As someone looking for a place to stay, I would not recommend leaving at the retreat. They will take advantage of you and will find new ways to make you pay more money than you already are. As resident here, they never came to fix anything in my last unit. I sent screenshots of the damage no every came to fix it. They still made be pay even though the damages were not my fault. Please do not pick this place to live at. It's terrible and the deals that they have when you sign is a scam. They will tell that how much your rent is and will charge you more than what they advertise. On top of that, they will have a company called On the Road tow your car even though you're a resident and they have your car information on file. I had to pay that company to get my car back even though I am a paying resident at the Retreat and have never missed a payment nor gotten a formal complaint about anything since living here. I also have loss packages here as well.

I've lived here for two years and all I can say is, management is ran by lazy incompetent people. They will fine you for random things like speeding in the parking lot with absolutely no evidence. They charge a cleaning fee but don't clean anything. When I moved in to a new building all carpets and couches smelled like an unbearable amount of dog piss and was not replaced. It was not until bringing this up multiple times with management until they replaced the carpet, but told us they couldn't do anything about the couch, so my roommates and I had to drench the couch in febreeze. The back parking gate is never open, and the front gate stays open most of the time so it defeats the purpose of having a gated complex. Gym equipment cables were broken for my entire two year lease. The pool was rarely cleaned, and closed most of the time. Don't be fooled by the "nice amenities" and "welcoming environment" when signing your lease, it doesn't last long.

This place is great. I love the pool and rooms. Furniture is cool and sometimes the dishwasher acts up but it's great.

I can't use the restroom in peace without a roach being in there. My roommates are waking up with roaches on their shoulders and in the kitchen. You guys keep saying "we have pest control come out on Tuesdays" I don't know what company you guys are using bc our apartments are still infested and it's not adding up. The other day I came home from work and I see a roach making itself at home taking a bath in my UNIT. We also have seen the roaches have a pool party in our kitchen....THEY EXPECT US TO pay so much in rent when they have creatures living in my personal area. Wish I could give it negative stars....

Valet trash wasn't collected several times and instead left to accumulate although we payed extra for valet trash mentioned in our contracts. I payed rent every month, on time, & moved out when my lease was up July 24. It is now November 30th, almost December, and I have yet to receive my initial deposit check that I included to move in. I've reached out to Michaela, the Property Manager, several times via email, only to receive excuses about no control over the mail & constantly asking if I'd like the initial check voided, "re-cut", & sent. I inquired about a tracking number for the check. Yet I've been told that there's no tracking number for my deposit check that was allegedly sent out twice now. Management has overall poor customer service, extremely unprofessional, and crooked to withhold my deposit check & give excuses. I have reported UC Denton to the BBB. Next step is suing them. Save yourself the aggravation & simply DO NOT move in here! They will get you leased & moved in quickly but then the night mare begins. There are so many better, clean, roach free, affordable, more professional apartment/management options in Denton and Lewisville, to live in. God bless.

They include wifi which is another blessing since Covid hit and I haven't been able to go to school or use free wifi at the university or coffee shops. Utilities come out to be less than $100 a month, even at the times when I feel like I leave every light on for more than an hour. Maintenance is incredibly fast and you don't have to pester them to fix your issue. From a leaky sink to broken AC they always come in at least a day or 2 to fix the problem you need. The AC was broken over the weekend so I wasn't able to get maintenance until Monday, but that's not an issue. We all need our weekends to relax! The unfortunate things: BUGS. I have had a bug problem since moving in, and they seem to be in my kitchen. Ever since moving in I've been plagued with these little brown and black beetles that like to harass my cabinets and stove top. Pest control is available through the complex, but at this point they've been in once a month and I'm thinking of just hiring an exterminator to find the source and get rid of it. That definitely has been the biggest and most annoying issue I've had since moving in. About a month into moving in, my boyfriend's car was raided and they took a couple of things. He left his car unlocked because he's used to living in a McKinney suburb, so just lock your cars!! The area surrounding the complex isn't the best. Right next to the highway and I've seen plenty of homeless people sleeping on the UNT bus bench right outside the apartment. All in all, this is my first apartment away from home and I've had a good experience! I would recommend this to anyone who's new to living on their own/a student since this complex is mostly college aged students.

The property is practically a ghost town with all the vacant apartments, and it's easy to see why. I'm already looking into breaking my lease just to escape. Avoid this place at all costs.

There are a ton of restaurants and stores (UNT store and CVS) in walking distance which is nice because my kiddo didn't take her car up there! The complex sends out messages and reminders about rent and utilities being due which is nice! At first we thought the students working in the leasing office would be an issue if something actually happened but in fact whenever my daughter has has an issue they have been super nice and able to steer her in the right direction to get it resolved quickly! When resigning the lease her rent actually went down not up which was a very nice surprise! They also made transitioning her roommates so they could all be together super easy too! No place is perfect but for our student and family it has been great!

DO NOT LIVE AT THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX…read more I have lived here for three years, and the issues have been constant. The biggest concern has been mold. I had mold in both my first and second units, and it made me very sick. Management repeatedly dismissed it as "dirt" or "dust" instead of properly addressing the problem. I've also had my AC break multiple times, leaving me without air conditioning for days during the Texas heat. There is also a persistent roach problem they come out of the drains in the bathtub and sinks no matter how clean you keep your apartment. The hallways constantly smell, residents let their dogs pee in the hallways and elevators, and the trash chute rooms are filthy and rarely seem to be cleaned. On top of that, the gates are constantly broken, making it easy for anyone to enter the property. After three years, I can confidently say these are not one time issues they are ongoing problems that management has failed to properly address. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

"This is about more than just Joe Greene's football career," UNT President Smatresk said. "His impact on UNT goes beyond the prowess that put him in multiple halls of fame, won Super Bowls, and earned him 10 trips to the Pro Bowl. He was the first African American to serve on the UNT Board of Regents, and he has continued to be a Mean Green supporter and ambassador for the university throughout his life. Joe was an amazing football player, no doubt, but he also has been an incredible part of the UNT community for more than five decades." In August 2019, the University of North Texas opened Joe Greene Hall in his honor. It's located on campus, at the intersection of Eagle Drive and Avenue A. This dorm is next door to the UNT visitors center and it is conveniently across the street from the newest dining hall called "Eagle Landing" that opened in January 2021!!! Freshmen are required to buy a dining plan, so living in this specific dorm means they will have access to the best food on campus 24/7. This dorm hall looks and feels like a boutique hotel. It's absolutely amazing! The mindset within this dorm is freshman -- feeling themselves, that free and independent vibe, lol. This is a double occupancy dorm hall and they do not offer single occupancy rooms, period. **FYI** UNT opens up housing applications and takes a deposit to hold your space in January. By mid-February, Joe Greene Hall is sold out for the upcoming Fall/ Spring semesters. When you select any dorm at UNT, you are reserving your space (with a deposit) for the upcoming Fall/ Spring semesters, 9 months total. The waitlist can be in the hundreds. There are only 500 (liftable) beds. Furniture can be moved around. This dorm offers pod-style "community" bathrooms. A lot of students have complained that the bathrooms are not kept clean (wet floors, toilet paper runs out, sinks are dirty) and that waiting for your turn to get in can be a ... beast. There are no enforced set rules for the time you spend in the bathroom. Parent to parent: so far, this dorm has not earned the reputation for being a "party dorm" nor is it known to have the UNT Police there often (if you know what I mean.) The first floor has a recreational area, a large lounge/ study area, and a large community kitchen. Wireless internet connectivity available building-wide, FREE. Coinless laundry room, FREE. Each floor offers extra lounge/ study areas, music practice rooms. My favorite YouTube tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLVlXAglDoc&ab_channel=MushTalks I hope this information helps you make a decision about Joe Greene :)

Then from January to about May it was fine then they came back. I'll let y'all know I am deadly afraid of cockroaches. I did not feel safe in my apartment the whole time I was there because I was afraid they would come back, and of course they did. If you move into building two ,good luck. They need to fog the whole build, but I doubt they will ever do it. By the way my roommates and I are very clean. We did not leave a spec of food on the counter in the kitchen and after we ate we immediately hand washed our dishes. There was also a robot vacuum that cleaned every night. Furthermore, all our food was in sealed containers. The roaches got in if they were not sealed. If you move into this apartment I recommend closing all your drains after use. It helped keep the roaches out of my room. Other then the roaches the apartment was fine. It is definitely a dirty apartment. Like there is weird black spots everywhere. The actual apartments are fallings apart constantly. My A/C was out for 2 weeks straight during a summer there, and my internet was out for days/weeks at a time throughout my lease. Mason Brown is completely incompetent as an Accounts Manager. All of the staff in the office are slimy humans and it is obvious why they work for an apartment complex.
