My friends and I came to this cutesy small shop to grab coffee/brekky prior to our day in Salem. Looks like they have 2 locations. One in Salem MA and one in Beverly MA. Parking- didn't see a dedicated lot, looks like street parking only. We found a spot down the street, walkable distance. Looks like we made the right choice, because the place was poppin. Lots of folks coming in & out. We were lucky enough to snag a table for the group while some of the group stayed in line. I noted several groups of ladies with cute witchy style outfits very fitting for Salem, that could def be OOTD worthy on IG. Service- seemed fine. My friends ordered for me at the counter while I held down our table, so I can't speak to the ordering interaction. They were speaking names out very low for pick up at the counter, I remember that. Food- I got the North Shore sammy - which comes with maple bacon, over medium egg, chedder cheese, maple aoili on a croissant. The egg was runny just what I like, and it was yummy and bigger than I imagined. Very filling. I could have just split one with my friends, but everyone got there own. So I left more full than I wanted, because I didn't want to take away. Drink- I got a latte, that was fine, nothing to write home about. If visiting this charming town try it out. I saw mostly tourist, so don't think it's a locals hang out. But it's not a trap luckily, lol.
When I say the wait to get into Crave is worth every minute of standing in line, I mean it! We stood in this line 2 days in a row that's how delicious their breakfast sandwiches are. The line moves fairly quickly. It's about a 10-20 minute wait. I ordered a "Fluffy Ghost Matcha" and one of their signature sandwiches "Northshore". It has maple bacon, eggs, cheddar cheese & maple aioli, served on a toasted butter croissant. This sandwich is so mouth-wateringly delicious. Hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. No exaggeration!
Found this little gem on TikTok and I am so glad that we came! All of us couldn't decide what we wanted, so we tried a couple of different options. We tried the North Shore, Whole Hog (on a bed of tots), and the bacon egg and cheese! We also got 2 side orders of tots. I loved all the food, every bite I took was delish! There tots were hot and crispy and well seasoned also. For the coffee I went with the signature "The Crave", which was so delightful. I got it with oat milk and it was smooth and delish as well! The inside of the place is just a cute hip vibe. It's a smaller cafe with some seating along one of the wall of window, and then they have some tables. Right when we arrived, every table was packed, but by the time our food arrived, tables opened up, which was nice. It seemed that most people would turnover the table quickly to allow for others to sit. The staff were super friendly and patient, and all around great place to have breakfast in Salem!
The food at Crave is always a treat. They take my mother's gluten allergy seriously which is great and appreciated. The coffee is robust and the service is quick. It can be hard to find seating when it's busy because they only have a few tables. I love their breakfast sandwiches!
soooo good. their matcha was delicious and just what you want in a matcha, just look at that color . the service is lovely and quick. the food is scrumptious, tot bowls are filling and the tots have that perfect crunch and are well salted. the tot sauce is nice addition. we went back a second day for just drinks and again they were very good. so happy to have found this place on my travels and will be going back any time i'm in salem it does get busy so the earlier the better, they have a restroom and several tables
So I feel sometimes when something is overhyped on TikTok you need to be the final judge. Came yesterday for the super cute iced matcha latte with ghosts and unfortunately the drink was gross. The service was fast despite how many people were ordering. The drink had 0 flavor and was extremely watery.... Our ghosts on our other drinks were deformed
We needed a quick breakfast place with GF options while we were in Salem. Crave checked all our boxes! My husband and I got breakfast sandwiches. Bacon egg and cheese and the sausage egg and cheese on the GF bread. The bread reminded me of cheesy bread from a pizza place. The sandwiches were very filling. We will definitely come back for some of the baked goods! Employees were very nice and the place was cute!
Absolutely hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a hot minute. I forget the name but I got the one with maple bacon and the maple aioli and it was probably the best thing I've had in awhile. I'm not big on eggs but they cooked them perfectly. The bacon was delicious, thick and cooked to perfection. The sauce complimented the whole sandwich perfectly. 100/10. Service was great and the little place was cute and clean. The coffee was good too.

Croissants looked good but had a disappointingly small amount of filling. I've been on the hunt for good croissants and decided to try the almond and churro croissants today. While both looked good, each only had a small amount of filling inside. The vast majority of each croissant was unfilled. The churro croissant's filling tasted like whipped chocolate and was very light and tasty, but there was only about two bitefuls inside. The almond croissant was very flaky, but had even less filling. For the cost of each croissant, there should have been significantly more filling. I wouldn't go out of my way to have these croissants again.

I'm gluten free, so whenever I'm traveling I always look for the best gluten free places. This was BY FAR the best gluten free breakfast place in Salem, MA. They have a variety of gluten free foods - ALL CLEARLY LABELED! Eggs, bakery pastries, sandwiches, and treats! My two favorites were the butter cake and the blueberry lemon scone - which tasted not "gluten free" and SO GOOD. My husband who is not gluten free also loved this place and had an egg sandwich one day, and some sort of tater tot bowl the second day! The staff was friendly and it was also just a great place to sit and start the day! read more
Visited this cute coffee shop when I was in Salem a week ago. I was out for my morning run, and made a stop here when I was getting hungry and ready for my morning beverage. It was super easy to order, and I was intrigued by the build-your-own breakfast sandwich. I got a sweetened matcha (hot) paired with a sandwich made with pita bread, scrambled eggs, pepper jelly, and Boursin cheese (a unique option which I thought would add some interesting flavors). The entire meal of food + drink was perfectly filling post-run. Seating isn't ample, but there are options---countertop at the window for people-watching, or cozier seating by the back wall. It's definitely in a central location of Salem and I can see this place being a local favorite! read more
Unique menu with interesting tea flavors and tater tot bowls, really good cafe overall. I got an almond milk latte with vanilla, and you can make any sandwich gluten free. I had the Crave sandwich and it was maybe the best sandwich I have ever had. I loved the spicy jelly and the unique gluten free bread with herbs baked in. They also have gluten-free Boston cream cake as well as other options. read more

Croissants looked good but had a disappointingly small amount of filling. I've been on the hunt for good croissants and decided to try the almond and churro croissants today. While both looked good, each only had a small amount of filling inside. The vast majority of each croissant was unfilled. The churro croissant's filling tasted like whipped chocolate and was very light and tasty, but there was only about two bitefuls inside. The almond croissant was very flaky, but had even less filling. For the cost of each croissant, there should have been significantly more filling. I wouldn't go out of my way to have these croissants again. read more

This review comes from a family of 4. We had 2 build your own breakfast sandwiches. The bread was fresh and both were made to order. The brioche bun was an exercise option. The caramel latte was perfect. Maple bacon was excellent. The fruity pebble bar was too hard. The tater tot bowl was good and sauce was excellent. My husband says they tried too hard on the BLT but it looked good to me. Overall, this is a great takeout place. read more

Stopped here for some food while in Salem and it was very good. Small inside with a few tables and only a few bar seats so hard to get a seat. Order at the front, they have lots of options for breakfast sandwiches or you can put them over tater tots which is great! They also have lots of different coffee, teas, and ice teas. I got a tater tot bowl with eggs and shaved steak and it was really great and a large portion. read more
Very quick and friendly service, with yummy breakfast options. I order an iced coffee and sandwich and enjoyed both, also the hash browns are sooo good! Note: there is very little seating options so this is a better grab and go place. read more

This was my second time visiting Salem, and second time visiting Crave for brunch. The Northshore with the candied bacon is delicious! The coffee was great both times. This time, I chose an iced caramel latte and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area! read more

On a recent visit to Salem, MA to see the beautiful murals, we came across this restaurant. We wanted a quick bite as it was October, and parking in Salem during this month is at a premium. We managed to find a metered spot for two hours, and we were concerned that we would be stuck eating fast food. We were delighted to find this small restaurant a block off the main street. We realized that this is a cash at the counter and wait for your order type of place. We managed to secure two seats and ordered two pesto BLTs. As an experienced cook, I do not impress easily. You would think a BLT couldn't surprise you anymore... but I was wrong. This BLT was made with arugula, bacon, sun-dried tomatoes pesto, and aïoli on a substantial ciabatta roll. I don't know that I'll ever eat a traditional BLT ever again. The pesto and sun-dried tomatoes were such a good surprise... absolutely delicious together. The arugula added a much needed bite, another layer of flavor, and reminded me of all the arugula I used to grow in my garden. Bacon is bacon...always yummy! The ciabatta roll was the perfect vessel to hold up to all of the delicious pesto and aïoli. It makes so much sense to use a ciabatta roll instead of regular bread with a BLT. How often does the bread break as you're trying to bite into it? Genius. The service at Crave was very efficient. It was very crowded when we walked in, and we almost walked out, thinking it would take too long. However, we were served expeditiously. The menu had so many breakfast and brunch options that it was hard to choose. The restaurant is open daily from 8 am until 2 PM. We got in just under the wire, and we're so glad we did. if you're a foodie who is interested in fresh, delicious and creative menu items, be sure to visit Crave in Salem... We flew into Boston and were STARVING. This place was great, the service was super fast and the coffee was out even before the food. The sandwich options are great, I wish I could have tried all of them. The tots were super crispy and perfectly seasoned. I loved this spot, I would recommend. read more
