If I could do negative reviews I would. This is not a place women are safe or should go to..... wink wink there are other bars in the square owned by the same person. There are things going on in these bars that is heavily not okay and they are getting away with it. The hospitals, doctors, investigators, and the city is all aware of these issues and they won't do anything about it. If you are a women stay away from this bar if you want to remember your night and wake up in the morning and see your bank account as charges you only payed for. Do better. Usually I have a great time, This time, the piece of shit bouncer decided to throw me to the ground when I was leaving. To give context, my girl and I are talking to the bartender, and the bounce grabs my shoulders and throws me to the ground telling me that im not leaving yet. I tried to explain to him that I am closing out but he proceed to shove me to the ground and yell that I am not leaving. This man gave didn't listen to a single word I said and forced me out of the door.There was no reason to force me out of the building. I informed him that I was leaving, and had no issue that the bar was closing. I stopped by last night. The floors were sticky as glue... so much that you had to apply force to move your feet. This place is what you'd call the typical club for college goers. I am in my 30s so the crowd here doesn't mesh with people of my age. However, I did notice the more mature crowd hanging out at the bar and the younger crowd near the bathroom and closer to the dance floor. The music was pretty good. So many drunk patrons who could barely hold their composure. I don't think there's a dress code for this establishment. Guys were dressed in caps, hoodies, sneakers, etc. There was a long line for the women's restroom. The toilets take up 90% of the stalls. Three toilets for the entire female portion of the club. I've been to Fort Collins before and never heard of this place. I guess it's because I hang with the dirty 30 crowd. Drinks are cheap and strong - and I'm not complaining about that at all. Perhaps that's why the patrons look like they can barely keep their eyes open. This is a pretty big venue. There are several bars. I was unaware that Ft Collins had a club of this size. Not bad for a small town. I felt like I was one of the smallest people in the room. I'm 5'3 and everyone seemed 6'0! If you're into the college crowd, this is definitely the place for you. I did enjoy myself being that I was with my friend and her friend. I wouldn't mind returning here once in a blue moon but definitely not frequently. read more

The pungent smell of human vomit is so overwhelming and vile that my eyes were watering the whole time but I was reassured by a regular it's just something "you have to get used to". If you don't want to be groped by staff DO NOT COME HERE. My friends and I had troubles with the bouncers coming in, they harassed the guys in our group barely letting them in because they had black pants on. Once inside the floor was stickier than a child at Chuck E. Cheese. When it came to shots they were priced higher than a jet plane and us girls got extra which was cool at first until staff kept trying to feel us up. Our guys got served cola shots instead of alcohol and were all pretty sure we saw a few teens in there. Wow. I can't believe how many people agree with me about this place. Yes, the floors are disgustingly sticky. It's hard to dance with your shoes stuck to the floor. I don't think they've ever cleaned them. Yes, the employees are rude. I'll add two more things: (1) Mixed drinks are very watered down or maybe they don't pour enough liquor in them. I need twice as many for the same effect. Rip off! (2) The DJs aren't very good. But...we don't have a lot of options in FoCo, unfortunately. One of the men in my group was called a homophobic slur, and after consistent shoving by the one who started it all, my friends got kicked out. The bouncers did not try to diffuse the situation at all, and kicked out only the queer presenting people. I got turned away for being in a costume for the Tour de Fat event, but the guy behind me, who was dark skinned and nicely dressed was turned away FOR WEARING RED PANTS!!!! I have been going to Rec room every week for 2 months as an international student. Last night, I had a RACIST incident with the security. He asked for my passport even I gave him my national ID and national driving license. Then he suggested that he could not let me in without a passport. Then another British International student suggested that she did not bring her passport either and gave him her driving license. He said it is fine because she is from Europe. We were all like "WTF?!" and thanks to other European students, we were able to give him a geography lesson that Turkey is in fact located in Europe. So he had no other choice to let me in. tonight was my friends 21st birthday. we were having a great night and decided to head to Rec room. we had a few drinks at other bars but we're only just beginning our night. my friend is blind and deaf in one of his ears. rec room employees kicked us out because my friend was "too drunk" although he was completely fine and only appeared drunk because of his disabilities. even after telling the employees that he only looked that way because he is blind and deaf, they did not care and kicked us out. IT WAS HIS 21st BIRTHDAY. He actually cried and it ruined all of our nights as we had to head home. really sad that a college bar is so not accepting of people with disabilities. This club is extremely racist. I don't usually go there because of the extremely long line and their (alleged) bad reputation but I went there after work to join a friend who was already in. I stood in this long line behind a biracial couple, a white girl and a black man. After about 30 minutes in line, it was our turn to get in. The bouncer said that the guys in front of me could not get in because his black jeans were against dress code. So after the couple argued they left. Then he said that I could not go in because my black slacks are against dress code! I was wearing a nice shirt with black slacks and dress shoes! I didn't want to argue so I said I would wait on the side for my friend to come out and we will leave. As I am waiting, I observed multiple people with black pants and leggings go in and then he stopped three black guys from going in again. To the first he said his black pleather jacket was against dress code (he was a clean shaven guy wearing an orange crew neck underneath and khaki slacks with dress shoes), to the second he said his hair which was in dreads was against dress code and made another excuse for their friend. So one of the guys and me waited on the side to see if he would let in another guy in line with a black leather jacket and unfortunately he totally did and another girl with a leather jacket. It took me a second to realize the pattern here and most of you know that I am never one to pull the race or gay card. But they made it pretty obvious that the "image" they were trying to portray with their "dress code" had more to do with skin tone than anything else. One of the black guys and I stood there for another 30 minutes just to confirm our suspicion of their prejudice and sure enough the only people he stopped were people of color and made up excuses about their "dress code" then let in white people with the exact same clothing. In my mind they have joined the likes of Chick Fil-A and drunken monkey and I will here on never choose to spend my money or time there. read more
