    new flat roof

I hired The Repair Guys to resurface my entire flat roof after calling them to help with a leak. Ryan responded within a few hours of my call and came out the next day to repair my original leak in mid-February. No other company responded quickly, nor could come within 2 weeks, and some never called me back. Ryan and Gino took time to take pictures (LOTS!) and explain in detail to me what needed to be done. After learning my roof needed some serious help (bought house less than 2 years prior) I looked for additional quotes. Again, responsiveness was poor from most companies. Only one other company actually took pictures so I could see what they thought needed to be done. Of those that offered quotes, no one knew what to do with the patch performed by The Repair Guys. One company wanted to rip it out, another wanted to paint over it with the standard cheap stuff most companies use. Pricing ranged from $5K to $27K with 3 to 10 year warranties. I ultimately hired the Repair Guys even though their price was higher and knowing I had to wait about 6 weeks for them to start my job. Meanwhile another leak occurred on the opposite side of the house from the initial leak. The Repair guys came out almost immediately to fix it. Ultimately, the entire roof was done with some added work done to fix scuppers, trim intruding tree branches, and they even capped my dryer vent that the last vent cleaner left uncapped. Gino seemed to work tirelessly and clocked some very long days. I was always keep in the loop and the job was done early. They also worked around our Easter party plans, and even helped me set-up by moving some furniture. So nice! Ryan and Gino are dedicated workers who could not be more responsive, polite and helpful. I never felt pressured and always felt they appreciated my business. With their product, I am trusting that I wont ever have to worry about my roof or interior repairs again, and I can transfer the warranty to the next home owner. Look no further for a superior roof experience!

I have a leaking coming from a window and I'm not sure if it's the window, the roof, or the stucco. Are you guys able to assess my situation?

Hi Susan, thanks for asking! We actually hold multiple licenses, multiple bonds, and multiple forms of insurance. It would be very fair to say that we are more licensed/bonded/insured than the majority of our competitors. I applaud your being…

We specifically agreed to install the highest-quality underlayment, and I signed the work order reflecting that agreement. The crew began work on a Monday. On Tuesday evening, after they had left, I noticed the underlayment installed on my roof was not the product I had purchased. I checked the packaging, confirmed it was the wrong material, and emailed Brent. To his credit, he responded quickly, acknowledged the mistake, and said he would notify the foreman and owner. I followed up the next morning to ask how it would be corrected, but for nearly two and a half days I received no communication while the crew continued installing the wrong underlayment. There were no calls, updates, or explanation of how they intended to resolve the issue. Late Friday, I was told they were working with the manufacturer to extend the warranty on the installed underlayment to match the warranty of the premium product I had originally purchased. While I appreciated that solution, I was disappointed by the lack of communication during those critical days. After the roof was completed, I noticed several tile corners looked rough and unfinished. I sent Brent photos, and he agreed they needed additional detail work. The crew returned the following week, and to their credit, they significantly improved the appearance of the tile corners. Before the project began, I had also shown Brent water damage and rot around a vented soffit board beneath one of my roof overhangs. Although I later learned they normally do not replace vented soffit boards because they are not considered part of the roof, they agreed to replace mine as a goodwill gesture because of the underlayment mistake. Unfortunately, the first repair was poorly done. The installer used the wrong thickness of material, installed it unevenly, and relied heavily on caulk to fill gaps. The workmanship was poor enough that I removed the repair myself before the caulk had fully cured and purchased the correct materials to replace it properly. Around the same time, I discovered numerous roofing nails and staples protruding through my eaves that had not been there before the installation. Brent agreed this needed to be corrected. A crew later arrived after dark, without notifying us, and repaired the fasteners using flashlights. While I appreciated the quick response, showing up unannounced at our home at night to perform repairs demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for us as clients. A few weeks into the project, Jason called to discuss my experience. I explained that I chose Four Peaks because of its reputation and because both he and Brent had seemed honest and trustworthy throughout the sales process. Unfortunately, the execution of the project did not match those expectations. Jason apologized for the underlayment mistake and offered to have their carpenter reinstall the soffit board. I declined because I had already purchased the materials and planned to complete the repair myself. Two days later, however, my wife and I were awakened at approximately 6:00 a.m. by loud hammering outside our home. I found another Four Peaks employee reinstalling the soffit board without our knowledge or permission. To be fair, the second repair was significantly better, but the lack of communication was frustrating. Four Peaks ultimately upgraded the manufacturer warranty from 30 years to 50 years and matched it with an extended workmanship warranty, which I appreciated. They also charged me for the lower-priced underlayment that was actually installed instead of the premium product I had purchased. No other compensation offered. However, when the invoice arrived, it still reflected the original higher price, requiring me to contact Brent again to have it corrected. I was also told I would receive a project completion package after the work was finished. It is now July, and I still have not received it. After recent storms, I inspected my attic and discovered the rotted wood behind the soffit had never actually been removed. Instead, it had simply been pushed inward and covered by the new material. I've included photos showing the tile corners before they were repaired, the protruding nails and staples, the soffit repairs, and the remaining rot. Overall, Brent was responsive throughout much of the project, and several employees made efforts to resolve the issues. I appreciate those efforts. However, the repeated mistakes, poor communication, inconsistent workmanship, billing error, unfinished repairs, and multiple unannounced visits overshadowed the positives. I hope my experience helps future homeowners make an informed decision.

Our deck is more than 40 years old and had multiple layers of coatings applied over the years, yet it continued to leak. Louis took the time to thoroughly inspect the deck, explain our options, and recommend a solution that made sense. We never felt pressured--just well informed. The crew's workmanship was outstanding. They carefully removed the existing railing, cut away old flashing and failed coatings, installed new plywood where needed, added new flashing, applied a new waterproof coating system, and then reinstalled the railing. Throughout the project they were professional, efficient, and extremely courteous. What impressed us most was their attention to detail and communication. The work was completed ahead of schedule, the job site was kept clean, and the finished deck looks beautiful. Most importantly, after our first major storm since the project was completed, we didn't have a single leak. If you're looking for a roofing or waterproofing contractor who is honest, knowledgeable, and stands behind their work, we highly recommend L&R Roofing Solutions. So after looking around we came across L&R Roofing. We needed an inspection fast and the actual repair done even faster because the Arizona monsoon was about to be in full swing and we were incredibly stressed. Right off the bat during the inspection, Luis was so honest and told us we absolutely did not need an entire new roof and warned us not to let anyone try to sell us one. Nowadays it is so hard to find companies that truly want to help you rather than just make make a sale, so that was such a huge relief and let us know right away that he wasn't going to BS us. He also went above and beyond during that walk-through. Our home inspector had told us we only had one slipped tile, but when Luis got up there, he found a handful of them and just pushed them all back into place for us. Slipped tiles can cause such major issues down the road, so it was incredibly nice of him to do that. It made me feel so good that he was looking out for our whole roof and not just the one spot we asked him to inspect--honestly, he seemed way more aware of what was going on up there than our actual home inspector was! Since the mold was over a bathroom, he gave us a fair price to remove a section of the underlayment and check all the vents in that area, and we were super happy with that plan. Luis unfortunately had a family emergency come up, but he still made sure to coordinate everything with Victor, who managed to get us on the schedule the very day a big storm was supposed to hit. Victor and his crew showed up at 6 AM and were just so nice to work with. He explained the exact damage to us and took pictures of every single step of the process so we could see everything they were doing. It was such a massive weight off our shoulders when he confirmed he found some water damage but it could easily replace the wood and seal it up right then and there. We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who helped us get this done so quickly and we will definitely be keeping them on speed dial for any future roof work!

Then I walked around our property to pick up any stray roofing material. That's when I discovered 2 pillar cactus were missing from my front yard. When I walked to where they'd been growing, I found a mound of gravel. Upon brushing the gravel aside, I saw the broken stumps of my 2 cacti. They'd likely been knocked over when roofing material was tossed from the roof. Did the crew think I wouldn't notice I was missing a tall cactus? When Nick/project mgr., came for a walk-through I told him and he said, "I won't tell the company & I'll buy a replacement at Lowe's and plant it myself." I told him I appreciated it... and then waited and waited. A few months later I texted Nick asking when I might get my replacement cactus; he said he was on the other side of town working on roofs, but he'd get to it. Well, it's been over 9 months! I've since bought a cactus and replanted it myself. I realize accidents happen but at least have the courtesy to say, "Hey, sorry, we knocked over your cactus." I'd have been okay with that. As for Nick, the project manager, I took you for your word and you didn't follow through. I recommend that if something similar happens to you, call the company directly to get results.
