Phoenix Roofing did a good job and the project went smoothly. Unfortunately, one bad incident made me downgrade a perfect review. When our roof was done, the crew left immediately. Then I walked around our property to pick up any stray roofing material. That's when I discovered 2 pillar cactus were missing from my front yard. When I walked to where they'd been growing, I found a mound of gravel. Upon brushing the gravel aside, I saw the broken stumps of my 2 cacti. They'd likely been knocked over when roofing material was tossed from the roof. Did the crew think I wouldn't notice I was missing a tall cactus? When Nick/project mgr., came for a walk-through I told him and he said, "I won't tell the company & I'll buy a replacement at Lowe's and plant it myself." I told him I appreciated it... and then waited and waited. A few months later I texted Nick asking when I might get my replacement cactus; he said he was on the other side of town working on roofs, but he'd get to it. Well, it's been over 9 months! I've since bought a cactus and replanted it myself. I realize accidents happen but at least have the courtesy to say, "Hey, sorry, we knocked over your cactus." I'd have been okay with that. As for Nick, the project manager, I took you for your word and you didn't follow through. I recommend that if something similar happens to you, call the company directly to get results. Telling the project manager about issues apparently isn't enough and simply becomes swept under carpet. read more

The sales team was not only pushy but honestly came off as unprofessional and almost disgusting sales people the way they spoke, the pressure tactics and the lack of basic respect was shocking. This company recently completed a new roof on my townhome complex just a few months ago. The process of this roofing job was awful, our entire community was littered with roofing debris, garbage, and my homes ductwork was filled with roofing particles that blew through my air ducts and all throughout the interior of my home for weeks. That's not the worst part. Today I returned to my home after a night of rain to find a pool of water on my bed, which was leaking from the ceiling. The leaking water soaked entirely through my comforter and new mattress. The leaked water is disgusting and has certainly ruined my bed.. So far, Phoenix Roofing and Repair aka AZ "Best" Roofers has flat out refused to replace my ruined comforter and mattress. My neighbor recommended them after a top notch new roof covered by insurance. They managed it all with the Insurance company. They got it completely covered on my house too. I also had an amazing experience after they were able to fit me into their schedule. Once they started though, I got really great response on anything I asked right down to the last detail on the final punch-list. The only issue is that I just wanted to mention that it seems the texture of the quality of wood used to replace the soffits and the two sheets of plywood under our entry way had lots of knots that when painted look really ugly compared to the quality of wood that was initially used when the house was built. I assume they overlooked it by accident and I didn't realize the implications until I had it painted. My painters tried to smooth surfaces, which were in high traffic areas, but it still didn't look as good as the original wood. In the end, they build in a $400 wood credit which was helpful. We had them do extra facia replacement, add pitch to a flat roof, and subcontract gutters for a fair price. My roof looks great. read more

It's dumb to be a jerk and a bully in public. It's absolutely moronic to be a bully and a jerk in public driving your company vehicle. My family was blowing up our paddleboard at the lake this weekend. We had to hike up and down a hill to do so and we were just minding our business blowing up our boards when this very fragile man was supposed to be backing his truck and trailer into the water. We were parked off to the side to blow up our boards. 6 vehicles other than his came and went with zero issues. This guy kept turning his wheel the wrong way to land his boat in the water. He was clearly embarrassed that he couldn't do it so he chose to yell at my husband about being "in the way". He name called and his buddies in the back clearly knew he was out of line and that he couldn't figure out how to back his truck into the water. I received a report with photos, and an estimate for the job that was clear, comprehensive, and competitive. I have an older roof that was missing a few shingles from some storm damage. We began by investigating whether my homeowner's insurance might cover the replacement cost. It didn't. Jeff graciously offered to repair the small area that was missing the shingles AT NO COST TO ME! And he did it promptly. They replaced and repaired multiple roof tops in our townhome community in 2024 in Mesa. The total they received for the work was 412,000.00, definitely not a small job. During the walkthrough prior to collecting the final check, multiple issues were observed with flashing and trim, and a punch list was generated that the contractor agreed to repair prior to completion and receiving the final check. The contractor reported that the punch list had been completed some time later, and collected their final check. Within a few weeks one of the homeowners pointed out that in fact many of the punch list items involving improperly installed diverters and flashing had not been taken care of. When contacted about the issues, Mr Guthrie stated that "all items within the scope of work had been completed" and that we were just misunderstanding what should have been done He also stated that he would "Be happy to meet the ROC (registrar of contractors)" when I warned him that I would file a complaint if they did not address the issues with their work. The ROC inspector came out promptly after I filed the complaint, and agreed with everything we had been saying from the beginning about areas we pointed out and found others in addition. Phoenix roofing finally came out and did everything they should have done in the first place but only because they were forced to by the ROC or they would have lost their license. I would avoid this company like the plague, they are dishonest, will not respond to emails once they have been paid, but you can count on multiple calls and emails when they are waiting for a check. read more

I do not recommend this company. Very disrespectful. They are currently replacing our communities rooftops and have been damaging other areas of our property everyday they are here. One of their guys ran into our parking awning two separate times and caused damage to our property. They also ripped out one of the concrete posts in our parking lot. I witnessed them do it, yet they proceeded to tell me that they didn't hit anything. And that it's okay. I would not trust this company to come onto my property again and I do not recommend. Abraham gave me his mobile number and I was able to communicate before and after work hours at my convenience. They were extremely responsive. When they loaded the roof, it caused some drywall damage - this was not really their fault, the weight moved a 2x4 in the attic and it popped through our ceiling causing some drywall damage. Devan sent over a drywall and paint team within two days - it looks like nothing ever happen. On the day of the actual install - the team was incredible. They completed the entire roof in a single day. They cleaned the entire property after the work was complete.
