Press play was a fun little bar. $4 drinks after 7pm on Sunday? And ping pong for free? God bless America :,)

False advertising, 25cent drinks only happen for 20min at some random time between 10-close. It clearly states all night.

One of the worst bars I've ever been to. Only reason it's not getting 1 star is because Abby was a good bartender. The bartender that was helping me was the second worst bartender I've ever seen though. She sat in the corner on a barstool, on her phone, and barely helped out. She also was wearing an oversized tee and yoga shorts while Abby was dressed very nicely. The worst bartender I've ever seen acted the same but also chain smoked cigs behind the bar too. Not sure how she still has a job. Aside from that bartender, the drinks were absolutely the worst drinks I've ever had. Firstly they poured .75oz in drinks, usually they have 1-1.5oz, I can count pours in my sleep. I had a bourbon ginger ale for my first and could barely get it down, I thought the ginger ale was bad (tasted like ginger beer). I ordered a whiskey coke for the 2nd round since coke has a stronger taste to drown out bad tastes, I could barely get that down too. So even though it was a light pour, it was definitely the whiskey that was the issue. I've never tasted such a bad whiskey in my life. Next point was the music, more specifically the acoustics. I sat at the bar and couldn't understand a single lyric in any of the songs that were playing. I barely even could tell there were lyrics. All you could hear was the bass, muffled mids, and the loud parts of the treble. It sounded like loud music coming from a car next to you at a red light that has its windows rolled up. You know there is music playing but it's unrecognizable. Lastly, they have fake advertising. They advertise "25cent drinks all night" on Wednesdays from 10pm-close. They actually have 3 rounds that last 20min during that time frame where you get discounted drinks. Only the first 20min round is 25cents then each round after that increases in price. The 20min "panic hour" (how is 20min called an hour?...) are completely random so you never know when they will happen. So you have to get there at 10 and hope the first round starts shortly after that, if it doesn't you're out of luck. If you show up at 11, you might be out of luck also. It's extremely manipulative and untrustworthy. I really wish I went somewhere else, this really ruined my only night in Boulder. Not to mention, it tempts patrons to chug as many drinks as they can in 20min intervals. No wonder 3 people fell into me while I sat at the bar...

If you're looking for cheap drinks to go with the best old time pin ball machines and video games, this is the place to be! Tucked in the basement/downstairs level of the mall.... this little treasure makes the kid in me jump for joy! They have great happy hour specials and a cool, dark atmosphere that makes you feel like you can kick back with your friends and stay for a while. Stop in just to check out the games if you don't want to drink! It a wild trip dOwn memory lane that you don't want to miss out on!

Been coming to this place for years. Be safe going down the steep stairs. There is a garage a block down from the Rio. I love the atmosphere and the arcade!! The have pool and a dance floor small but fun. There are always drink deals. They have had some awesome DJ's and lighting. The restrooms need to be updated but keep the body mirror. They have a microwave for vending machine food! It's awesome. The bartenders are friendly. We will be seeing you guys again soon.

Classes are cheap ($10 for a drop in class or $35 for a 4-part series) and they start frequently (a new session every month) so I took my chance and jumped in on the next beginner-level class that came up. This was Lindy Hop 1, which meets on Monday nights. Tonight was my first lesson, and I cannot wait to go back next week. I have never danced a real dance before in my life, but John and Shana did a great job explaining everything clearly enough that it always felt natural to move on to the next step. The atmosphere was really relaxed and everyone seemed to have a genuinely good time. It is certainly okay to attend these classes on your own. My friend and I went without partners and a couple of guys stuck around from an earlier class to even things out. Not a big deal at all. I was concerned about not having the comfort of a familiar partner, but that soon was relieved as the class is structured so that every follow dances with every lead at least once. And since it's a "rotate clockwise" arrangement, there's no need to worry that nobody will choose you to dance. You just get the next person in the circle, and then the next. This setup not only eases the awkwardness of choosing a partner, it gives you the opportunity to dance with several people, and all of them will have a slightly different style. You don't learn to dance with your date, you learn to dance with anybody. The studio was a bit hot and everyone got really sweaty but, since everybody was sweaty, it was okay. I highly recommend wearing something comfortable that will allow you to breathe. After just the first session in this series, I feel like I progressed from hopeless to kind of okay at this particular dance, which is way more than I had anticipated. Trying new things is awesome!

I agree with another reviewer. Super rude staff at the front. Classes move ridiculously slow…read more Instructors are decent but we need more options in Boulder for Lindy Hop.

The rating of this place can change depending on the kind of "show" you go here and watch. For us,…read moreit was one of the "Jazz Room" series: A joinery to the heart of New Orleans and we absolutely had nothing negative things to say about it as the experience last night was fantastic. It was a show with seats. Our tickets were in zone A where we were able to sit pretty much right in front of the stage/band. Wow! The staff upfront who scanned our tickets were welcoming and one of them took us to our section. She also showed us where the main bar and the restrooms etc. were m. Very organized and courteous system to say the least. The bar area was also organized, very clean and quite spacious. The lady who assisted us (for a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon; it was a very decent Cab!!) had a warm smile. She welcomed us. Very polite indeed. The show started right on time at 8pm. The 5 talented musicians entertained us occasionally incorporating talks with funny elements. They also encouraged us to be part of the songs; we thus sang along with them. The kind of crowd we had was my age range (mostly in their early to late 50's or a bit older in their 60's. My 25-yr old daughter was definitely one of the youngest people in the audience. Everyone was courteous to others; very laid back atmosphere indeed.) The show was only 1 hour with no encore (so you'll be out the door by 9:10pm unless you linger.) That was the only bummer thing about it but other than that, it was a night of magical vibes where we felt like slipping into the old jazz era of 1920's. It's funny. After living in the greater Denver area for 28 years, it was my very first visit to this venue. Despite the very low ratings of only 2.5 stars as of late January 2026, my first impression for this one of the iconic places is near 5-star rating. I can't wait to attend more shows at this place in the future.

Your job is not to guess what PERSONAL meds I have on me. Did you also know some people may NEED their prescriptions without having to explain that to you?? You're not pharmacists. What your JOB IS to make sure there aren't 1) weapons or 2) drugs meant for **distribution** (i.e., large quantities). That is it, dummys. The god complex is very pathetic to experience. Leave people with their personal meds alone and don't touch private parts. This is one spot where they are taking their positions WAY too far and beyond and it ain't that serious. The venue itself is fun and has quite a few different rooms to hang out in. The main floor has SO many people PARKING ON THE DANCE FLOOR which is sooooo anoyyyiinggg. It's like these kids just wanna be or say they're "at the club" but they don't actually even "club". Go to the back and stand. Don't stand right in front of the damn DJ. They do have lots of popular DJs here and often more the type of music I'm personally into. The real popular ones, though, are so high up all you can see is a shadow of a person--amazing, lol. If you have the luxury of a car, leave anything remotely questionable in there. I don't ever drive here so I have to try and think hard before leaving my home since I can't even bring Aleve or Benadryl without them causing an issue (which is something I have literally never once before in my entire life going anywhere EVER have had to think about). When you get your door staff's crap together, maybe there will be another update.

It was Thursday night and they we charging a $10 cover. When I got in there, there were only 10 people in there, and that included the employees. The staff there were friendly and the music they were playing was nice. This place gives off an old dungeon vibe. It could probably use some updating. There is metered street parking available in the front and a parking lot available in the back, where the entrance was when I visited. I do like the club's set up. It has a couple of rooms. There is like a lounge area, a video game room, and a couple of bar areas with dance floors. They have different music playing in the rooms. The video game room has a bar and classic coin operated video games, like Spy Hunter, Ms Pacman, and Off Road. They mostly take quarters and they have a change machine available. The drinks here are reasonably priced and were decent pours. I only stayed here about 30 minutes. I was really bored and decided to just call it a night and go to bed early. I would probably come back here, but It would not be on a Thursday night and I would do some homework on the place before I came here.
