Lorimar Vineyards has been here over 15 years and it's one of the many vineyards and wineries in Temecula Valley. Decided to stop here and revisit for a late lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as I walked inside, the host Dakota was super cordial and got me seated at their outdoor patio beneath sun shades, next to the vineyard and I had a perfect unobstructed view of the jazz performer on stage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After seating, I ordered a glass of their signature Cabernet Sauvignon and the Fromagé plate, which was presented shortly afterwards. The fromagé plate had a variety of cheeses, seedless red grapes, dried apricots, fig preserve spread and additionally a plate of bread... perfect for sharing or not. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The saxophone player played contemporary music which was all entertaining as I noshed and sipped vino.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their signature Cabernet Sauvignon was quiet lovely; aroma and depth of flavors was perfect with the fromagé ...love!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the lunch, a stroll around the grounds to see more vineyards, felt the breeze on a hot day was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Inside the gift shop there was so much to peruse through, but some of the stuff will definitely get a giggle out of you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's an art gallery connected to the main building. I wouldn't call it an art gallery but many walls were dedicated to showcasing local artists work depicting the Temecula Valley lifestyle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In the same room is the wine tasting bar and most of the people inside the art gallery seemed to be more interested in wine tasting than the art lol [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was my second time visiting, both times, I had a great first impression and last impression from the ambiance, food and service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service from the staff members were all courteous, helpful and just wonderful, All was amazing, Cheers!!Recommend

We were seated right away by the host in Marcie's section and she was kind, great at explaining the different wine options and even got my mom signed up as a member! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the live band and the misters outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will say the prices are a bit high but it's the experience you are paying for as well.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The property is beautiful and the bathrooms were clean and maintained well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the chicken Caesar salad and the turkey sandwich to share with my mom and they were both so delicious. I also got the mimosa flights and they were refreshing. My favorite was the guava!

We had a reservation, so we were seated right away, which was a good start. We came on a Sunday during a three-day weekend, so we expected it to be busy, and we were still there to have a good time. That said, service was definitely not the fastest. Once we got seated, it took about 30 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order. Our server was sweet, so I don't want to put it all on her, but it did seem like the restaurant could have used more servers to accommodate the crowd. The food was okay. Our sides came out wrong, but once we were able to get our server's attention, she fixed it for us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, there were a few bumps, but the atmosphere helped make up for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I purchased a Groupon for Lorimar Vineyards & Winery. It was our first time visiting this winery, and it will definitely not be our last. Our server was Chris. He was absolutely AMAZING! He was so entertaining and friendly. We asked him if we could taste only red wines. OMG!! We enjoyed every single red wine we tasted, which is rare. It was really hard to decide which bottle to purchase. We ended up choosing a bottle of 2021 Montepulciano. Honestly, I was surprised at how reasonably priced their wines were. I've been a wine club member at four other wineries in the past, and their prices were such a pleasant surprise. Chris provided wine club information to us before we left, and we even got to meet his lovely wife who also works there. We had such a great time! I hope to join their wine club in the future!

Very good red wines

Decided to have lunch here today and I ordered a good glass of red wine and the Turkey Bacon Sandwich. The wine was excellent and the sandwich was very good as it came with fries. Our server was Kristin and she was wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was good and we enjoyed our time there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It seems things have changed at this winery, we have been members for almost 10 years but the personnel has changed and I don't see the same managers from before. I'll give it one more try before we decide if we cancel our membership. It just didn't have same old vibe.

Came for the murder mystery dinner after seeing a flyer at our tasting last month. WILL NEVER RETURN! The event was great for the price however the service was atrocious. Erin took over a half hour to take our order. We waited for everything all night! After our order was finally in still waited another 10 minutes or so for drinks. Hard to enjoy the event waiting for food and drinks. Even had to flag down someone else for utensils. The sangria and Sauvignon Blanc were great but thanks to the horrible slow service we wouldn't come back.

Baby friendly!

Had a family day at the winery and it was great! The weather was perfect to take our 5-month-old and sit outside with some wine. Brought my parents along as well. They don't drink wine so my mom was the DD and my dad sampled a flight with us. The ambiance was great. Lots of seating in various areas and child friendly. The flights are priced well at $25 for 6 pours, and the knowledgeable sommelier even gave us an additional glass. Overall the taste of wine was OK, but nothing we'd purchase. I don't recommend the charcuterie board. It was an unimpressive spread of lunch meat, grapes, cheese, and crackers that I believe cost $30 something. I'd return for the atmosphere and try some different wines and maybe food from the restaurant. Overall was happy with the visit.

Lorimar Winery was our first time here, what a beautiful winery We all came for Rod Stewart cover band he was entertaining and it looks like a lot of locals come out. This event was VIP $120 per Or general $35. We wanted the general only because we never been here. We sat with large table With white table cloths it was a nice evening to be out here some music my cousin like Rod Stewart So it was a surprise but it was hard not say where we were go. For my family to chatty lol. But let say this their Champagne here was the best Champagne we had!!! We will be back with friends and family for a glass of this Champagne We had 2 bottles of Champagne and Bottle of Red Cabernet Sauvignon was good too The plus 5 stars for the Champange We have some chicken nachos not enough chicken For the price

Sangria

There is a lot to like about Lorimar Winery, though a few details kept the experience from being great. The winery and its grounds are both beautiful and spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The sangria was unfortunately quite diluted and lacked flavor, most likely due to the main ingredient, wine, being too light. Actually, there was no fruit either. The charcuterie board was more entertaining than appetizing; the rolled deli ham (which appeared like turkey at first glance) felt like an afterthought or space filler rather than a curated choice. Overall, the board lacked balance and texture, with components that felt mismatched and underwhelming. On the bright side, the Brussels sprouts were flavorful and came in a generous portion. The mimosa flights were enjoyed by my friends, fun, fruity, and refreshing. I should have ordered the mimosa flight instead; the sangria, while a good idea on a hot day, was unfortunately watered down and surprisingly bland. Service was friendly, though we had to ask for ice (on a very hot day) and utensils to share the board. The outdoor patio seating area is large and includes misters, which are a thoughtful touch for cooling things down, though sitting too close can be uncomfortable due to the spray. The beautiful thing is, they have live music and entertainment. I've also visited in the past and enjoyed a Reserve Wine Tasting, which included six 1-ounce pours of my choice from the Sparkling, White, Rosé, Red, and Reserve tasting menus, a well-rounded experience.

PJ!!

Ask the Community - Lorimar Vineyards and Winery

Reservation needed for tasting on the patio?

Not necessarily. During the week we walk in for tastings and patio seating is pretty open.

Is the patio dining area covered? Interested in visiting this weekend but it may rain! :(

There is a partially covered patio. Not ideal if it's a heavy rain. They usually direct visitors to inside tasting room when it rains. Then seating will be more limited.

How much is the tasting?

Their site says $25. I'm a wine club member so I get free glasses.

Do you still have the all you can eat buffet brunch?

We do not have brunch at this time. Thank you.

Do they offer any other drinks options outside of wine on the patio? Such as beer, spirits, or soft drinks (non alcoholic options)?

At this time, we do offer beer, sangria, soda, soda water, and bottled water in addition to wine. Hope to see you soon!

Are Dogs allowed?

Yes they are allowed

Are kids allowed in during the day on a Sunday?

this is what their website says.., Thursday (after 5 pm), Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Lorimar Winery…

Is the Sunday brunch buffet still available at Lorimar Winery?

No.

Can we take outside food?

Outside food is not permitted at Lorimar. Pairings, our gourmet mobile kitchen, is available 7 days a week. We also have a large assortment of snack items available in the tasting room.

Do you offer any beer?

Yes, we have beer available, but our taps change from week to week. Please ask your server for our current selection.

What days do they have live music and is it during the day or at night?

Weekend during the day and at night

Is there a cork fee for members?

Wine Club Packages and previously purchased wine can be opened by a Lorimar Server and consumed on property for a $15 corkage fee per bottle. Symphony Club members are exempt…

Are you open on Christmas Day?

We are not open on Christmas Day.

Do you allow outside food when wine tasting?

No outside food allowed. Food available there

Hi! Are you open for reservations?

Yes and they are recommended for weekends and Friday and Saturday nights

Do you make any organic wines?

At this time we do not. Thank you.

Are you currently offering brunch?

On sundays

Do they currently offer a complimentary glass with wine club pickup?

Yes. The wineries are providing complimentary wine club glasses to members as of June 12.

Any news on when you guys can open back up?

We do not have a date at this time. As soon as we receive a green light from the county, we will open. Thank you.

How much are tastings on the weekend?

$18 for 6 tastings

Shortly after we placed our order, Bobby came back to let me know they had run out of bananas and asked if fresh berries would be an acceptable substitute. I agreed, and he sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. To my surprise, when my breakfast arrived, it had fresh bananas on it! Bobby explained that the kitchen manager had actually gone to the store to buy more bananas so they could fulfill my order. Wow--that is customer service! We arrived early on a Friday evening, and thankfully it wasn't crowded. Since they don't take reservations, getting there early is definitely the way to go. We ordered the Dealer's Choice, which was refreshing, balanced, and beautifully presented. We also tried one of their stronger signature cocktails, and they definitely don't hold back -- there's a reason they limit those drinks to two per person! Both drinks were creative and well-crafted. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and the drink presentation was outstanding. Service was good, although not especially memorable, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. One thing that would make the experience even more immersive would be if the entire staff wore cowboy attire to match the Old West theme. With the speakeasy setting and vintage decor, it would add a fun touch and make the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, Twain Speakeasy offers excellent cocktails, good music, and a unique atmosphere. I would definitely come back again, and my recommendation is to arrive early since reservations aren't available and I can see this place filling up quickly on busy nights.
