It appears very unassuming from the outside. At night, there are some really nice lights that come on. There also seemed to be an outdoor stage setup. The concert I saw was amazing and everything sounded great. My only complaint: most of the patrons were so loud and obnoxious and more interested in their own drunken banter, which made it difficult to hear the music even though I was front row. If you're going to a concert (or doing anything else for that matter) and feel the need to get drunk or high in order to enjoy it, then that's a problem of your own that needs to be addressed and dealt with properly, not by subjecting others to it and robbing them of their own natural ability to live life. Other than that, it was a great evening. Nice place and I wouldn't mind returning to see another show. I just hope that the crowd there will want to see a show too and not take away from who we actually pay to see.

The theatre is small and classic with a little concessions area and nice bathrooms. It's a single-level theatre but the seats are angled well enough that no one's going to block your view of the stage. Really, any seat is a good seat. I attended the inaugural Virginia Cat Festival (day 1) here, with Jackson Galaxy as the keynote speaker. I enjoyed my visit all around and the venue was clearly clean and well-kept. I'd attend another event there in the future.

Sounded like the perfect time to check out this awesome venue. And it was. This is in downtown Wake Forest, right next to/below Sugar Magnolia Cafe Emporium. How cool is it to have a coffee shop/cafe, wine bar above an intimate music venue? A limited bar downstairs also, but you can bring anything you want down from up, including food. Fold out chairs, some tables, a few high tops. This is small and casual which is what makes it a one-of-a-kind way to experience music. Reminds me of some of the clubs from years gone by. Parking is not a problem. All around street parking.

Well at 4 the announcement was made that everyone without a bracelet will be standing in the balcony for the entire show . I asked for a refund and was refused. I had to dispute the charges on my credit card. This venue knowingly oversold the tickets . And when confronted with their greed refused to act honestly. The show is hilarious, entertaining and emotional. Drinks and snacks can be purchased before the show. They had custom cocktails and mocktails as well as a wine, beer and more. Customer service is always top notch from will call, the bar and the ushers. Definitely a favorite and love the convenience of it being so close to where I live.

I loved the quick wit, and humor in A Sherlock Carol and the cast excellent! Some of the main characters in A SHerlock Carol are also in A Merry Christmas Carol as well. It's a small theatre that opened in 1913, and is a national historic landmark. It has ornate features inside and they sell light snacks and alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks at their concession stand.

The entrance is a long brick corridor, which gives it a funky, speakeasy sort of vibe - and you just already know that you're about to experience something special. They book very high quality bands, and the ticket prices are so low, it's just silly. I saw three incredible bands (Goodnight, Texas; Jarrod Dickenson; and The Sugar Hollows), all for a ridiculously reasonable price. Their sound system is phenomenal, and their engineer is so talented and impressive. All three acts were very different, but were all mixed very well and sounded amazing. They have a great drink selection, which is also reasonably priced. They even sell low-cost ear plugs at the bar. I cannot say enough good things about the staff! They are all helpful and fun. Right from the start, the front door staff is upbeat and welcoming, and then the bartenders are approachable, friendly and attentive. If you need anything, and it's in their power, the owner and staff will oblige. There's a decent amount of seating, but it goes fast. I knew I wouldn't arrive early enough to score a seat, but I have trouble standing for a long time. I considered skipping the show, but I've wanted to see Goodnight, Texas for over a decade. In desperation, I emailed Nick the owner, and to my surprise, he happily reserved a stool and a tiny little high top table for me. It was the size of a pizza! So I wasn't in the way but was close enough to have a great view. Nick was so kind and accommodating, for which I am still incredibly grateful. This place attracts a fun, friendly crowd of all ages, and they even have 18+ nights. Goodnight, Texas had only released their new album three days earlier, but the crowd was thrilled to hear the new stuff. We already knew all of the words, and happily belted along with the band. It was a fantastic show, spirits were high, and everyone had a blast! The ladies room was clean and well stocked, which I very much appreciated. There's plenty of paid parking nearby, but you can also find free street parking about a block and a half away. I could not have asked for a better experience, especially at such a reasonable price point. If you want a fantastic night out without sacrificing your ability to eat or pay bills for the next week, check this place out! It's one of the greats!

There's no re-entry, and my boyfriend was hoping if we arrived early, he could find a seat up there. Instead, we had to wait for the concert to start an hour later while absolutely freezing our tushes off. It was absurdly cold. Even through the main act, the entire night was frigid. He's a bigger guy and he even said he was chilly. I purchased a long-sleeved shirt from the headliner, and that helped a bit but not enough. And yes, we were in the heart of the crowd. I've really never experienced that at a venue before, and hopefully it was just a fluke? I'd return but only if it's a band I really-really-really want to see.
