The only included side was shoestring fries, which -- I get it, potatoes and cheap and high margin -- but what self-respecting BBQ joint includes shoestring fries with an entree? I definitely wouldn't order that again, but the tri-tip sandwich looked a lot more substantial for a few bucks more. Fox and Hound is still one of the better options in the Tahoe basin, but not the screaming deal that it used to be. 3/5 stars.

I wish we would have doubled the order for the mac and cheese so we could take it home and eat it the rest of the week. The veggies were a nice mix of summer squash, asparagus and mushrooms. For our mains, we tried the beef kabobs and a lamb dish. The beef kabobs were actually pretty good, though the lamb turned out a little on the tough side. I also grabbed their drink special of the day, which hit the spot. Overall, it was a really nice experience. The service was friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely have to come back during warmer weather so we can finally sit out on the patio and fully enjoy that view!
