No. Haven't been on this in a LONG time and forgot it was a standing ride? There was no wait to get on and I was confused as to whether or not I was supposed to be standing or sitting and was staring at the party before us to get an idea and half of them had their seats in a sitting position the others kind of standing, kind of bent. I went with a slight bend in the knees and standing. Once the ride took off it was complete silence. I'd see speakers but there was no music coming through. This ride was hard on my knees and feet and I wish I never went on it. I was pushing hard against the ground and it didn't feel good. My legs were not shot right then and there but later on in the day they were. If you have any knee issues, I wouldn't suggest it, I feel like it would add aggravation to the injury. Today we're here at Six Flags Magic Mountain to ride Riddler's Revenge, one of the last stand-up coasters ever. Once you adjust your seating so you're comfortable (Warning, DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS AS A SEAT. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SIT DOWN. REMAIN STANDING) and after listening to an incredible song that's played in the station. You head out and start climbing the lifthill. You're just climbing and climbing up this MASSIVE green structure while getting a great view of Superman, Goliath, Batman (awww it looks so cute from up here), Scream, and Twisted Colossus. After the amazing view, you head down the first drop. This is awesome as you build ALOT of speed. You then hit a massive vertical loop which provides some incredible hangtime. We then exit the loop retaining all of our speed which provides some NICE laterals. We then hit two back to back dive loops which are a lot of fun. Continuing the theme of having all of our speed, we FLY through an inclined loop as we then fly into the mid-course brake run. Fortunately, this brake run is very light and doesn't slow us down too much. We then drop down into a corkscrew followed by a small banked turn into an airtime hill. We then turn around into a fake helix of death as we then head into one last corkscrew before rising into the brake run. And that's Riddler's Revenge! Now, this coaster is VERY underrated in my opinion. Many people say that the Stand Up Trains suck and that they kill the ride experience. And.... I can see why people would say that. If they didn't ride it properly, then yeah, it WILL hurt. But even then, it's not that bad. Hell some people say this thing is on the level of Green Lantern. Okay... pause right there. This ride isn't perfect by any means. But it's NOT at the level of Green Lantern. This thing DESTROYS Green Lantern! It's NOT EVEN FUNNY!!! So yeah, this ride is awesome and I highly recommend riding it when you're at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Especially since B&M Stand-Up Coasters are a dying breed. Recently Six Flags removed Green Lantern (not the one at SFMM, the Stand-Up at Great Adventure) in the middle of the night and demolished it without warning (Pissed about that since I was gonna ride it in 2025 and my home park Six Flags St Louis could've seriously benefited from that ride if it were to be relocated). Which makes me worried about the future of Riddler's Revenge. I wanna hope that Six Flags is willing to give it the Nemesis/Hulk treatment, but I have my doubts. I'd go 3.5 for this one. Very intense without being over the top. It's a stand up coaster which is very odd. Main issue is that it's just uncomfortable to be standing. My recommendation is to get the seat lower so you can bend your knees at a 33 degree squat. This helps you "bounce" on the ride and push up with your feet. You definitely DO NOT what to be straight legged. The drops and loops and corkscrews are all great as long as you stay comfortable. Otherwise you will hate this ride. read more

Or so I should think not as in this case you're left standing in a line to get to the station playing Ecuador which will result in a ride on an amazing coaster that is the highest, fastest, and longest stand up coaster in the world! Riddlers is an amazing ride that is if you know how to ride it as it seems not everyone knows how to by this I mean it's a stand up coaster so you stand up wile riding it even though there is a little seat between your legs whatever you do make sure you give yourself some room between the seat and your crouch as it can be super painful if you think you can sit on the seat! What I always do is hold my restraint in a comfortable position giving my crouch enough room before they lock it at the station as this is key to enjoying this ride! The coaster itself is a super smooth ride with 7 loops I believe that will leave you with many riddles going through your head! This is always a must ride for me as I just enjoy the whole concept of being able to stand up on a coaster because it's just fun and kinda a unique experience all around! Awful. Absolutely abominable. Me and my family of 5 were very excited to go on a ride that none of us had ever been on. Little did I know I was about to be apart of history. The roller coaster seats 4 across a row. Again, my family was made up of 5 people. I offered to go sit by myself one round before my family. I was nervous as usual before a big roller coaster but the most uncomfortable seats ever manufactured by human kind made my nervousness worse. We started off and it was going great. A few cool loops but being a short king, my head was being thrown into the barriers repeatedly which left my with a head ache. But that was only the beginning of my problems. About half way through the ride, we crossed over the bridge where we were supposed to slow down a bit before dipping into another loop. But for some reasons, we went WHAM. We went from going 40-0 MPH in half a second. We were stranded. For the next 30 minutes, I continued to get yelled at by an old lady about the power of manifestation and how it was my fault we were stuck because I was talking about stuff like that before seating. Which I don't even know how she knows. The workers very slowly assisted us down the emergency stairs back to the ground. They gave us a single time use fast pass to any ride. So me and my family went to the coolest ride in the park "X2" to never set eyes on the riddlers revenge again. I would not recommend. But I will say that it was pretty fun before I got stuck. We came back the day after and we didn't get stuck, but we were reminded how much it hurts your head, and how uncomfortable the seats are. read more

Banana Seats? You may as well just put your privates in a blender. This piece of garbage ride is a urologist's dream. If you want to know what it feels like to have a big freaking sumo wrestler stand on your privates for an hour, I highly recommend this horrific experience. I'd literally rather make out with a pitbull. It's like sitting on a bicycle post and jumping up and down and up and down and up and down. Oh. And up and down again. The only thing in my entire life that sucked more than this ride was watching a puppy die when I was six years old. The scars from that puppy only lasted a few weeks. Standing up on a roller coaster...yeah I am totally a fan. Whenever I am visiting Magic Mountain I always seem to forget about Riddler's Revenge. It's in the back of the park...to the left of the Batman roller coaster. The ride itself is a bit on the older side (maybe a decade?) but is still one of my favorite rides. You wait through a Riddler's themed line that used to be really done up and really interesting but over the years they have not really kept it up and now most of the special effects and neon lights do not work. That is basically the reason I give this attraction a 4 instead of a 5. If you are going to theme a ride waiting area at least keep it up over the years or take the theming down. The restraint system is interesting on this coaster...if you have ever been on it you know what I am talking about. There is what looks like a little seat and most of the time people think that you sit on that seat and let your legs hang there. Yeah seriously if you do that you are gonna have a horrible ride because your weight is supported on this ride by you standing and not by that little seat that holds you in place. The purpose of the little seat and shoulder restraints are to keep you in place standing not to support you and let you hang there. Take my advice and keep your feet planted firmly on the ground when they come around to check you and lock your seat in place. The ride itself rocks. Something about the sensation of zooming through those loops and twists standing up is a feeling you get on hardly any other rides. Just be prepared because sometimes the line takes a long time if they are only running one train on a slow day. What really sucks is that inside the station there are those old neon lights and effects that really don't work anymore and they play really old electronic / rave music. It loops every few minutes so it gets kinda annoying even for a someone like me who used to be a raver. There are only so many times you can hear Sandstorm without wanting to bang your head into a wall. Make sure you stop by and ride Riddler's Revenge at least once during your visit...and take the time and wait for the front row, it is totally worth it. :0) read more

Probably my least favorite ride at 6-flags :( I think the appeal of this coaster is that it's a stand-up roller coaster. Unfortunately for me, that means massive and uncomfortable pain in the nether regions for the 2-3 minutes on the ride. The lines are relatively long for this short ride too, but I personally don't enjoy it just because there's nothing too spectacular about the ride and it's so uncomfortable standing up or positioning yourself when you get on the ride. TIP: Try to position yourself so that your legs are slightly bent before the ride locks you in. You and your crotch will be grateful after going through some of the twists and turns. I really think they should be better about telling you to adjust yourself and what is the most comfortable position before the ride starts. The staff didn't say anyhting and the first time I rode, I was in for a bad time :C. read more

Riddler's Revenge is a ride where you can either sit or stand. The seat is like a bicycle. Not very comfy. On Saturday, November 2nd, I went to Six Flags for the first time with my youth group from church. Since it was my very first time going to this amusement park, I decided to go on every single ride my friends went on. The first few I went on such as Goliath and Twisted Collossus were amazing. So, I figured every other attraction would be just as amazing as the others i rode on. But I was very wrong. The Riddler's Revenge was definitely an experience I will not ever forget. I had a little bit of doubt and almost walked away instead of trying the ride, but at the last minute I decided to at least try it. From the outside this ride looks amazing. Very well built and structured. Going inside to wait to get on the ride, I saw that there were separate lines for each row of the coaster. I followed my friend into one of the lines and waited until it was our turn. A couple of my friends went before me so I was able to see what I needed to do in order to be comfortable. I stayed standing, and it felt pretty comfortable. But, once the coaster started to move, it wasn't entirely comfortable anymore. I started to feel pain in areas I shouldn't and I dreaded the entire ride. I never thought that I would dislike a ride this much, but this particular one definitely proved me wrong. Some of my friends from my youth group did enjoy this ride, so it was probably me. Every person has their different opinions and different likes/dislikes. However, there should be some changes to this ride, so it can be enjoyed by everyone who rides on it. The girls I rode next to also experienced some pain, so I was not the only one. Maybe there could be a new seat or directions to be comfortable before getting on the ride? Help customers feel safe and happy. I apologize to the fans of this ride, I just don't like being uncomfortable and feeling pain throughout a ride. A rollercoaster is supposed to be fun and thrilling, not horrible and painful. I do not suggest this ride to any of my friends. My main concern was the seat. The ride is really fast, and with a really uncomfortable and painful seat, it isn't much of an adrenaline rush. I, myself, love fast rides, but the bad seat was all that was on my mind. If the seat was redone with more comfort, maybe I will ride it again. This is the world's tallest, longest, fastest, most inversions and largest vertical loop and drop for a stand-up coaster since 1998!!! How can you go wrong with a roller coaster with that many titles since the last millenium?! Well, once the saddle didn't pull down to my shoulders for my height. The saddle was locked and in a position suitable for a person taller than me by a foot. Which means, the seat belt didn't cover my chest as it should have; it was up higher. The workers couldn't see short little me waving about and obviously wouldn't be able to hear my cry for help through the blasting techno music they keep looping. They proceeded to start the ride and ... I had the ride of a lifetime! An unbelievable feeling of not knowing if I was going to fly out of the cart or not, I said a prayer about this near death experience. It was answered and I lived to tell the story! I held on for dear life throughout the whole ride which was a first for me. I always feel that the experience isn't complete if you don't put your hands up on roller coaster rides. With all that being said, it's only happened that one scary time and I would still recommend that you ride The Riddler! I still do! Oh and do not hold onto the handles unless you were in my situation! Only 1 in 750 million die from a roller coaster ride anyway! read more

If you like a thrill ride that gets all up in your junk... boy, have I got the one for you. We rode this one twice and the second time I got the pleasure of being in a row with three 10-year old boys screeching about how crunched their nut-sacks were. Which I found hilarious and wonderful because it's so rare that people use the word 'nut-sack' these days in that way but chose not commend them because I don't know what the rules are with talking to minors about their junk, even for humorous reasons, and also because my crotch was also pretty cramped in there as well thanks to that giant loin nub that you have to maneuver your nethers up and around. If I had to compare it to anything, it'd be the time I sat on fire hydrant thinking it'd be a good leaning post. NOPE. The ride itself is, of course, fun but the wait is a little redonk. The wait for the front car might be worth it, but anything else is pretty much the same view of the person in front of you's seat-back. Def try going to the far left lanes which are shorter in the queue to ride, or see if there's a single rider line and go on that way because there's always single empty seats and you can make it through with pretty much zero wait. Big ups to Alex, on the operating/ line management side for actually fun with his job and appearing as if his soul hadn't yet been sucked out of him like 99.9% of the people who work here. read more

I have a soft spot for Riddler's Revenge and hence my 4-star rating. It's the coaster that really started my love affair with the world of scream machines. I followed its development on the interwebs. I patiently waited for its 1998 debut. And when I finally made the trip to ride, it was like a zen experience. I realized right there that Bolliger & Mabillard were truly masters of the craft of coaster design. Unfortunately, Riddler's Revenge is a shell of its former self. The most disappointing thing is how bumpy it's gotten. OK so maybe it's not that bad. It's still worth riding. And it's probably not as bumpy as my mind makes it out to be. But when you compare it to Batman--a ride that is four years its senior--it's like night and day. But I continue to ride Riddler's Revenge. I continue to enjoy the repetitive techno music in the station. I continue to be a fan. I just no longer get that zen experience. read more

The main appeal of this ride is that you're standing up on a roller coaster. Why would I choose to stand on a ride when I have been standing in line all day? I have no idea. Geez, Nina, should have thought of that before waiting in line. Thank goodness I had a fast pass. Aside from the standing, there's nothing else that really stands out. Very smooth and very smooth. Unfortunately part is getting your guts crushed but once the ride starts that you tend to forget. They do more line control on this one which is nice as if you go to the front, the line is definitely more longer. They only had 1 cart running at the time which made the line super slow. The inversions are smooth and not shaky and will not get you dizzy. I do must ride this ride everytime I go here. read more

I would have to say that the speed and the overall ride was smooth the mechanics of it work correctly however if you like your crotch to be crushed all the way through the rides and this is the right for you they need to upgrade their seat to a more comfortable seat for the average Customer because that seat was extremely awful read more

Ok, so the appeal of this ride is that it is a standing ride, has a ton of loops, and is really fast. Got it. But I think you will either love it, or hate it. I'm fine with the standing up aspect; it gives the ride a very unique feel. Warning though: you probably don't want to be actually standing up. The seats are adjustable, and I definitely recommend scooting down a little so your legs are bent at roughly 120 degrees (you don't want to be fully sitting at 90 degrees or fully standing at 180 degrees). Once you are set, don't extend your legs because the seat will push up until the ride conductor locks everyone in. I think the seats themselves are quite uncomfortable. Maybe it's the only way to design standing seats (kinda an oxymoron there), but the way they are designed has you straddling the seat, and your butt just doesn't feel comfortable throughout the ride. The G-forces are also pretty intense. I very nearly blacked at the end. It's a pretty long ride (compared to most others I've been on), with lost of loops, and the speeds are fast. I really couldn't wait for it to be over. My friend next to me lost feeling in his feet. So yea, I kind of hated this ride. Three stars for uniqueness and the attraction of it, but it was just so uncomfortable. read more

This is a great roller coaster that's ridden in an upright, standing position. The ride is very smooth and there are some pretty strong G-forces. Although it's a quick ride overall, it feels longer than Batman. This may also be because the speeds don't feel as fast as on Batman. For larger patrons, you may have problems fitting on this coaster. The restraints on this ride are more restrictive than on Batman. In other words, if you barely fit in Batman, you probably won't fit on this ride. read more

This one doesn't feel as intense if you compare it to tatsu or batman. But this coaster is pretty "turny" - I felt dizzy after riding.

It is a great and smooth track. Lots of diversions and what not. However, they ruined it by making it a standing coaster. The ride is very uncomfortable due to the price of the seat that goes in between your legs and under your crotch. I spent the entire ride trying to get and stay comfortable. If there is one thing I like in a roller coaster, it is the fact that I am comfortable the entire ride. I don't see this as much of a problem for women for reasons most of us would understand. Other than the standing up part of the seats, it's a great ride. It's unfortunate they ruined it with the "seats." read more

I used to LOVE Riddlers Revenge so when we purchased season passes to Magic Mountain it was one of the rides I anticipated riding most. I was let down by the lack of upkeep on the ride. The caveway's leading to the ride were pitch dark at night, NO lighting what so ever. 50- 100 people crammed in line in the dark. It was HELL. Then when you get to the top the lines to get on the actual ride are a clusterfuck. No organization and people don't know where to go. Longest and worst line EVER. Six Flags really needs to upkeep this ride better. read more

the last two times i went to six flags (thanksgiving and xmas 2010) they had only 1 car running...i didnt' read the entire explanation as to why...but it made for a very long wait with a not so long line. not gonna do that again until they have it up and running a full par. the line took so ridiculously long that i didn't enjoy the ride that much. my kid loved it though! that's all that matters...so we'll be back. read more

This was actually one of my favorite roller coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I'm not a big fan of roller coasters probably because I'm scared of heights but for some reason, I liked this ride. When I went here, the line was pretty long only maybe because it was during Spring Break. On top of that, you're standing up and I feel more safer for some reason. I just don't like roller coasters where my feet are dangling cause I always feel like my shoes are gonna come out. Lol read more

I used to love this ride as a child, now that I'm older and wear glasses it's terrible. WARNING - if you wear glasses with THICK temples aka nerdy hipster glasses beware. This ride used to be smooth in 2002, in 2017 it's like bumpy and I hope that space between your ears and your head survives. It hurts bad. I tried keeping my head still and that was difficult.
