Ponte Winery is a family-owned winery that spans 300 acres in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. It's part of a huge space that includes an inn, restaurant, wine tasting room ($30 for 6 tastings), walking paths, and spaces for private events and weddings. There's also an elevated deck area that you can dine in starting at 12pm. We made reservations beforehand and were seated with a view of the garden. CALAMARI ($20) - this was firmer but thicker than other calamari I've had. I really liked this one dipped with the jalapeño lime aioli and I liked the shishito peppers for that bit of kick. 5/5 TRUFFLE MUSHROOM PIZZA ($18) - we added pepperoni on top and the pizza was decent. 3.5/5 BOLOGNESE ($30) - the bolognese was flavorful and there were huge portions. There was so much meat on it that it pretty much covered the pasta itself. 4.5/5 We had a wine flight ($25) and I liked the pas doux and the vermentino. Beautiful winery with an excellent selection of red and white wines. Wine tasting is $30, but if you do the winery tour it is $60 and totally worth it. They take you around the winery in a golf cart and explain the winemaking process while you sip on your wine taste pours. They do have a restaurant if you want to dine, reservations highly recommended. We did not taste their food, but there was a lot of people enjoying the dining area. My friends are club members with Ponte Winery. They have perks to bring a guest and of course I'm feeling extra special to get invited. It's nestled in the charming quaint wine country in Temecula with gorgeous mountain views and vineyards. If you love drinking wine, this is heaven for you! They even have an Inn if you prefer to stay the night after wine tastings. Plenty of great restaurants and bars on site as well. We arrived about 1030am on a Saturday. Went straight to a buffet brunch they offer at the Inn's restaurant. Not sure the name of it, but it was quite delicious! I believe it was about $36 per person. Thought it was worth it because you can stay as long as you want before they close. Service was impeccable provided by Hunter. We decided to head to the tasting room. Kim kindly assisted us in our tastings. Our favorite was the Angry Wife white wine. Very settled and not too sweet. My friends received their monthly wine bottles and we were able to pop a bottle and enjoy it at the restaurant while we ate more food. The managers came to our table and introduced themselves. They were so nice. For our appetizers, we couldn't pass up on the Brussels sprouts and crab cakes. The Brussels sprouts were quite different with a crunch served on the side of a yummy sauce. A complimentary garlic rosemary bread and cucumbers topped with tuna were to die for. Next, we headed to the pool to cool down and made some new friends while sipping on more wine. This was such a great perk! The outdoor views are so peaceful and beautiful here. We looooved taking our glasses outside after each tasting and walking around the property. The views, the breeze, the wine... it was all just a vibe! Kim helped us during our tastings and she was so friendly and knowledgeable. Normally I don't leave 4 Star reviews for a restaurant where the server is rude, didn't really care that we were celebrating a birthday, and that we had to beg to be able to purchase a dessert but this winery is so beautiful.. Incredible views, well shaded outdoor area with misters and ceiling fans which summer to perfectly keep bugs away. We loved the food, we had a great time with a couple other guest tables who were very friendly to us. The cheese board is a fantastic and authentically local blend of cheeses, meats, olives, honey, nuts, and these strange yet delicious green things with a stem and a flavorful pouch filled with something spicy and crunchy (sorry, I just don't know what it's called but it was great!). By far my FAVORITE winery of them all and mainly because of the AMAZING food they serve here! Make sure to have a reservation before you get here, makes it so much easier and no waiting if it's busy. Everything on the menu is so good! Highly recommend getting the calamari appetizer to start OR if you're just looking for something to snack on you cant go wrong with their charcuterie board (you can get it with or without meats). The grounds are beautiful and there's an upper deck you can go up to sit at after you're done eating to enjoy the scenery. Have been a member at Ponte for around 19 years if that tells you anything about what I think of the place. The wines themselves have evolved in the best of ways over the years. I originally became a member because of the Doppietta and the Super T, but so many of their other wines are just so great now. The winery itself has also evolved over the years. The beautiful outdoor restaurant has always been excellent. The pull apart bread and dip are worth it by themselves. The grounds are gorgeous and i honestly love just being there. It makes a day trip feel like a vacation. The Inn is my favorite place to stay in the world. The Boquet restaurant is equally as good as the restaurant by the tasting room and the Cellar Bar is my favorite hangout in all of Temecula. Try the pb&j old fashioned, I wish I could make this at home. I know I sound like I work for Ponte, it i really just love the place and the folks that work there. The membership is worth it just for the wines, but you also get discounts at all the restaurants and shop and the Inn. There are so many great wines in Temecula, but if I had to choose one place to be a member, this would be it. read more

This was my first time at Ponte Winery and really enjoyed our lunch and wine tasting. We had the following: -Rib bye steak, seafood pasta, lamb chops, and salmon plate. For dessert, loved the mango, raspberry and lemon sorbet with fresh strawberries and blueberries. This was the perfect dessert for the hot weather in the area. I was thoroughly impressed with Ponte Winery. When you drive up, the property is massive, beautiful, and clean! I found the restaurant right away amongst the vines and pretty roses. The outdoor patio setting was absolutely stunning! All tables have shade, and they have misters!! It was in the 90s, so the misters were very much appreciated! I saw a few couples checking out the venue for a potential wedding site; I say yes, go for it!! Our waitress, Ashlee, was on point!! Kudos to her, wonderful customer service! I ordered a wine flight and Ashlee helped me pick out great wines. I loved them so much we ended up buying 3 bottles!! Lunch started with fresh bread with a thick dip that was so yummy! This place is massive. The tasting room is huge. As you walk to the back, you're greeted with a nice outdoor space but first, walking past the outdoor dining room. Tons of places to sit. We sat upstairs overlooking the garden. They didn't have much sweet wines so I opted for a glass of moscato. The moscato was more sparkling than flat. My friend, who is a member got Beverino which was extremely sweet like a dessert wine. I probably would have gotten that had I tasted it first. They don't allow pets. We had a whole four days in Temecula and we came here last because it's only open on weekends and because my friend recommended it she said it was her favorite when she was in Temecula so we had to give it a try and I am glad we did! Out of all the wineries I went to that week. This was the only one where I liked all of the samples of wine that I tried and I wanted a bottle of each one. So that was interesting. I even liked the sweet ones! The lady serving us in the tasting room Was amazing, shout out to Tiffany! I was going to buy a couple bottles anyway of my favorite because that's what I do since I had a car and would not have to check a bag and that way I would remember what I like and that's when she told me that I might as well become a member because to become a member, all you have to do is buy two bottles and then do it again in October and December and then I can continue after that or I don't have to. Good sales tactic! So now I am a member of Ponte winery! I love that you can get 20% off the dining 20% off the hotel and when I come back, I can get free samples or a glass of wine and can enjoy the pool free of charge . The gift shop is really nice very pretty! Outside in the vineyard it's really pretty as well! I love the venues! I do love the Members Only area now as well. So pretty great service and I loved all the wines that I tried. A magical evening at ponte winery for my nieces wedding celebration during sunset hour. Flowers lined the walk way up to the arch where the ceremony took place. Seating was in the grass, which was nice however the grass was wet and my heels were sinking (not a good combo). The ceremony was about half an hour and then we moved over to the cocktail hour which was in the courtyard which had some bench seating and tables for mingling around. They turned on the big heaters all around as the night started to get a little chilly. The reception was in an inclosed room with tables and chairs around the dance floor. A sweets table and the bar were off to the side and a Photo Booth in the corner. A fun and intimate setting to make this wedding exactly what my niece wanted and the staff was so accommodating the whole time we were there. Now the food: pre planned meals for the wedding which was either chicken or steak but they had options for people with allergies. I got a mixed green salad and gluten free pasta with veggies which came out hot and had flavor. I like how the winery has an allergy menu for the wedding guest if needed. Also note the wine was really good from this winery. We were able to pick from a few varieties from whites to reds, I had Sangiovese which was closes to a Cabernet. It was a little sweet and smooth, the way I like my wine to go down. Restrooms: were outside in what looked like a little small cottage, really cute but really cold outside when you had to use the restroom as there wasn't one in the reception room. Also note, if you plan on wearing heels to this place the cement changes to different textures; uneven stone, pebble cement, sand/dirt in the tasting area and so forth. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by Ponte Winery during a weekend getaway to Temecula, and it was one of the best decisions we made on the trip. The moment you arrive, you're greeted by a beautiful barn-style tasting room that opens up into the vineyard. We started with a wine flight inside their main tasting barn, where you can pick five wines from a curated selection of their in-house creations. The only downside is that the punch card is only valid inside the tasting barn, not at the restaurant--but you're free to bring your glass around the property. We walked the grounds while sipping our wines and were blown away by how stunning the venue is. There were multiple weddings happening at once, and the sunset over the vineyard made for an absolutely romantic atmosphere. When our table was ready, we sat down at their restaurant patio, which offered an equally beautiful view. We ordered the salmon cakes and margherita pizza, along with their house bread that came with a green dipping sauce. That bread alone was unforgettable--warm, soft, and perfectly seasoned--and the sauce paired with it was addictively good (we even used it on the salmon cakes). The salmon cakes were buttery, perfectly cooked, and flavorful, while the pizza had a nice crisp crust and a fresh sauce. I had the opportunity to spend some time today at Ponte winery and I felt very happy just by looking at the wondrous landscape and listening to the birds singing. It was truly joyful! What a nice jewel with fragrant roses everywhere. The gardens are so elegant and the hotel you would not think was built just in 2012, you feel like was there since the a Spanish revival style. Well done! Vineyards, olive trees, roses...this is the perfect scenario for a wedding for sure. We are currently staying at the Ponte for my husband's birthday I had booked this on July 3rd. I had added a few nice touches to the room such as rose petals and a flower arrangement The Ponte has a great staff. I was contacted a couple of times before our arrival to discuss flowers. We did have a "little hiccup" on the room and the view I thought we were supposed to be getting. The front staff was extremely friendly and very polite about how to resolve this situation. We had the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and it was delicious. Pretzel knots were also good. Great service, once again. The grounds are beautiful here. The property is clean and organized. Vineyards are everywhere. This property is very Eco friendly and that is a plus for us. Don't forget that you are in the mountains and you may encounter a little fly/gnat/spider. The setting is beautiful, especially when we sit outside in the shaded patio area surrounded by vineyards and gardens -- it's the perfect relaxing atmosphere.
