Then at night fall they light up a walking path in the park with all kinds of cool holiday lights. After the initial event they still light the lights on the path every night all the way to the end of the year. This event and viewing the lights the rest of the season is completely free and doing either or both is always a lot of fun. When me and my family use to live in the highview area we would go to the original kickoff holiday fest. But even in years we can't make that fun event we still visit the highview holiday fest and walk the path with all the lights. We enjoy it so much that sometimes we will hit it up 2-3 times a year. Very fun and cool holiday tradition. In that same 2-3 mile vicinity there are 3 other super cool holiday lights to view. There is toyland Christmas and the blue lights show on the other side of outer loop and then back behind the park off fagenbush is a house on green manor that has a workout. Santa clause roller coaster. So if your looking for a fun night of holiday lights viewing this is a great place to start.

I'm not an artist by any means, but I enjoy painting. I'm not too great at it on my own, but thankfully these kits were easy to use and came with all of the colors you need. Not to mention, there are so many different designs to choose from! I picked out a sunflower and my fiance got the American flag mason jar. It made us feel so productive, and now we have a couple cute things to hang on our door! Normally they do painting sessions, which I would love to check out someday. Spirit Halloween is a chain of seasonal Halloween super stores that pop up all over the place in September and stay a week or two into November. You can find a lot of cool decorations, props, snd costumes for your Halloween needs. Me and my family like to visit each year and shop for new decorations and costumes and it is always a good time. The earlier you come the better because the week of Halloween these places will be packed and bursting at the seems with limited inventory left We stopped in at this particular location the other day and it already looked like a ghost town. They had very little stock and was much smaller then other locations we have visited in the past. It almost looked like the day after Halloween in here and they were about to pack up. We headed a few miles down the road to the shop on outer loop which is a more populated area and they had a much larger, Bette equipped and staffed store. Overall spirit Halloweens are fun shops. This one is not. I would skip out on the fern creek location this year and head to another one if you have intentions of finding items and having a larger variety to choose from.

Like a lot of mall Santa setups they go with the easily identifiable name of Santa workshop. And whole Jefferson mall may be considered the worst mall in Lousiville they have traditional have and continue to have the best Santa meet and greet experience. I've taken my kids here for the last decade plus and this is even where I went as a youngster to meet Santa. Not sure why or how but they always have the most authentic, nicest and legit feeling Santa clauses. They always have a nice extravagant setup in the middle or ends of the mall and they offer fair holiday picture prices along with cool decorative frames and things. However if you just want to meet Santa then you can do that for free with no strings attach. Long time and fun tradition for my family and many other local Lousiville families. One of my favorite memories is a few years ago they had a Santa who played the guitar and sand sing alongs with mj kids and my nephews and niece. We visited on a early December weekday after school and nobody else was there so the Santa took the time and created a life long memory for all the kids. The photographer was too, encouraging me to get additional shots because I'd be able to download all the shots digitally. Only one package offered this year. Quite a few printed and all other digitally. I got a text within 30 minutes telling me the shots were ready. Love these memories!

Personalize by Santa is a holiday superstore that specializes in personalized (putting names or custom messages) items such as ornaments and other holiday decor. They run somewhat decent deals as you can get 3 items (usually ornaments) for $35 and that includes the customization. Over the years my wife has come here almost every year to get ornaments with all of our names and the year at the bottom to add to our Christmas tree. We've also gifted my parents Similar items with all the grandkids names on it. They always go a quick and good job and the ornaments are always sturdy and have good handwriting and very legible to read. Overall it's always a fun trip to stop in here and browse and see the options. As my family is continually growing so is our shopping history here. We may be the reason they come back every season :). Pretty cool holiday tradition we do and usually after getting our new ornament made it always gets us in the holiday spirit.

Popped in this past December to pick up a Snowman house that my daughter wanted, and sure enough, they remembered me, mask and all. They brought out my house, faded receipt, just waiting on us. That's honest business. For that alone I will always shop with this group. Again, staff is friendly and knows their product. I have referred countless folks to them and will continue to do so.

When we took it back to the store (on 9/30, more than a month before the holiday) and explained the issue, the sales staff was not empathetic and told us because it was holiday merchandise they would not take it back nor offer in store credit. To make matters worse, they stated this had never happened before and implied the problem must be with our address. My advice? Do NOT shop local. Hit Hallmark or a big box store. You'll be better off.
