Absolutely wonderful & intimate comedy show setting. This is an up close and personal experience, which is harder to find in the past few years. This was our first visit and excited to come back! The building is attached to Kings BBQ for delicious before show bites. We went for their "Golden Hour" and loved every moment. Glad we got there early because the parking lot does fill up quickly. There is additional parking around the venue, if it's full when you arrive. The entrance leads directly into a large bar area, with seating along the whole counter. Basically this area is half of the building so is surprisingly large. They offer craft cocktails, local beers, and wine by the glass. The second half of the building is the stage and seating. Personal space is a premium here as every spot is used for the audience. We saw 3 two seaters tables along the back wall as welk as a few tables in the front row directly at the edge of the stage. Both areas are considered "upgraded" seating/tickets. Use that info when buying tickets. The rest of the seats (at least for our show) are open seating. My suggestion is not to wait too long to find seating once the doors open. Not that there is a bad seat, but I do like to have choices. We had two openers and the main headliner for our show. Everything ran smoothly, with good volume and pacing. They then had a merch area set up after the show, back in the lounge/bar area. This got a little extra cosy but everyone was respectful. Best experience! Got there at 5:00. Found our seats and went to the bar to grab a drink. Several options for mix cocktails, beer, non-alcoholic as well. We went back to our seats and the show started promptly. The MC was funny! Then the opening act made us crack up! Once the main act came one the stage we already laugh a half hour straight! This is a great venue with wonderful acts. Ample parking in front and around the building. Seats about 100 people so a cozy settings. I'll keep an eye out for more shows here but the one on Sunday with Zoltán as the main act was great! Definitely going back! read more

Great smaller comedy venue in the Park Circle focuses on getting touring comedians. The space is intimate so it will be rising stars and not so much mega Netflix comedians. Mostly going to be a fan's fan of deep cut comedy. They also have a rotation of local comedians too. The bar is solid and they have a bonus room upstairs. Hitting King BBQ next door for pregame food could be the move before shows. I've been a few times and highly recommend for comedy lovers. The staff are friendly and quick with the drinks! I saw Sam Tallent here and of course hilarious! They are also part of Charleston Comedy week in the winter, but worth checking out any time of year. Cheers! read more

I attended my first show while Amber Autry was in town. First and foremost- parking! There is a small lot right next to the building but there is an even larger lot around back. You can take the turn at the block before or after Wit's End to get to it. This is a very small venue and that honestly makes it more perfect. There is a snarls bar when you first enter with a solid menu and lite bites and then the comedy room is directly behind it. VIP seating gives you the chance to sit on the front row with a small table or to one of the high tops in the back. All other seating is narrow isle seating with no tables. (I'm saying this because I knew I wanted a drink while I was in attendance and did not want to hold it the entire time so opted for VIP.) The few staff members I interacted with were pretty nice and the show itself ran very smoothly. I would definitely return if another comedy favorite was performing there. read more

Wits End holds comedy shows at their venue every Friday and Saturday night. I went a couple of months ago with my friend. It was a good show! Local comedians telling jokes. I liked it. The bartender was very friendly. I don't really drink alcohol, but I did get an order of the soft pretzels. It came with two different sauces. It was a really good pretzel. I shared it with my friend who invited me to the show. The place looks like a straight up bar when you first walk in. Then when you pass the bar, the next room over has a stage and lots of seating for the comedy show. We snagged one of the few tables they had to offer. The tables are at the back of that room, furthest from the stage. But we could see perfectly so there was no issue. The comedians were funny. They all seemed local to the Charleston area. They did a little 5-10 minute stand up segment then they'd flash a light at them to let them know to close the act. Then they'd introduce the next comedian to come on stage. Each comedian introduced the next comedian. It seemed homey. Seems like a good community of people that gather here. Upon leaving, I noticed there was a cool mural across the parking lot with a big toucan bird painted on the wall. I got my friend to take a picture of me with it, as I was dressed in a colorful rainbow outfit. I matched the aesthetic. I really enjoyed the comedy show. I'd like to come back to another one soon. I had a good time bonding with my friend over some funny jokes and yummy soft pretzels. read more

1st time visitng here. I'd seen through social media that we had a comedy club, but hadn't a chance to visit. So happy I had a chance to laugh at comedians Tony Tone and Guy Torry. Flavored popcorn was being sold. I didn't see other food items, but there could've been. They have a full bar, with good wine selections. The stage area is small and intimate. Every visit to Wits End is amazing. It's an awesome comedy club. The performance space makes a good venue for the attend audience and the comedians. The bar being in a separate room/section or the venue is very appealing because the show does not get interrupted. The bar also has a screen that displays the comedian performing. The owner, who opened for the comedy show, was hilarious! This location is intimate and split in sections. The bar is in a room, the pool table and arcade is upstairs, and the stage is in another room. The service was fast and nice. I did not get any food or drink so I have no idea how that is. This is a fantastic comedy club in Charleston! The layout is pretty great. It's a smaller room, only about 3 or 4 rows deep. So, there's no bad seat in the house. We really enjoyed sitting in the front row on the rail, both for the interaction with the comedians and for having a shelf to hold our drinks. They have two levels of ticketing, GA & VIP. VIP gets you a reserved, raised table and seats in the back row. This is probably a good option for folks who don't want to arrive early to claim their seats or would prefer to be in the back and not catch the attention of the comedians on stage. The drinks were great. They do not have service inside the club, you need to head out to the bar to grab another drink. But, this is great, the comedians don't give you a hard time for getting up and you don't distract others by interacting with a server in the club. The show was great! The local host and feature comedians and the headliner from NY were wildly funny and easily read and interacted with the room. After the show, the headliner came out and hung out at the bar with us a bit, which is always cool. So glad we found this comedy club during our trip to Charleston. read more

I love having this new comedy club right outside of the Park Circle neighborhood. You can't miss it with the giant comedy legend Richard Pryor painted on the side of the building. So far, I've been to one of their opening parties to check the place out and more recently to see comedian Dustin Nickerson. Inside you'll find a good size bar and top notch cocktails. Behind the bar is the comedy room which is fairly small, but great for intimate shows. We saw three comedians when my friends and I went for a sold out show and they all killed it. They had to reset for found two of the night, but we were able to head upstairs to a game room where the comedians did a little meet and greet too. Plus you could play pool and pinball up there. I plan on making comedy shows at Wits End a regular thing and I need to go for one of their open mics too. I think they're every Monday and Wednesday. read more

We had bought tickets to see Sam Tallent and had been looking forward to checking out this new club. I'll be blunt, it's definitely not in the best part of town. We ubered down from Park Circle, but there was parking available if you wanted to drive. We were greeted pretty much as we got to the door and we were shown the bar, the show room, and the upstairs. We had a few drinks before the show and we were able to bring them into the showroom to enjoy. The club is intimate and no matter where you sit, you're close to the comics. The first couple of comedians were from the club itself, they were funny. The featured comic had me laughing nonstop till it hurt. We will definitely be coming back. I went here to see a comedy show and was pleasantly surprised how interesting this venue was. Not only do they have a comedy room, they have a decent size bar and a game room. The comedy room is small, but the intimate atmosphere added to the vibe of the show. I would recommend that you get tickets in advance. They only think I would develop more would be the bar food menu. read more

Such a great experience here! The comedy show room is intimate. We got there early so we could pick seats with good leg room. VIPs are either front row or small high top tables, otherwise you have to hold your drink or put it on the floor. We didn't get food but someone near us ordered a pretzel that smelled great! I went to see my friend do stand-up at Wits End during one of their open mic comedy nights. You know of course not everybody was a hit, but it's beginner stand up comedy so I expected that. There's no place to hide from the comedians doing bits- the space is very intimate! So be prepared for the crowd work. I don't like the section of town as it is near the Naval hospital but they had security and bright street lights. Inside was nice and clean. Food was decent priced for nightclub. Comedy is on Wednesday night and security makes sure nobody causes trouble read more

We secured VIP seats for a Friday night show. We were greeted by the staff and taken to our seats. There's a bar in the next room. I read that there is a small selection of food but didn't see anyone eating so I'm not sure if they serve food Friday evenings. The comedians were good, vets, and seemed truly grateful to have people enjoying their comedy club. The comedy room itself was a little cramped and the VIP seats felt a little awkward how close they were to the stage with a small ledge separating you from the comedian. We actually moved back a row because it felt more natural and easier to enjoy the show. I think with time this is going to be an amazing place but would definitely recommend now for an evening of entertainment. read more
