reasons I love shopping here is because of the PC Plus points adding up and the price matching which can save you money over the long term. When my boyfriend was a student, if you come on Tuesday's with a valid student card you'll get 10% off your entire purchase. This grocery store saves you money if you do it properly. Since this is a high end grocery store you can find more items in stock than in smaller stores such as Food Basics, No Frills, Valu Mart, FreshCo., etc. Some of our favourite items are the sundried tomatoes, President's Choice cookies, baby spinach and some unique deli meats. To RCS Walker road, The optical centre is extremely unprofessional! I booked an appointment for 1 pm and they told me, I would be receiving a text message regarding the appointment but I didn't receive it. I reached the wrong location because of that and I called at 1 pm to say that I can still make it to the location of scheduled appointment by 1:05 but they didn't entertain my request. On top of that, they had an empty slot for 2:30 pm and yet they didn't accommodate me. They were trying to make me feel guilty that I did a huge mistake by not coming on time and to the wrong location!! Is this how you treat customers? What would the first step be in customer Service? You would apologise for the inconvenience caused and schedule the next available slot. I am very disappointed by the staff and how they handled this situation. I think you need to train your staff better and not be lazy. Would never come to this location ever again. read more

As the main grocery store in town, The Real Canadian Superstore is a one-stop shopping adventure on Walker Road in the second outlying shopping district for Windsor. In shouting distance, you can find Lowe's, Canadian Tire, Costco, HomeSense, and even a Swiss Chalet for those who absolutely must get their greasy ribs and potatoes on. I still highly advise you don't. Aside from the fun that is Devonshire Mall for a "real Canadian" experience, Superstore -- as my family's called it for years -- basically functions as the real reason I go to Windsor. Tickled immigration officers at the border checkpoints shake their heads, especially on the American side, whenever I pull up. True story: I've had at least three basically wave my car through after finding out my main reason for spending four hours in Windsor was purchasing ketchup chips and frozen pastry shells (tart-sized), which can't be found anywhere in Michigan. Once you stop here for most of your needs, the results are several bags of junk food, teas, President's Choice brand sauces and cookies, and a story to tell whenever I come back through the Tunnel. Border guard: "You're the only person I've met who goes into Canada to shop." Me: "I need my comfort food, and it's straight to Superstore and Costco for me." Border guard: *snickers* Real Canadian Superstore is part of the Loblaw's chain, which means they have access to one of the best in-store brands anywhere: President's Choice. I've seen bidding wars over a bag of double chunk chocolate PC's cookies. Their cookie flavours are honestly something else: mango coconut? Sign me up. Raspberry tea cookie? I'm all over it. I am not a sweet tooth and PC cookies for some reason never come out super-saturated in sugar. I've given them out to American friends as Christmas and housewarming presents. When I give advance noticed, I'm inevitably three bags heavier to serve their needs. (Yeah, that's me, cookie hustler for President's Choice.) I found my newest crack here: diet blood orange pop. Seriously good stuff that is much cheaper than a certain Italian brand who shall not be named, and the diet lychee, pomegranate, and mango flavours made me a pop convert again. Dammit, see what this place does? This particular store is very large, divided into the pharmacy and clothing on the right side, the left devoted to produce and the bakery, and all the frozen and prepacked goods in the middle. Produce is typically higher in price than elsewhere, worth checking out Costco first. I don't bother with the meats either because they can't come back easily, but prices are competitive for Black Diamond cheese and frozen goods. I'm best familiar with the seasonal goods, the chips section -- with dozens of neat flavours beyond ketchup, like the tasty Greek, Moroccan Spice, Calgary barbeque, and ethnic variations from tandoori to cracked pepper -- and dry goods. They've got a nice variety of Asian cuisine and their Christmas options include a lot of rarer Italian snacks. A coupon wall the moment you walk in the door shaves costs off participating products. Upstairs is a women's-only gym and a cafeteria area to nosh on your purchases with a fine view of the shoppers and their giant carts below. They also have a small in-store wine shop that lures you after the checkouts with samples, a drycleaner, and banking services at the President's Choice credit union which is worth checking out - their rates are some of the best in Canada. read more

Great store to wander around. As others have said, its owned and by the same company that owns Zehrs, Loblaws, Fortino's, No-Frills (The Weston Family) and they carry President Choice Products....some of which are absolutely stellar. Huge selection, plenty of cashiers...it is fairly easy to get in and out of. Can be a bit pricy on some items...but quality is excellent. Great garden centre in the spring/early summer. read more

An awesome superstore that is a definite pit stop when I am in Windsor - I pick up my supply of President's Choice - The Decadent - Chocolate Chip Cookies. Only found in Canada (to my knowledge), these are probably the best commercial chocolate chip cookies around. Back to the store, it is well stocked, reasonably priced and really close to the border in case you need a quick fix for your choco chip cookie craving! Check them out! read more

I went to this location and decided to try to use the self-checkout for the first time. I am 63 years old so I am not the fastest person with this sort of thing. I needed to price-match some items and decided to ask a worker lady for some help. She appeared to be socializing with some other customers at the self-checkout while I waited there for about 5 minutes. I eventually interrupted and asked her for some help - to which she barked that I would "have to do it myself". Once I told her that I needed help with price-matching then she finally decided to help, but she continued to use a very rude tone after I accidentally pressed French instead of English. After helping me price-match she abruptly walked away to continue her apparent socializing - while I was still struggling to figure out how to self-checkout the rest of my groceries. I then noticed her hugging her friends as they left, and the whole ordeal cost me about a half an hour of time. All in all, the entire experience left me feeling abused and unwelcome as a customer. read more
