Everything I have ever had there is ok at best, and the prices are exorbitant. My experience is hit-or-miss with the service -- there is one woman who works there who is hostile and insulting, very weird. Other times, the counter staff is just inept (friendly is nice, but friendly and inept is not). They do things like pack savory items with bakery goods and more than once I have opened the bag to find a complete mess from an exploded donut or from icing all over the packaging of a sandwich. Speaking of sandwiches, the bread has been burned on my order more than once and the filling is so skimpy you can barely tell its there. I know we're all shocked at rising food costs but charging $11 for a small sandwich with barefy any filling is not fair. Other local shops are not fleecing customers this way. Do not recommend.

I ordered an iced decaf coconut flavor oat milk latte, and it was absolutely delicious. When the coconut flavoring ran out just before I ordered , the staff happily went to the back and opened a new bottle so they could make exactly what I requested. They were fun, friendly, and seemed happy to help. That small act of care made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. The latte itself was smooth, flavorful, and perfectly cold, exactly what I needed while walking around Salem on a steamy summer day. Front Street serves Jim's Organic Coffee, and the quality came through in every sip. I also loved the coffeehouse's cozy, lived-in atmosphere and its visible LGBTQ inclusivity. It felt like a place created for community: warm, expressive, relaxed, and welcoming to everyone. That matters to me just as much as a great cup of coffee. Delicious coffee, joyful service, and wonderfully inclusive energy made this a five-star experience. I cannot wait to return.

I sat in one of the two window bays on a comfortable stool (again, perfect! sometimes they're way too high for a 4'10" to get up on, or off), with a complimentary cup of water (I love when cafes have serve yourself water). One of the servers brought my sandwich over and even on first glance I could tell it was going to be good. No wilted lettuce, no weird bread, perfect amount of mayo and bacon. I had the vegetarian egg sandwich, which came with a side of sweet potato home fries. The sandwich was delicious and well seasoned on a crispy English muffin. The home fries were good but definitely a bit less to my taste. They didn't quite have the crunchiness I was hoping for and were pretty soft, though well cooked. I enjoyed my meal here and will probably come back!
