I just spent a little over a month at the Terraces Skilled Nursing after having lower back surgery…read moreat age 87 and I have nothing but praise for my stay. (Note: I was an independent resident at the Terraces for almost 6 years before needing to use this part of the Terraces continuous care organization so I may be a bit biased.) I came to skilled nursing a bit groggy after 3-4 days at Fresno Surgery Hospital up the road on North Fresno St and immediately felt at home. I got a private room with a button I could push to bring a caregiver quickly with a cup of coffee or to otherwise administer to my needs. It was quiet at night (thank God!); good nutritious meals came on time, therapy sessions started immediately, and all personnel were pleasant professionals. Speaking of personnel, I'd like to mention a few who stood out: caregivers: angelic Erika; quiet and hardworking Shandir; exuberant, funny Brandi; quiet no-nonsense Angi; outgoing Agnes, with Nigerian accent at beautiful dress; and fast working Carol were all exceptional; nurses, engaging Nani, quiet Mckenzie, heavy metal lover Ozzi; physical therapist, funny, quick-witted John and occupational therapist, Chase, with a dry sense of humor. My sincere apologies to workers I've somehow forgotten in my current slight fog. I plan to begin outpatient physical therapy there with Clara (?), soon. I have no complaints with my Skilled Nursing stay. The folks there did all they could do, in my view, to prepare me for independent living and the slow recovery of my back and legs. Highly grateful and highly recommended.

Quesadilla was burnt and the special Hawaiian Chicken kabob bowel was cold brown rice pink chicken and not half the ingredients that was listed. No tangy sweet glaze sauce as intimated. Unprofessional staff with no gloves and handling food with hands. Horrible experience.

They do a lot to keep people occupied and engaged, including live music happy hours twice per week, field trips off site, walking clubs, etc. I feel confident that my Mom is safe and being well cared for when we can't be there. They really do everything possible to make us all feel good in what is obviously less than ideal circumstances. I appreciate Jonathan and the whole staff.

As my MIL had previously been in Bayside to recover after a serious fall, we were acquainted with Casa de Flores. Therefore, tours were scheduled, and a room selected. NOTE: plan to process a volume of forms/paperwork for admittance, prior to moving day. Expect to schedule visits with the MD(s) for requisite exams and signature on some of the forms. KEEP COPIES OF ALL PAPERWORK. After over a year, what we have found with Casa de Flores, Morro Bay: · Cleanliness! Always CLEAN! Never have we detected unpleasant smells. · Staff who care! We have found staff (in all capacities) to be friendly, helpful, interactive with the residents, willing to work with you (the family of the resident). · Facilities - Well designed, beautifully decorated, and welcoming. · On site PA, when needed who communicates in a timely fashion. · Meals - dining rooms with well-planned menus, or in-room service. · Expense - 'affordable' considering the breadth of services provided. · Care of the residents with respect to COVID 19 protocols. Loved ones have been kept safe and healthy; staff have taken every step per state and federal mandates and recommendations while accommodating family to the best of the limitations. · Communication - Timely! emails, website, Facebook, and especially face-to-face.
