Leak!!!
Jared A.

This company recently completed a new roof on my townhome complex just a few months ago. The process of this roofing job was awful, our entire community was littered with roofing debris, garbage, and my homes ductwork was filled with roofing particles that blew through my air ducts and all throughout the interior of my home for weeks. That's not the worst part. Today I returned to my home after a night of rain to find a pool of water on my bed, which was leaking from the ceiling. The leaking water soaked entirely through my comforter and new mattress. The leaked water is disgusting and has certainly ruined my bed.. So far, Phoenix Roofing and Repair aka AZ "Best" Roofers has flat out refused to replace my ruined comforter and mattress. Where we land on the roofing and interior ceiling repairs is yet to be determined. This is just the latest of what has been a terrible experience working with this company.

Color matched roof pipes and newly pitched flat roof in back.

My neighbor recommended them after a top notch new roof covered by insurance. They managed it all with the Insurance company. They got it completely covered on my house too. I also had an amazing experience after they were able to fit me into their schedule. Once they started though, I got really great response on anything I asked right down to the last detail on the final punch-list. The only issue is that I just wanted to mention that it seems the texture of the quality of wood used to replace the soffits and the two sheets of plywood under our entry way had lots of knots that when painted look really ugly compared to the quality of wood that was initially used when the house was built. I assume they overlooked it by accident and I didn't realize the implications until I had it painted. My painters tried to smooth surfaces, which were in high traffic areas, but it still didn't look as good as the original wood. In the end, they build in a $400 wood credit which was helpful. We had them do extra facia replacement, add pitch to a flat roof, and subcontract gutters for a fair price. My roof looks great.

Our experience with Phoenix Roofing and Repair was great! They did an excellent job replacing our roof. But that's not even the best part: they meticulously documented prior storm damage to the roof (of which we weren't even aware) and provided critical assistance in building a claim that, after multiple denials and appeals, was eventually accepted by our home owner's insurance. I couldn't believe it! I would highly recommend Phoenix Roofing and Repair.

Damage where they ran into our parking awning.

I do not recommend this company. Very disrespectful. They are currently replacing our communities rooftops and have been damaging other areas of our property everyday they are here. One of their guys ran into our parking awning two separate times and caused damage to our property. They also ripped out one of the concrete posts in our parking lot. I witnessed them do it, yet they proceeded to tell me that they didn't hit anything. And that it's okay. I would not trust this company to come onto my property again and I do not recommend. Our entire community and HOA regrets hiring them. The damage to the parking awning in the photo below was not pre existing damage. That damage happened on 7/3/24 when your crew was clearing out to leave for the day. Another excuse and unwillingness to take responsibility.

I hired Four Peaks Roofing in February to replace my roof. I worked with Jason in the office and…read moreBrent, my project manager. We specifically agreed to install the highest-quality underlayment, and I signed the work order reflecting that agreement. The crew began work on a Monday. On Tuesday evening, after they had left, I noticed the underlayment installed on my roof was not the product I had purchased. I checked the packaging, confirmed it was the wrong material, and emailed Brent. To his credit, he responded quickly, acknowledged the mistake, and said he would notify the foreman and owner. I followed up the next morning to ask how it would be corrected, but for nearly two and a half days I received no communication while the crew continued installing the wrong underlayment. There were no calls, updates, or explanation of how they intended to resolve the issue. Late Friday, I was told they were working with the manufacturer to extend the warranty on the installed underlayment to match the warranty of the premium product I had originally purchased. While I appreciated that solution, I was disappointed by the lack of communication during those critical days. After the roof was completed, I noticed several tile corners looked rough and unfinished. I sent Brent photos, and he agreed they needed additional detail work. The crew returned the following week, and to their credit, they significantly improved the appearance of the tile corners. Before the project began, I had also shown Brent water damage and rot around a vented soffit board beneath one of my roof overhangs. Although I later learned they normally do not replace vented soffit boards because they are not considered part of the roof, they agreed to replace mine as a goodwill gesture because of the underlayment mistake. Unfortunately, the first repair was poorly done. The installer used the wrong thickness of material, installed it unevenly, and relied heavily on caulk to fill gaps. The workmanship was poor enough that I removed the repair myself before the caulk had fully cured and purchased the correct materials to replace it properly. Around the same time, I discovered numerous roofing nails and staples protruding through my eaves that had not been there before the installation. Brent agreed this needed to be corrected. A crew later arrived after dark, without notifying us, and repaired the fasteners using flashlights. While I appreciated the quick response, showing up unannounced at our home at night to perform repairs demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for us as clients. A few weeks into the project, Jason called to discuss my experience. I explained that I chose Four Peaks because of its reputation and because both he and Brent had seemed honest and trustworthy throughout the sales process. Unfortunately, the execution of the project did not match those expectations. Jason apologized for the underlayment mistake and offered to have their carpenter reinstall the soffit board. I declined because I had already purchased the materials and planned to complete the repair myself. Two days later, however, my wife and I were awakened at approximately 6:00 a.m. by loud hammering outside our home. I found another Four Peaks employee reinstalling the soffit board without our knowledge or permission. To be fair, the second repair was significantly better, but the lack of communication was frustrating. Four Peaks ultimately upgraded the manufacturer warranty from 30 years to 50 years and matched it with an extended workmanship warranty, which I appreciated. They also charged me for the lower-priced underlayment that was actually installed instead of the premium product I had purchased. No other compensation offered. However, when the invoice arrived, it still reflected the original higher price, requiring me to contact Brent again to have it corrected. I was also told I would receive a project completion package after the work was finished. It is now July, and I still have not received it. After recent storms, I inspected my attic and discovered the rotted wood behind the soffit had never actually been removed. Instead, it had simply been pushed inward and covered by the new material. I've included photos showing the tile corners before they were repaired, the protruding nails and staples, the soffit repairs, and the remaining rot. Overall, Brent was responsive throughout much of the project, and several employees made efforts to resolve the issues. I appreciate those efforts. However, the repeated mistakes, poor communication, inconsistent workmanship, billing error, unfinished repairs, and multiple unannounced visits overshadowed the positives. I hope my experience helps future homeowners make an informed decision.

Our deck is more than 40 years old and had multiple layers of coatings applied over the years, yet it continued to leak. Louis took the time to thoroughly inspect the deck, explain our options, and recommend a solution that made sense. We never felt pressured--just well informed. The crew's workmanship was outstanding. They carefully removed the existing railing, cut away old flashing and failed coatings, installed new plywood where needed, added new flashing, applied a new waterproof coating system, and then reinstalled the railing. Throughout the project they were professional, efficient, and extremely courteous. What impressed us most was their attention to detail and communication. The work was completed ahead of schedule, the job site was kept clean, and the finished deck looks beautiful. Most importantly, after our first major storm since the project was completed, we didn't have a single leak. If you're looking for a roofing or waterproofing contractor who is honest, knowledgeable, and stands behind their work, we highly recommend L&R Roofing Solutions. Louis and his team will take great care of you.

So after looking around we came across L&R Roofing. We needed an inspection fast and the actual repair done even faster because the Arizona monsoon was about to be in full swing and we were incredibly stressed. Right off the bat during the inspection, Luis was so honest and told us we absolutely did not need an entire new roof and warned us not to let anyone try to sell us one. Nowadays it is so hard to find companies that truly want to help you rather than just make make a sale, so that was such a huge relief and let us know right away that he wasn't going to BS us. He also went above and beyond during that walk-through. Our home inspector had told us we only had one slipped tile, but when Luis got up there, he found a handful of them and just pushed them all back into place for us. Slipped tiles can cause such major issues down the road, so it was incredibly nice of him to do that. It made me feel so good that he was looking out for our whole roof and not just the one spot we asked him to inspect--honestly, he seemed way more aware of what was going on up there than our actual home inspector was! Since the mold was over a bathroom, he gave us a fair price to remove a section of the underlayment and check all the vents in that area, and we were super happy with that plan. Luis unfortunately had a family emergency come up, but he still made sure to coordinate everything with Victor, who managed to get us on the schedule the very day a big storm was supposed to hit. Victor and his crew showed up at 6 AM and were just so nice to work with. He explained the exact damage to us and took pictures of every single step of the process so we could see everything they were doing. It was such a massive weight off our shoulders when he confirmed he found some water damage but it could easily replace the wood and seal it up right then and there. We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who helped us get this done so quickly and we will definitely be keeping them on speed dial for any future roof work!
