Easy to access for those with mobility challenges (wheelchair ramp leading up to the building). As for the massage, I left feeling balanced and the freedom from daily chronic pain. It can feel anxiety inducing to see a new therapist that provides physical touch. From immediate touch, I felt Samantha provided empathy, compassion, and a safe space to heal. It is now day four after the massage, and I feel fantastic. There have been zero flare-ups after the massage (a common occurrence after a massage when one battles inflammatory challenges). With a mother as a massage therapist of 34 years, I am picky. Samantha checked all my boxes AND SOME! I normally do not book immediately, and felt safe to rebook for November. Like anything, Massage is an investment. I'd rather focus on preventive care now than be completely disabled and burdened by my health years from now. Kentucky Masseur is located on lower Brownsboro Rd, in a 2-story brick building with ample parking in the back. Dixon had sent me a new patient form via email, which I had filled out prior to arriving. I highly recommend doing this if you go -- this ensures that you can spend your full 60 minutes enjoying the massage and not losing precious minutes to some paperwork. He met me at the door and was pleasant, personable and professional. He is also extremely knowledgeable about anatomy, wellness, and how massage factors into a holistic regimen of healthy living. The massage room was painted in a calming hue, with a comfortable table, and filled with the aromas of some pleasant essential oils. While some relaxing music played, I enjoyed every one of my 60 minutes getting stress and tension kneaded away. I called to book a deep tissue massage for 50 minutes, with the massage you can use the pool and facilities before or after your treatment. The spa has a very relaxing vibe and was very comfortable. I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment. I had a short wait since there was only one person at the front desk and there were helping other clients at the time. When it was my turn, I was warmly greeted and given a tour of the facility. The changing rooms are right off the main lobby area, and I was guided around the area and advised on what was available to use. I decided to change and then head to the relaxation room to await my massage. The room had flavored water and hot tea available, as well as a few packaged snacks. There were several Lounge chairs available with sheer curtains to provide some privacy. My massage therapist arrived right around my massage time and took me to my room. She was very nice and explained the process and asked if I had any areas of concern. Unfortunately the massage wasn't great, I had opted for a deep tissue massage, but not a lot of pressure was used. She also never checked in with me during the massage and it ended a bit early. The facility is beautiful and next time I will try a facial or another service since I loved the atmosphere so much.
