I walked into this cute spot this afternoon, and I loved the atmosphere. Once I walked around and started reading about the place, I liked it even more. The staff was super friendly, and I read about the impact they're making in the local community. There are large, tall ceilings, plants perfectly placed throughout, and natural light. I enjoyed a bagel, which didn't have much flavor, but hey... we're not in NY. And a chai latte. Would love to come back to work during the day sometime. read more

The staff here is friendly and there is a lot of space to sit. They also give some of their proceeds to charity which I think is really cool! They have some vegan pastries from Happy Little Treats which is a plus. The biggest downside is that parking is very limited and it is all pay to park. Personally I was also devastated to see that they carry minor figures oat milk as I prefer to get an oat latte when going out but minor figures tastes awful to me. Loved the spacious layout, nice table size for working/studying along with comfortable music volume playing. The barista, was the best and he was very courteous and gave each customer a unique art stamp with their beverage order. Wow! My Carmel latte is delicious!!! I forgot to tell the barista I wanted a medium, so it's my fault I got a small. I can't wait to try the macchiato. They had some pastries. Located in a new luxury apartment + shared workspace building known as Gravity, The Roosevelt's vibe much embodies that third space magic of "home away from home". Cafe lovers will rejoice at the high ceilings, large windows, and variety of seating choices with easy access to outlets and functional Wi-Fi. Music lovers will swoon at the vinyl collection spinning reliably in the background. Activists will spread gospel of the LGBTQ-friendly staff and free sanitary pads in the bathroom. Any of these would happily wax poetic about Roosevelt and rep their merch (on sale next to the cashier). And we haven't even gotten to the high quality coffee. I love Roosevelt! And I'm addicted to it now that they've added oat milk to their menu. I heard about this new location from the baristas at the main one and decided to check it out with some friends. You can find parallel parking across the street or really all around the area. We parked in Gravity's garage though, because I love garages. You can get your ticket validated for an hour which is a plus! When we walked in past 2pm, it wasn't all that busy. It's a nice open space with mostly neutral colors. It's got a slightly industrial feel with modern touches. There's a mural with modern art on one wall and a garage door that I'm most certain would be open if it wasn't 90 degrees outside. The baristas are friendly! I enjoyed talking to the guy at the register. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk and a pump of mocha. Yum! Refreshing! My friends got an iced latte with oat milk and a pump of caramel and an iced cappuccino. They both enjoyed it! We sat and chatted for a bit. Music booms out of a fabulous record player. Yay! It got busier as we sat for the next hour, but in general, the barista told me that it's not super busy here because Gravity isn't quite filled up with tenants yet. I will add that the atmosphere felt a bit different here. While the baristas are still hipster, most of the customers weren't. I miss that about the original location. Oh. Me. Goodness! I'm so jazzed about Roosevelt Coffee's newest location, and possibly most beautiful location, at the Gravity complex in Franklinton. Located directly under a ginormous rainbow-colored mural off Broad St., you can decide to enter through the front door or on a sunny day, through the giant garage doors to the right of the building. The space is open, airy, has tons of natural light, and carries the same flare and local feel as their other coffee shops. A record player jolts out easy-to-listen-to jams, there's plenty of outlets for those needing to juice up during their stay, and the coffee is DELICIOUS (as always)! My go-to is a latte with some sort of milk alternative added in replace of cow's milk. On a warm day (like today) I get that on ice. I really love seeing that oat milk is picking up steam around central Ohio and of course they have it on the menu, along with almond, soy, etc. In my opinion, the extra .70 is totally worth it. The texture is unlike any other alternative milk I've had and it doesn't disrupt the flavor of the coffee as much. Definitely give it a try if you happen to be cutting our dairy. Heads up, Roosevelt also offers a seasonal drink menu and the options are always fun and creative. You seriously can't go wrong there. I am already looking forward to my next trip here and imagine I'll continue coming back again and again. The environment had me focused and locked in work mode and the coffee kept me going. I've had a few of their specials: the cold press ice coffee with lemonade is quite good and the Roman mule was awesome. I've also had a few espressos and a cortado here, and they've been excellent. I say that because whenever I look for a good coffee shop to post up in, it has to have high ceilings, enough space in between tables, natural lighting, and seating options for large groups. This place has it all! Specifically, there's a long table that sits close to 20 people, multiple options for groups of 4, and single-person tables. There's also a large seating area at the bar too. For the coffee, I'm a black coffee type of person -- they rotate their menu for that and it's definitely strong. The only thing worth noting is that the parking is not too convenient. If you ever were looking for the "most local coffeehouse" energy this wins the spot. For a Sunday afternoon it was fairly slowly and steady; the barista was managing the entire cafe super well! He was super friendly and quick with everything he did. Also to his recommendation, I also tried the poptart. A smidge too sweet, but somehow perfect temperature and overall a good, balanced pairing. I was popping in before doing some work nearby and dropped in to get some work done and fuel up on caffeine. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and was told that it would take a few extra minutes (no big deal!). The staff was super friendly and also helped get me to the correct wifi on my computer. The coffee was delicious and got me amped up for the day. It was busy, but not too crowded and it was easy to find seating. The wifi was also super speedy (which is always one of the top things I look for in a coffee shop). I really loved all the natural lighting in this space. I'm very particular about the kind of environment I can be productive in and this place has everything: good coffee, variety of seating options, WiFi, outlets and natural light. It was not too crowded at all and the noise volume was at a low-medium background level. Definitely will be coming back. I paid around $2.50 for my Americano which is a very fair price. The coffee was strong with a good ratio of water to espresso. I ordered a cup of coffee. The girl at the register told me that they don't carry sugar and that I should use stevia which I dont care for. Not carrying sugar is a first for me at a coffee shop. The coffee I received was very bitter and tasted burnt. While waiting to return my coffee a customer asked for pop tarts to be heated. The girl at the register told him that they don't do that. When the customer informed her that he has had them heated every Sunday, a second employee agreed to heat them. To sum up the experience, they don't carry sugar, they only deserve pop tarts cold unless you confront them and the coffee is awful. (Not a single employee checked the coffee in the pot when I returned it) We live near the Long street location but drive to the West Broad because it's often slower and quieter. Now we know why. Another fabulous location for Roosevelt! A brand new spot within the Gravity building on W.Broad, which will be a huge benefit to Franklinton. It has everything you love about their other space; room to network/work, sense of community, good service, delicious coffee. They just opened on Saturday, and I had a chance to stop by this morning on my way to work. There is free parking on the street or paid parking behind the building (parking garage - pay by the hour, they will validate inside the shop). This place was already bustling for being so new. Funny enough I ended up at this location by accident, but I wasn't disappointed. I ordered an iced soy latte and it was fantastic, their coffee is by far one of the best in Columbus. Very cute atmosphere, it is an open room with big windows though so it was kind of hot. Other than that, no complaints. The baristas were very nice as well. Great place to study with friends! My major complaint, although not the coffee shops fault, is the location. If you don't pay to park in the garage around back, all other parking across the street is super sketchy and it'll take you quite awhile to even cross the busy road.
