0 Stars - what the heck…read more.. We recently moved and Waste Management is apparently our garbage/recycle/yard waste service provider. I called them in March to start the service in May and to have the new bins delivered - all went well until the first scheduled pick up. Bin pick ups are every Thursday with Recycle being every other Thursday. I leave the bins out on Wednesday evening for Thursday morning pick up - on the first pick up, yard waste is picked up but the garbage is missed. I do the chat feature online and they told me that 'your garbage bin was not out, so it was not picked up.' I let them know that it was put out...they offered to do a missed pick up and said the garage would be picked up within 24-48hrs. It is now July 7th, 2026 and every single week for the last 9 weeks either the garbage or recycle is *not* picked up. Every single week for the last 9 weeks i call and let them know that it was missed, ask if this is normal service, ask if my address was not added to their servicing schedule, ask why it was missed, and every time they say 'so sorry, we will make sure they get picked up.' Completely blown away by how horrible this service has been from the start. I dont even want to go to the Waste Management golf tournament in Scottsdale anymore! Still waiting on a supervisor to call me back and it has been 4 business days since i asked to speak with one...losing my mind. Not to mention i have to pay them for not picking up the bins!

Over the years I've literally used thousands of yards of their fine dark compost and recommended their products to countless people. Not sure what happened, but, man have they gone downhill. I recently had 11 yards of their dark ground compost blown onto my landscape beds. I was sick when, after the job, I looked and there were fine bits of hard plastic, clear plastic wrap and other garbage all over my yard that had come with the compost. Last month I called them and asked them what happened. Was it a bad batch? Were they aware and were changing their procedures? Was it not actually their product? I gave them the name of my vendor and the date they would have purchased it. The lady I spoke with sounded very earnest and very concerned and took my name and number and promised to investigate and get back to me. At the time I felt hopeful that Cedar Grove was the company I remembered and not the company I have since read about in lots of awful reviews. Welp, that hope was just dashed. I just called back, and asked some questions, trying to find the lady I'd spoken with in June. This time it did not go well. This person was not interested in figuring out who I'd spoken with, was not interested in asking around to see if my prior complaint had been investigated, and was definitely not interested in doing anything about my concerns. I kept telling her all I wanted was to find out if my complaint had been looked into and if they'd found out if there had been a bad batch and if so, what actions they were taking to improve their practices. Alternately, I suggested, she could find out if they had looked into the info I had given the prior lady on my vendor to confirm if they had, indeed, purchased Cedar Grove product on the date I had provided her. She kept insisting I needed to give her that info all over again, while also insisting that since I hadn't purchased the product from here there was nothing they could do about it. I kept telling her I had already suggested two things they could do about it. She told me I was being rude. I told her she wasn't listening to me. She then hung up on me. I happened to lose my direction driving to MCS Recycling which has almost an exact street address as Eastmont Transfer Station but at opposite end; "W" instead of "E" street designator (7201 E Marginal Way). Upon driving to this station, I parked then walked up the ramp to knock on the office for verification & help. There was a young lady working in the office and her name is Savanna. Upon learning of my problems of having a malfunctioned phone/GPS using Waze for direction, Savanna quickly showed me the directions to get to MCS Recycling. Just to make sure I would not forget her instructions, Savanna also printed out a paper copy for me to take with me! She helped me regardless of whether I was a customer of her business or not!
