I figured, okay it's a Friday so things must be hectic. Over the weekend I saw that he had an online contact form so I filled that out and anxiously waited until noon on Monday with again no response. If he was too booked to do the job, I understand but what I don't understand is not having the courtesy to call to let me know that I should be looking for someone else. I was fortunate to find another company that was prompt, professional, and fairly priced so my issue has now been corrected.

This was a $130 bill for less than a half an hour. My pilot light continued to not stay on so I called Bob and asked him if he'd check the thermacouple. He said no need since it lit. I went to the hardware store and bought a new one for $12 installed it less than half an hour in my water heater works fine now. I'm concerned about his thoroughness and his suggestion that I just replaced the water heater.

Although our insurance company responded quickly to review our claim with their contract adjusters, it was up to us to find a repair contractor. We had the genuine pleasure of interviewing and later working with a great family owned and operated construction company named BuiltWright Homes. During their own estimate of the damage to our home and shop, they not only confirmed the original damage, they found (and showed us) additional damage missed by the original insurance adjuster. We had initial difficulty working with our insurance and mortgage company's bureaucracy. Fortunately for us, BuiltWright Homes is extremely familiar with insurance and mortgage company requirements including a desire for photographs of additional damage. Kolin Cash took over that paper work nightmare and started working electronically via email (including photos) with the insurance and mortgage company and virtually erased our lack of understanding of the insurance and mortgage company requirements. Kolin, Chad (and their family) were true professional representatives not only of their company but also of the construction industry in general. The entire Wright family and their supporting construction staff treated us with outstanding respect and always met our personal needs throughout the entire process of repairs. My specific area that I am currently wanting to slice my wrists over is the plumbers in this town. Hawley plumbing has pushed my job aside for bigger and higher paying jobs. Then they call me with a bull crap excuse about how they are just "too busy". Um, I run my own business and the words "too busy" aren't in my vocabulary. If you're too busy, just say it. Don't lie to me and make me sit and wait for another 3 weeks to month. Just a thought, but why don't these companies hire other workers? Why don't they train, hire and get more jobs done. Help the economy of this town for Christ sake, and hire people who NEED JOBS!!!! It blows my mind how these contractors think that by lying to their customers is in fact going to help them with future business. More work means more money...or did I miss this part in business 101?? I come from the city where local businesses actually have competition and jump at any opportunity for another job. Where word of mouth is just as important as it is here. And this is not just "my" problem. I have talked to several other families here in Powell looking for heating fixes before the winter hits and they are all pushed aside for these bigger more extravagant homes that pay more.
