The best restaurant in town (in my opinion) - Red Geranium has a lovely atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. My steak in the steak salad was done to perfection. Avocado dressing? Yes please! Our apps that we ordered were delicious: goat cheese ball and the "sticks" which were like a cross between an egg roll and a panini. Their menu changes with the season, which I always love to see. AND THEY SERVE WARM BREAD ROLLS! Absolute 5 stars in my book! This is a small town though, so the sense of urgency here is non existent. Please elevate your 5 senses and truly enjoy.

Phenomenal! Food ! Service ! Ambience! Patio! It was a perfect place to spend my anniversary. I enjoyed the Pork Tenderloin special. The steak was perfect and cooked to temperature. There was a White Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding and the review from those at my table and you could hear throughout the patio was this was no typical bread pudding. If you like white chocolate, chocolate, and cake then this dessert is the best mix of them all. I would return to The Red Geranium specifically for the beautiful patio and delightful food. Special shout out to Jared for being approachable and a huge reason for our positive experience.

Great food! I had a baked potato. It was large and perfectly fine. I want to drive back there for another one right now. A dining companion told me her French onion soup was good. Good mood lighting. Quite place. Nice ambiance for a relaxing meal. Prices quite reasonable, considering how fancy the place is. Reservations recommended. Service good. A winner!

Delicious as usual! Enjoyed our table on the patio with great friends. The waitress was kind and always refilled our drinks. Highly recommend!

New Harmony is a great town to visit. There are limited restaurants, so I am happy the food is good here. There are rumors that this town is haunted, so be prepared for that.

Delicious chef-prepared food at a historic inn with beautiful garden patio awaits you here at the Red Geranium. This entire town, founded as a utopian community in 1814 is wonderful! We recommend you eat here and explore the offerings and history in this unique community. The food is delicious! They were serving brunch when we stopped in on Sunday 4 July. I had the Florentine Eggs Benedict which were 2 perfectly poached eggs on tender English muffins, dressed (not drowned) in freshly made Hollandaise sauce. Simply divine! Another of our party enjoyed the tater tot poutine - what's not to love about crispy bacon and cheese tater tots in brown gravy? The Monte Cristo is made with fresh bread that, once the sandwich is assembles, is dunked in funnel cake batter before being deep-fried. Far warning: this sandwich is absolutely delicious, and will feed 2 adults easily. Salads are impeccably fresh and come with a variety of house made dressings. 5 brunch utopia stars

I worked with Events of Harmony (EOH) for my wedding in New Harmony, and it was a terrible…read moreexperience. They were extremely disorganized and poor at communication, and ultimately things did not come together as planned. It was my second wedding (his first) and we kept it small (50 people) and simple. EOH told me it was the simplest wedding they had done. We got tables, tablecloths, centerpieces, etc. along with set-up and tear-down. The disorganization and lack of communication became clear early on. After the initial consult, I was told I'd have an estimate in a couple of weeks, which turned into a month (and multiple phone calls as they kept promising a new date and then missing that). Then there were the scheduling problems. They scheduled an appointment for us to pick out specific centerpieces, etc., but wrote down the wrong day and were not available when we showed up (wasted 90-minute round trip). Rescheduled for the next week and they had to cancel due to family emergency. Rescheduled for the following week (less than 6 weeks away from our wedding date by then), and they mixed it up again, thought I was coming the next day, double-booked me with another bride, and weren't prepared. We met anyway. It was beyond frustrating to try to communicate with them after that. Their EOH email address actually stopped working (I noticed they also lost their website with the same domain). By the week before the wedding, I still didn't have a correct invoice so hadn't paid a deposit (they didn't seem to care, but I did), and they couldn't tell me which day they were going to set up. I was really starting to worry, told the owner that in text (nicely), to which she never responded. So I finally drove up there again, unannounced, to tie up the loose ends in person. I wanted to be there during the set-up, as I wasn't entirely sure about the layout, had some items of my own to add to the decor, and what bride doesn't want to be there if she can?! The venue would let us in any day that week. We didn't have a rehearsal the day before (Friday) because we had no bridal party, and we wanted to spend that time visiting with our out-of-town guests. So I asked for Thursday, and they said no problem. We showed up Thursday and they had just one person there, and just the tables and tablecloths (which she spent the next 2 hours ironing), and nothing else. We figured out quickly that there was not enough room for the layout they swore to us would work, and the venue coordinator helped us rearrange the tables and chairs. Since there was nothing else we could do until tablecloths were ready, we told the lady ironing them that we would grab some lunch and be back. Then she told us that they weren't going to do the rest of the set-up until the next day, they would just send us pictures. I was blown away, but held it in somehow. I left them the stuff I had brought, including 40 yards of beautiful burgundy lace trim to go around the plain white buffet tables. Friday afternoon they called to tell me that the venue wouldn't allow candles, which I had told them before but they insisted were ok if they were inside a container, so they'd have to use battery tealights instead in our centerpieces. Fine, but they were ugly and if we'd figured that out on Thursday I would have had time to find something better. Later that night they finally sent a couple of pics. The arch looked ok but a little different than planned, so I asked about it. She never responded. My husband showed up first on the the day of, and found the lace trim falling off the tables. The EOH lady said she was going back to the shop to get pins to help keep it in place, but never returned. I was supposed to have a vase for my bouquet, so I could set it down on a side table when we were on stage (no MOH to hold it), and use it in our centerpiece. They left us only the over-sized dirty vase it was delivered in. I texted the owner and she said she didn't know we needed a vase, thought I was just going to lay my bouquet down on the table. She was out of town and couldn't help us even though their shop was a block away. Same bouquet was wrapped so tight that the stems were breaking and I had to pull out several of the flowers that were flopping over. After the honeymoon, I contacted the owner and told her how stressful it was working with them and how disappointed I was in not being there for the set-up. She refused to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with they way they handled it, insisted they delivered exactly what they promised (untrue, and she didn't ask what went wrong), and told me that I was just an "anxious bride" type and it was my choice if I wanted to be upset about things. Um, it was my second wedding and much simpler than the first... I was actually pretty chill. She was shockingly insensitive. Long review, but this is catharsis for me and I don't want anyone else to go through unnecessary wedding stress. Look elsewhere for help with your New Harmony wedding!

My now husband and I hired Events of Harmony to help us plan our wedding in New Harmony since we…read morelive very far away and wouldn't be able to be in town very much. In the beginning, we had really high hopes because our wedding coordinator seemed to be on the same page as us and started proposing many things to think about like tablescapes, flowers, and other decorations. She was enthusiastic and friendly. Our contract included unlimited phone calls and emails in addition to day-of coordination of events. I thought it would help my stress level tremendously. Unfortunately Events of Harmony was not the right service for us. Almost everything that we asked our coordinator to do was done late or not at all, communication proved to be very difficult throughout the entire planning process, and we were overall extremely disappointed by the lack of organization that we saw. Even on the day of our wedding, she forgot or couldn't find some of the details we had planned for. Overall, the planning service helped by putting out decorations and by cleaning up, for which we were charged a separate fee. Luckily, our wedding day was amazing, but it was not without a lot of stress on our behalf and a ton of work from both of our families. I would not recommend this service for planning a wedding.
