It's a very cute restaurant located at the winery. Outdoor patio is spacious and relaxing with plants, trees, and string lights. Food overall was pretty tasty but unfortunately the quality was not good or fresh. We ordered grilled octopus, ceviche, flatbread pizza, and calamari to start. I liked the flatbread pizza the best. For entrees, we had steak and salmon. Steak was cooked perfectly, quite chewy but still delicious. The salmon, on the other hand, was not fresh and lacked quality, freshness and flavor. Service was cordial but rushed. Even though the place wasn't packed, our waitress was overwhelmed waiting on other tables because they were understaffed. Portions were good sizes and also price was pretty reasonable. I would actually come back here when I'm in the area just because it is still a nice restaurant with decent food. I would suggest maybe skip the seafood dishes in particular since this establishment probably doesn't get the freshest quality produce.

Absolutely devastated to hear this place closed. The service was always 10/10 and the Sangria was phenomenal! Even the food was cooked to each person's liking. The BEST salmon filet I've ever had. Uncomplicated seasonings yet perfectly cooked! Going to miss the beauty of this place as well.

Fantastic service by Bri. Good ambiance. Food was mainly a hit! Mushroom gnocchi - I ordered this and was underwhelmed. It didn't taste bad but didn't really taste like anything, certainly not mushrooms. Maybe change to a ravioli? Quite bland and very disappointing Mac'n'cheese: OMG SO EFFIN GOOD! The perfect amount/quality of bacon took this to next level and love that you used cellentani pasta to hold extra cheesy goodness. It was seriously soooo good Brussel sprouts: BOMB. Cooked perfectly where they tasted roasted but weren't burned and had a layer of sweetness to them Baked brie: I mean...melted cheese in puff pastry? Add yummy berry spread? Amazing Everything: I didn't get my friends reviews as we were too busy chatting away but everyone looked like they loved their meal! Cake fee: $25 to cut and serve a cake we brought? A little exorbitant. $15 feels better for this service.

Aside from the hostess having an issue with our request to move tables, telling us tables are reserved (when that's not the case) and failing to return to assist, we've had pleasant experiences on our visit. I hate that I forgot our server's name today as we've not only had him a few times, he provides excellent service each and every time. The food here is pretty good and by far my favorite is the calamari. It's cooked to perfection and well-seasoned...a hit every time.

We came here tonight with family for my husband's birthday after Bolero was not able to accommodate walk-ins. The wait here was only 30 minutes long on a Saturday night, and that probably should have been a red flag. We ordered a bottle of 2019 Muscat Canelli, calamari, oysters natural, avensole Caesar, avensole burger, smokehouse burger, salmon and duck. My favorite dishes of the night were the oysters (so fresh and delightful) and Caesar salad (really unique and delicious with the pumpkin seeds and bacon). My avensole burger was huge, but it was not seasoned with salt and just tasted like meat. The other family members who ordered burgers doused theirs in ketchup to give them flavor. Sure, the meat was fresh, but that was it and all you tasted. We also felt that the serving of fries on the side was stingy, which was unfortunate because that was the best part of the dish. My husband ordered the duck, and it came out well-done. It was tough and dry, and the accompaniments just did not pair well with the dish overall. Service was mediocre. We asked two different servers for knives, which neither brought us. They did not take away any of the empty plates until the very end of the meal. It was nice of them to give us a complimentary slice of cheesecake for my husband's special day. This dessert ended up being overwhelmingly sweet (funny, in comparison to their bland burgers). There are lots of spots outside the restaurant to take beautiful photos, and parking is plentiful. For the price, I can't really say I would recommend this place and do not understand how it is rated so highly.

No wait going on a Friday after we attended their popup speakeasy (there was nothing about it that was speakeasy, just an outdoor venue) . Got seated in 5 minutes. Ordered our food and drinks. Drinks came right away. It was 6:45 when we entered the restaurant, we didn't get our food for 1 hour. I even asked the waitress what happened to our food she said it was coming out just now and it didn't come to us for another 10 minutes. Avensol burger it was good. The fries were the best, but not worth $30

Brunch is no longer the name for a meal you eat that's a little late for breakfast and a little early for lunch. It's now really just an excuse to drink before noon without feeling like a degenerate. There are even restaurants that are solely open just for brunch. These restaurants tend to cater to the "linner" crowd as well. It's not open too early and not open too late. The Restaurant at Avensole is one of these. My wife decided she wanted to drink before noon the last time we visited Temecula. This is not uncommon in Temecula. It is also, for this reason, that Temecula has no shortage of these eateries. Although most places were booked the day before, I was able to get a 10:30 am reservation at Avensole the night before on Open Table. We had been to the winery before but this was the first for the restaurant. The place looks wonderful. The dining room is a covered open air area with a beautiful fountain in the middle that is exposed, letting sunlight in. The service was very friendly and attentive. I feel like three stars is actually a little low, because I liked this place and I'd come back, but some of the food was not quite 4 star worthy. I ordered the Avensole Benedict that was just ok. It was served on two very small pieces of dry bread with pre-cooked lukewarm warm bacon and dry home style potatoes. The eggs however were nicely poached. My wife had the lox plate which looked great, because it was served with a healthy portion of lox. Unfortunately, the lox was not up to standard. In fact she mentioned the lox we buy at Costco is much better. On the other hand I did order a waffle appetizer that was amazing and my Bloody Mary was one of the best I've ever had. It was served with the same bacon on my Benedict, several olives and jalepenos. For some reason, when the bacon is soaking in tomato juice and vodka- not that bad. I also tried my friends steak and eggs, and the steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I enjoyed my meal at Avensole. Id like to go back and try different things. However, I believe there was a reason i was able to get weekend brunch reservations at this place rather than a few others up the road that I know are better. However, if given the chance, or looking for a nice place to have a nice meal amongst the vineyards, I'd give it another try.

    Avensole Rendezvous sparkling wine

I was in Temecula to attend a concert at Pechanga Resort but was staying 7 miles away so I used OpenTable to find places for lunch and dinner. Avensole came up and the ratings were very good and the menu looked interesting so I booked a table for 1 on Friday (Oct. 27). The main portion of the restaurant is in an open air terrace. They had the clear screens down because it was in the 50s - 60s. It made for a crisp dining experience. There was a guitarist off in the corner ... he was very good. I opted for the jar of Osetra Siberian caviar ... you could order a taste for $20 or a jar for $100. I opted for the latter because I love caviar. I ordered a glass of their Rendezvous sparkling wine to go with the caviar. This was a crisp sparkling wine; I liked it. A waiter brought my caviar and I had to ask "Is this the jar?" because the plate had a pearl spoon with a dollop of caviar. The correct plate came shortly thereafter. I guess not many people order the "jar"? It was good caviar and was served with crisps of puff pastry and I believe sour cream. All I need are toast points so I never use any of the accoutrements that come with caviar. The pieces of puff pastry were perfect. I chose the Elk Wellington for my entrée; I love game and the Wellington preparation. Hopefully, it's done well. To pair with the elk, I added a side of grilled asparagus and a glass of 2020 Retaggio, their award winning blend of zinfandel and cabernet sauvignon. I'd never had a blend of these grapes so it was a "must try". The wine was lightish is coloration but full of fruit and spice. I think the zinfandel predominated but that's fine; I love zins. The elk was lean and tender and perfectly cooked. I asked for the rare side of medium rare and that's what I received. There were four large pieces (two would have been perfect). Their take on a Wellington was to use prosciutto and sautéed spinach in addition to the duxelles. I'm not a fan of prosciutto in a Wellington because it adds unwanted salt. The medallions were served on a bed of garlic potato puree and surrounded by demi sauce. My issue was that the puff pastry was not flaky; it was soggy. Was that because I asked for it other than medium rare or because it picked up moisture from the potato puree? I'm pretty particular about Wellingtons because I make it from time to time. It's a lot of work and everything must come together to achieve perfection. I didn't have room for dessert so I just had a cup of coffee. What did I think? I loved the ambiance, the music, and the food was very good. The wines were excellent. I just wish the puff pastry in the Elk Wellington was less soggy and would have been happy with just two pieces. Four is too much food for this senior citizen. My meal cost $238.18 and I added a $50 tip. I can give Avensole 4.5 stars; I enjoyed my time here.

After first stopping at another restaurant, I checked Yelp and found this super cute place! Their pictures of the food looked amazing and I was worried it would be too good to be true. But nonetheless we ran off and came to Avensole. Although there are arrows pointing for which way to turn for the restaurant, the building itself is kind of vague. It is the one the farthest to the left with the outdoor patio. Check in at the huge front "desk" and get seated! I love the fact that they have open kitchen to see what is going on. The patio itself is also very very pretty and not too loud! We got Drinks: Red wine (5/5) Tropical breeze (5/5) fruity and not watered down! Apps: Cheese board (4/5) gorgeous but very expensive Food: Brie grilled cheese (4/5) Yummy but very expensive BBQ chicken flatbread (3/5) cream sauce base wasn't the best Butchers choice flatbread (4/5) not enough "stuff" on it Chicken club (5/5) huge sandwich, super tasty Avensole Burger (3/5) meat was dry Service was great, honestly everything was just perfect. The food was so pretty and so was the view. Only tip is that this place is very very expensive for food, but we'll worth it if you want to spend the money!

Bree is a 5 star waitress and it's absolutely beautiful here. I loved my wine!! The food is mediocre at best. BBQ chicken flatbread was soggy. Ceviche was weird with squid mixed with salmon. I definitely would not recommend it. The flourless chocolate cake for bf's birthday was delicious!!

The food here was no joke. I was super impressed! First we went for a wine tasting in the tasting room which was super spacious both inside and out. We had two stroller with us and we were able to still stand at the bar and do our tasting. The staff was SUPER friendly in helping us select our tastings, give tasting notes, providing new glasses etc. I enjoyed a lot of the wine we tasted and it seems like they had something for every kind of wine drinker. Great selection. The restaurant was by far the highlight! Great cocktail list and they offer all their wine to enjoy there as well. We ordered for the table, a barbacoa flatbread, brussel sprouts, chicken club sandwich with fries, and the celebration salad. The barbacoa flatbread was awesome. I would eat that every day, though it was a tad on the greasy side it was still so good. The chicken on the sandwich was nice and juicy and the bacon was crisp. Fries were perfectly crunchy. The salad was nice and fresh, I thought it could use a little more dressing but the beets were delicious and sweet. Loved the view overlooking the tasting room and courtyard area. Very family friendly.

Service was great they allow dogs on the patio. Calamari good. Beef Wellington raw with raw dough. I like this restaurant but not this time. They did not charge us for the beef but chef take it off the menu if you can't cook it properly.

Chicken Club sandwich w/ side salad w/ white balsamic vinaigrette - very good

Stopped in for a mid-week lunch. It was a warm day, but chilly on the shaded patio, so sat inside. We started w/ the roasted Brussel sprouts, with pomegranate reduction and goat cheese - really tasty! Then split the Chicken Club sandwich, topped w/ a generous piece of perfectly cooked chicken breast, butter lettuce, house made pickles, bacon, tomato and aioli on a brioche bun (bun was a bit dry), but loved the with a side salad w/ white balsamic dressing - yum! My hubby had a glass of the Zinfandel Rose, and I had the Sangiovese. Our server, Hannah, was very friendly and helpful, and service was quick. Recommend!

SHORT VERSION: Wilson Creek Manor is an Avantstay property…read more "Unparalleled service" is supposedly one of their hallmarks but all I got was very poor service. Oh, and by the way, the previous owner MURDERED someone on this property. LONG VERSION: Booked Wilson Creek Manor directly through Avantstay's website but the day before check-in I got an email saying they had to cancel my reservation because of a broken water heater. Why wouldn't you CALL instead of just emailing? My reservation was less than 2 days away, call and leave a voicemail. I called Avantstay immediately after I saw the email and the call gets routed to some overseas call center. The person can't help and says they'll reach out to the dept that handles this and I should hear back within the hour. 1.5 hours later I still haven't received a callback so I call again. Same response, said I should hear back in an hour. 1.5 hours later, still no call, I call again, now they say I should receive a call by 5pm (5.5 hours later). My check-in date is the NEXT DAY! 5pm might be too late because what if they don't call me back and everyone goes home for the day? Then they change their answer to someone will call back in an hour. But I've heard that one before. FINALLY someone who can help calls back and finds me a replacement property. After we hangup I discover a hiccup. One of the families staying with us was planning to bring their dog they noticed that the new property doesn't allow pets. We paid a pet deposit so this is something that Avantstay should've caught and pointed out. That family had to find a last minute accommodation for their dog so that was another added inconvenience. Another hiccup: I was told I'd receive check-in instructions the next morning. On the way to the property my wife asks for the details of how to get inside the property so she could send it to the other families. Realized I didn't receive those details. Had to call Avantstay once again. Another inconvenience. This is all BEFORE we even stepped foot onto the property. While on the property we discovered someone was MURDERED in that house. This spooked everyone and no one was able to sleep well. Here's the evidence: https://patch.com/california/temecula/murder-victim-alleged-scam-artist-accused-of-stealing-before "Unparalleled service", yeah right. Stay away from Avantstay.

Let me start with, I'm horrible at planning anything! My fiancé and I went to view this venue and…read morewhen we tell you we fell in love with how gorgeous it was it's an understatement. The important thing to note here is that they do a lot of weddings! Towards the beginning they were undergoing a lot of changes within staff and it was difficult initially to contact them or get a response which was extremely frustrating. Once it got closer to our wedding day we got a new coordinator named Tessa and she basically saved my sanity because from that moment on I had no issues and felt so prioritized. Be patient with them in the beginning because you're one of many brides they speak to on a daily basis. Once you're wedding day is actually there, it will be worth every single penny. The food was amazing, the DJ is so good and attentive, our day of coordinator Hayley was also really nice and Victoria made sure to ask me if I needed anything she was there to make it happen. I can't stress enough how incredibly beautiful our wedding was and every single guest told us the pictures of the venue we sent did not do it justice. Also, get the horse carriage it's such a beautiful moment I shared with my dad then with my husband. We saw Tessa the next day when I went to pick up some things we left behind and she asked where we were going for our honeymoon and literally within the hour of us leaving she emailed us so many great ideas and recommendations. Lake Oak Meadows is lucky to have someone like her that is so kind, reassuring, goes above and beyond expectations, and genuinely you can tell she loves what she does. Thank you to everyone who helped create our magical day sorry if I was a stressed wreck initially but you guys definitely delivered and made me look good because like I said I can't plan anything accordingly. To see how great it turned out you guys definitely know how to make everything feel perfect. 12.2.21

Grab a bottle of their Grand Cuvée Reserve if you want something bubbly or my personal favorite the 17 Dolcetto Reserve (an 88point). MMM baked fruit and toasted oak. The property itself feels peaceful the second you arrive. The lake, the oak trees, the open sky -- it all comes together in a way that feels natural and romantic without trying too hard. There's something about being surrounded by rolling hills and water that just makes the moment feel bigger and more meaningful. One of the BEST parts about Lake Oak Meadows is how many perfect little spots there are. You can walk along the lake at sunset, find a quiet corner under the trees, or use the rustic barn and open fields as your backdrop. The light in the evening is especially stunning -- soft, golden, and perfect for photos you'll look back on forever. It doesn't feel crowded or overly formal. It feels calm. Intimate. Like you can take your time and really be in the moment. That's what makes it such a special place to ask such an important question. If you want a proposal setting that's naturally beautiful and unforgettable without feeling staged, Lake Oak Meadows is truly something special. They have options to include many things in their package, so you can really get an all-inclusive day. The bridal Suite was extremely pretty and bright. It had a full bathroom, and chairs and mirrors for getting ready. The Grooms Suite was awesome nice, and had a foosball table. After, we stopped and had a glass of wine under pretty patio area. She kept everything on schedule and really made the day of our wedding as stress-free as possible. The floral and design teams did a great job taking my Pinterest board and making it come to life. I will note they missed a few minor details, like forgetting to top my cake with flowers, but given there was so much to do, I was not upset by that. The catering was fine as far as wedding food goes. We loved the pianist and late-night tacos, and the DJ was very nice. We also went with one of their included photography studios (LMP). We loved the photos, and we just paid extra for more photos and to get a videography team as well. Overall, the venue as a whole was gorgeous, and the staff members were all very nice and professional. Unlike some of the other venues we toured, VDA is just a wedding venue, so they have the process down pat. They are efficient and know how to cater weddings to your taste. Also, you get the venue to yourself on your special day, so it is very private. If you are looking for a lovely family-owned wedding venue in Temecula, this is definitely the place for you.

As soon as I walked inside, the host Dakota was super cordial and got me seated at their outdoor patio beneath sun shades, next to the vineyard and I had a perfect unobstructed view of the jazz performer on stage. After seating, I ordered a glass of their signature Cabernet Sauvignon and the Fromagé plate, which was presented shortly afterwards. The fromagé plate had a variety of cheeses, seedless red grapes, dried apricots, fig preserve spread and additionally a plate of bread... perfect for sharing or not. The saxophone player played contemporary music which was all entertaining as I noshed and sipped vino. Their signature Cabernet Sauvignon was quiet lovely; aroma and depth of flavors was perfect with the fromagé ...love!! After the lunch, a stroll around the grounds to see more vineyards, felt the breeze on a hot day was nice. Inside the gift shop there was so much to peruse through, but some of the stuff will definitely get a giggle out of you. There's an art gallery connected to the main building. I wouldn't call it an art gallery but many walls were dedicated to showcasing local artists work depicting the Temecula Valley lifestyle. In the same room is the wine tasting bar and most of the people inside the art gallery seemed to be more interested in wine tasting than the art lol This was my second time visiting, both times, I had a great first impression and last impression from the ambiance, food and service. Service from the staff members were all courteous, helpful and just wonderful, All was amazing, Cheers!!Recommend
