don't rent here. my tub has been running with water with no way to turn it off and i have called, sent emails, and submitted a maintenance request multiple. something is always broken in here and they never take the concerns of residents seriously. i asked to speak to a manager and the front desk lied and said that he was in meeting when i just seen him in the parking lot

Honestly I wish I could put 0 stars ! there has been a giant hole in our ceiling since we moved and no one has been by to fix it and on top of that our AC isn't working don't move here the ridge is absolutely terrible management is even worse

I've lived here since August, and for what I'm paying, I've had a fairly enjoyable experience…read more During the winter storm our power was rolling, so we were never without power for more than 3 hours, which was a complete blessing. They include wifi which is another blessing since Covid hit and I haven't been able to go to school or use free wifi at the university or coffee shops. Utilities come out to be less than $100 a month, even at the times when I feel like I leave every light on for more than an hour. Maintenance is incredibly fast and you don't have to pester them to fix your issue. From a leaky sink to broken AC they always come in at least a day or 2 to fix the problem you need. The AC was broken over the weekend so I wasn't able to get maintenance until Monday, but that's not an issue. We all need our weekends to relax! The unfortunate things: BUGS. I have had a bug problem since moving in, and they seem to be in my kitchen. Ever since moving in I've been plagued with these little brown and black beetles that like to harass my cabinets and stove top. Pest control is available through the complex, but at this point they've been in once a month and I'm thinking of just hiring an exterminator to find the source and get rid of it. That definitely has been the biggest and most annoying issue I've had since moving in. About a month into moving in, my boyfriend's car was raided and they took a couple of things. He left his car unlocked because he's used to living in a McKinney suburb, so just lock your cars!! The area surrounding the complex isn't the best. Right next to the highway and I've seen plenty of homeless people sleeping on the UNT bus bench right outside the apartment. All in all, this is my first apartment away from home and I've had a good experience! I would recommend this to anyone who's new to living on their own/a student since this complex is mostly college aged students.

DO NOT RENT HERE. In my first week alone, I found roaches living in the dishwasher and the oven. To…read moremake matters worse, they completely ignore maintenance requests, and the office staff becomes actively hostile if you complain about their lack of professionalism. The property is practically a ghost town with all the vacant apartments, and it's easy to see why. I'm already looking into breaking my lease just to escape. Avoid this place at all costs.

Had issues with leaky faucet and stove burners going out on separate occasions. -Apartments and the grounds are clean. Red brick construction contributes to a upscale feel. -Application process was smooth. One call, a few text messages then sign a lease. This was a time where all the other complexes waffled with maybes and made our move more difficult even though we had enough money to pay the entire lease up front. This place took the opportunity to deal with us as people looking for a place to live and not some stack of employment and bank account verifications. -Small Washer/Dryer in unit. I despise going out for laundry day, and this amenity is worth 50/month to me at least. -External storage spaces on site help get the best use out of the 650sf apartment. -1.5 bathrooms in 650sf is a ridiculous amount, but it adds to a decadent feel. Con: -There is a train and it crosses the tracks at Frame St so it makes all the usual train sounds and no time of night is immune. -The triangle of space between Bell and Mingo is a bit slim on access. Between the speed trap near TWU on Bell and not a single pedestrian crosswalk to get to downtown Denton it adds a bit of oomph to not get out. If they plowed over those apartments one block west and put Bellmere there it would be perfect. Notes: -There is no longer an on-site manager (not sure if the website reflects this yet). But seriously, five stars. Every other place I've been has some surprise glaring flaw such as flooding, people breaking into your stuff, shootings, being condemned, etc. This one manages to be just an apartment that works as advertised. If they could make the train go away and shut down Bell street so all the traffic goes along Mingo it would get the proverbial sixth star.

There are a ton of restaurants and stores (UNT store and CVS) in walking distance which is nice because my kiddo didn't take her car up there! The complex sends out messages and reminders about rent and utilities being due which is nice! At first we thought the students working in the leasing office would be an issue if something actually happened but in fact whenever my daughter has has an issue they have been super nice and able to steer her in the right direction to get it resolved quickly! When resigning the lease her rent actually went down not up which was a very nice surprise! They also made transitioning her roommates so they could all be together super easy too! No place is perfect but for our student and family it has been great!

DO NOT LIVE AT THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX…read more I have lived here for three years, and the issues have been constant. The biggest concern has been mold. I had mold in both my first and second units, and it made me very sick. Management repeatedly dismissed it as "dirt" or "dust" instead of properly addressing the problem. I've also had my AC break multiple times, leaving me without air conditioning for days during the Texas heat. There is also a persistent roach problem they come out of the drains in the bathtub and sinks no matter how clean you keep your apartment. The hallways constantly smell, residents let their dogs pee in the hallways and elevators, and the trash chute rooms are filthy and rarely seem to be cleaned. On top of that, the gates are constantly broken, making it easy for anyone to enter the property. After three years, I can confidently say these are not one time issues they are ongoing problems that management has failed to properly address. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Then from January to about May it was fine then they came back. I'll let y'all know I am deadly afraid of cockroaches. I did not feel safe in my apartment the whole time I was there because I was afraid they would come back, and of course they did. If you move into building two ,good luck. They need to fog the whole build, but I doubt they will ever do it. By the way my roommates and I are very clean. We did not leave a spec of food on the counter in the kitchen and after we ate we immediately hand washed our dishes. There was also a robot vacuum that cleaned every night. Furthermore, all our food was in sealed containers. The roaches got in if they were not sealed. If you move into this apartment I recommend closing all your drains after use. It helped keep the roaches out of my room. Other then the roaches the apartment was fine. It is definitely a dirty apartment. Like there is weird black spots everywhere. I think they painted over the grim too. But it is close to campus. Like a 13 minutes bike ride and has the bus. I would not live here again but there is worse apartments. Maintenance was quick. Our ac/heater broke every time we changed it from cold to hot. That was annoying. The in unit washer and dryers were helpful. Overall not worth the price. With rent and utilities it was almost a 1000 every month with my two roommates.

Don't bother asking people in the office for help, because they lie to your face about doing something about your problems and then do absolutely nothing. I was charged "heavy" cleaning fees for a bedroom/bathroom that I left spotless. These people are scumbags who need to be investigated for the kind of business that is run here. The actual apartments are fallings apart constantly. My A/C was out for 2 weeks straight during a summer there, and my internet was out for days/weeks at a time throughout my lease. Mason Brown is completely incompetent as an Accounts Manager. All of the staff in the office are slimy humans and it is obvious why they work for an apartment complex.
