Many companies were downright rude, stating they do not make their employees work on holidays. Others gave us absurd quotes, and after weeks of searching, I had almost given up hope of finding anyone. Being 6 months pregnant, and hosting a Thanksgiving party for 30-40 guests in my home, I really wanted an extra set of hands to help set up, maintain the buffet, and clean up. Tina agreed to come work herself when she wasn't able to find any of her waitstaff to come in. She showed up 15 mins early while I was still in my pajamas running around getting food in the oven, and got right to work. She finished setting up my buffet, wrote the names of the dishes on my mini chalkboard plaques, and greeted guests while I quickly got ready. She was very personable and professional and willing to do whatever was necessary to make the evening go smooth. When the punch ran out, she offered to make more. She helped carve the turkey, ensured the buffet was refilled as necessary, and plated the desserts at my request to make it easy for guests to grab and sit down. She packed leftovers in To Go containers, cleaned up, washed dishes, and took out trash. Many of my guests came up to me throughout the night to compliment her service. I am so happy I found her, and can't imagine using anyone else for my party needs in the future. John was very easy to deal with on the front end for logistics. They do an excellent job of spelling everything out and guiding you on what to supply. Bartender showed up on time and ready to serve! The party we hired John's for was my 40th birthday party. I love making cocktails but I just wanted to enjoy the party. Within the 15 minute setup time drinks were flowing. I had 22 guests and everyone was taken care of. What blew me away was that when my guests were enjoying the party and no one was at the bar, the bartender would wander the crowd and take drink orders! Over and above what I expected! Not only was the bartender mixing drinks and delivering them, he would also make sure everyone was staying hydrated and pass out waters intermittently through the event. On top of all that, he even bussed the tables and took out trash! At the end of the event we had minimal to clean up. Everyone had a blast and we all got to enjoy hanging out. Initially hired them for a 5 hour window but they were so great we asked to extend for an extra hour and they didn't hesitate and saying sure thing! If I could give this review a 6th star I would. We had our tasting a couple months before our wedding day; which is complimentary to the couple and a $50 charge for any additional guest to join. They have you select 8-10 appetizers, 2 salads, and 4 entrees to taste at their Naperville location. They also have displays of china, silverware, glasses and more to help couples select what aligns aesthetically for their special day. Jamie worked with us to make small modifications to their standard offerings to make the food exactly what we wanted! Our wedding day came and we were floored by the quality/presentation of food, level of detail in place settings, and service from all staff members. We had multiple guests say that this was some of the best wedding food they've had, steaks were not over cooked, and food tasted fresh. Jamie also let us add desserts a week out to reallocate money from a couple of guests who last minute were unable to attend. Their team was even nice enough to service items not purchased through their group: disposables for the late night snack, display and refilling of cupcakes, etc. Overall, their group went above and beyond for us under Jamie's leadership. I found them on a Google search trying to find somewhere that would accommodate vegan options, as I (and several of my guests) are plant -based. I was thrilled reading reviews from others experience with Chef Ravi and The Chic Chef Team and decided to reach out. Their website is every easy to navigate and their food options were exactly what we were looking for. They were so accommodating while I started the planning process 100% remotely while living in California, and experienced some delays with the pandemic era. We had to scale down quite a bit from our original plan, make necessary adjustments and they were able to reconfigure our menu and options to fit our final needs. The email communication and assurance Chic Chef provided to my groom and I was excellent, and eased our minds while having to delay and rest assured being able to utilize Chic Chef after postponing. As soon as we had the tasting, we booked with Chic Chef immediately and didn't even try any other caterers it was that good. They met with my venue to do a final walk through a few weeks before the wedding. Day of, everything was executed flawlessly. The food was SO good. From the passed appetizers, salad, bread options, and entrees- everything was amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests raving that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding.
