Initially the cuisine was exceptional but began a decline about the time of the pandemic from which it has not recovered. The HVAC system is not very reliable and may be the source of the intense dust. Most staff are pleasant and helpful. A dedicated service elevator is sorely needed in Building 3----the smallest elevator is also the most used and is often entirely taken up with soiled laundry, trash making use by the many walkers and wheelchairs a real problem. Special holiday meals in Palo Verde are often very good (any way the champagne flutes can be well chilled?) and of much higher quality than daily meals in the Grill or Sonoran.

When covid came, they locked down the facility within an inch of the law. I never heard of a single resident catching the virus, and staff members were tested very frequently. Meals were delivered to her door every day, and her biggest problem was boredom. Her health started to fade with a series of strokes, but the Terraces kept her from getting covid. We were so impressed that we could see ourselves living here or something like it when we downsize.

We were shown price lists, etc. The community appears to be well managed and is planning for the future: some independent-living unit have been converted to assisted living, which certainly follows the national trend. Unfortunately the 2-bedroom unit lacked adequate storage for us. Had it been configured differently, there is a good chance we would have moved.

Many of the assisted living caregivers are kind, understanding and caring. Thank you to Veronica, Ashlee, Vicki, Mina, Bibi, Araceli, Joshua and Jesse. When we walked in the door at Manor Village, we knew we had found Moms new home. We were greeted by Wesley Wilkins who provided us with a tour and as we moved throughout the building, Wesley knew all the residents that we came in contact with as well as employees. You could tell he really enjoys his job and every employee we talk with had a smile on their face. The entire building had a wonderful vibe and the residence we interacted with were so welcoming and friendly. We feel confident that if any emergency or care is needed, Mom is in the right place. It is now been a couple of months since she moved in and we could not be any happier.
